The search started when my wife contacted several companies for our wedding shower (The Decor Stop was #5 on list). Mala was the first (the other 4 didn't bother responding) to return our call and right away, we knew we were dealing with a professional. Mala took the time to know exactly what we wanted so she can create an unforgettable event. She was engaging and pleasant to speak with. She even called throughout the planning process to check how we were doing overall and offering any other help we might need. Discussions over phone, emails, texts, pics, videos were all part of the planning. Even with all that info, Mala needed to physically see the space so she would have a better feeling for what she could offer and boy did she deliver! The place was absolutely stunning! My wife has a talent for decoration and planning but even she was so blown away. Mala and her team worked with Tracey seamlessly, implementing her creative touches. I was at a friends daughter's bat mitzvah several weeks ago that was planned by Amy Winters Event.....I was expecting the same, usual run of the mill parties. It was transformed into a fantasy world I could not have imagined. I complimented the parents of the party and they pointed to a woman across the dance floor. They told me that her name is Amy from Amy Winters Events. I have since hired Amy to plan my wedding. If Amy can create a fantasy for a 13 year old. I…read moreengaged Amy Winters Events last December for my son's Bar Mitzvah in September and she was supposed to help me along in the process and make my life planning a monumental event much easier. Unfortuneately that was not the case. She was impossible to work with and whatever I asked her to do she basically had little to no interest in helping me along. She was happy to take my money and promised that she would do anything and everything for the event. The contract read coordinate, design and execute affair. She did not coordinate, she certainly did not design and I guess she executed but was happy to leave early that evening and never even mention that she was going. I had no guidance, I did invitations, accessories, party favors, bags, labels,etc. I asked her for help with entertainment for the kids she told me to talk to the entertainment company(pure energy who is amazing). I had nothing but attitude for 8 months. I would have had more pleasure burning my money. For all you out there looking for a NYC/NJ based party planner this was not the best choice.
