I will say I had a great experience with hair/makeup and dress but photography was such a horrible experience. We saw sample pictures beforehand and decided to go with Rahel but the pictures we actually got were no where near what we were given. I will preface and say that we were pre-warned that we were double booked that day and were not going to get the main photographer,however, I am not just upset at the quality of photos but just the lack of professionalism that followed. We ended up taking studio photos that day with the main photographer which actually were edited and came out nice, however, the pictures taken at the venue were terrible with the other photographers. Many of the pictures looked like we were inside a club due to horrible flash. Many pictures we were washed out with flash directly in our faces. Not just that but barely none were edited. We just got a photo dump of nearly 7 gbs of just raw pictures. We hired photography to get professional pictures but we just ended up with a photo dump of just raw photos and terrible ones at that. The worst part is I tried emailing the group about my concerns 3 times with NO response and am just amazed at their unprofessionalism with their clients. I guess once they have your money they just have no regard for you. If at least there was some dialogue about the situation I don't think I would have been as upset but the fact that before the wedding they were very responsive to the silence that followed afterwards is just what is very upsetting.

We had…read morea big wedding with 250 guests and I was anxious all the way up to the day of the wedding, but I was surprised by how much fun we ended up having at our wedding. I would say one big reason is because of Shirley who was there with us every step of the day. I knew I wanted a day of coordinators who are not only bilingual, but also know the Chinese wedding customs. We had many Chinese guests and family members who did not speak English, and this was the first wedding of parents from both sides. I wanted to make sure we have a good time, and our parents are also well taken care of since we will be too busy to tend to them. We had all our vendors booked before hiring Shirley so we booked the classic package. For this package, Shirley started working with us about 6 weeks before the wedding. She introduced herself to our vendors and made sure they had the itinerary before the wedding, attended zoom meeting with us when requested, and she was quick to respond to our requests and questions. Our wedding included elements from both Chinese and Western weddings, it was a 14-hour day including getting ready, gatecrashing, two tea ceremonies, photoshoots, a first look, ceremony, a quick first dance practice, receptions, and three dress changes (7a-11 pm)! With so much to do, we had a tight itinerary, and Shirley made sure the right people was at the right place at the right time so we are on schedule. She communicated with our wedding party on what's next on the itinerary, and guided our parents through the itinerary. Shirley did a mini rehearsal with our parents for the ceremony and reception introduction on the day, and made sure they were there to see our first look through the window without interrupting our own moments. We highly recommend Shirley to anyone who is looking for a wedding planner or day-of coordinator.

She managed all the contracts, rentals, timeline, guest list, COVID regulations, all vendors, all the last minute disasters (and there were plenty). Due to COVID Delta Variant my guest list was decreasing by the day. Ashley adjusted my rentals, seating chart along with per person cost on a daily basis. My hair stylist cancelled on me the night before, the menu printing was delayed due to a storm the night before, the cake was delayed. A bride's worst nightmare!! Ashley worked all night.. to get me newly printed menus, stood outside a salon to get hair extensions, called around cake places to get a new quote under my budget ...and then somehow this crazy woman managed to stay until 3am the night of my wedding to sure everything was in order and my vendors cleaned out. Trust me when I say this the number of things that will go wrong no matter how much you plan is crazy...this is where a wedding planner is a life saver. Not just any wedding planner but a one that is willing to go the extra mile! I had spoken to wedding planners who charge by the hour. I really wish we had had an experience as good as the other reviewers here. Our initial meeting and…read moreconversations with Chris seemed promising, but the actual experience fell very short. The week before the event, Chris told me that the food would be delivered about 30 minutes before the start time of the event so that the delivery person could help us set up. Instead, the food was delivered a few minutes PAST the start time, so that guests were arriving at the same time as the order. It was a terribly inconvenient time to be receiving the delivery, and obviously too late for help setting up. We had ordered assorted appetizers -- crudités and chips/dip. The chips and dip were literally bags of Doritos and etc -- without even bowls to put them in -- and frito lay dips. Like the kind we could have bought at the grocery store for far less. Moreover, one of the items we ordered (pasta salad) was totally forgotten. All of this could have been OK if Chris had handled it better afterwards. I let him know the following day about the mix ups and inconveniences, and didn't receive a response for a few days. At the very least, if you have someone else handling a job, you should reach out to find out if it went OK before the client has to reach out to you. His eventual response was disinterested and perfunctory. All in all, we feel ripped off and cheated. Other than the dessert, there was nothing delivered that we couldn't have gotten at Stop and Shop for a lot cheaper and without much more hassle. I'm really glad we had our own chips and dips to supply because it would have been very embarrassing to put out the bags of chips that were delivered. There was no compensation for the dish that was not delivered, nor any offer.
