Funny story...I am an artist of sorts and am out here on the Cape caring for a family member. My friends asked me if I'd painted anything interesting since I got here and I said, "like what?" One said, "we'll, any rocks or sea shells?" So when I met the owner and she asked if I was looking for anything special, I said, "Well, since you asked, do you have any large cape sea shells?" (Just expecting her to laugh.) But she said, "just a minute" and then came back with two large clam shells she and her husband had gathered from the bay last summer. She gave them to me for free.
