I cannot believe it took me so long to find this! Absolutely beautiful! Great for running, walking, biking or just enjoying nature. They have kayaks and bikes for rent. They have a party room you can rent. They have nice bathrooms. Beautiful scenery and of course the history!

This is where the steep trail starts to get down to the rocks & water.

Rae's Creek Aqueduct Park- I don't know how it has taken me so long to check out what this place has to offer! I had heard of and send pictures of the waterfall/swimming area but wasn't sure how to find it. It was pretty inconspicuous when I googled it, so I want to explain how to find it. If you go to this parking lot and take off over the bridge towards the trails, you turn to the left after the bridge and you are going to get to the point where you Have to go left or right- you go left! (Meaning you do not cross the train tracks- you go the opposite direction) And it's just around the bend. To get down to it you have to get down a trail that's pretty steep, but not too bad! it's easily accessible from the parking lot. I don't know how it's not more popular.

A great museum and boat tour. The captain and docent were very knowledgeable. Great history of this area.

The trailhead starts as one then spits of into two , the converges back into one. It looks like people are driving on this trail which can make it a quite muddy run on days after the rain. Other than that, the trail makes for an excellent run and if you go all the way you'll find yourself at the Savannah Rapids. Cool.

A run down the main trail.

A really nice trail for walking, running, biking, etc. There is a wide trail that is at least 5 miles that runs along the river, and other side trails that are good for mountain biking or hiking. The main trail is wide enough for multiple people, but so far I've not seen too many people on the trail. Good amount of shade and it's very scenic along the river. As a dog mom I really appreciate that at the trailhead there is a water fountain with a bowl for dogs. Overall, very nice trail and I look forward to exploring more of it.

Such a nice addition to the Augusta Canal National Heritage area. The facilities are brand new and very welcoming. There is so much to see and learn about this area. Step back in time as you see remnants of the old Augusta canal gates and control systems. There is a place to park bikes and picnic tables for a lunch or snack. Definitely worth a stop if you're out exploring the canal and want to take a rest.

Water was really flowing because of the rain!

74 degrees and everything closed? Not sure why. I understand it's seasonal but there at least 50 people there wondering why!
