We had a good time walking around and looking at stuff. We didn't end up getting any food because we weren't so hungry but the food did look good! My main complaint is I wish they'd had more seating available, tables and chairs would be nice and more benches or something. I don't think I personally am as into these types events as many people are because things just seem overpriced and with a toddler who can't sit still but also can't play on big kid toys yet, our options were limited anyway. But the event seems well organized and like a fun way to get out and see some downtown shops we hadn't seen before! I suspect we will go next year too.

Also have your ticket ready so you can get in fast, I would advise to take a screenshot of your ticket just in case it doesn't load while there. Lots of local artists and some visitors (I met a performing couple from Virginia) show up to entertain us all. You're sure to hear songs that you know and love as some of the musicians play acoustically and some with driving electric tones. Don't forget to visit the restrooms upstairs. We have been long time subscription holders and have enjoyed and appreciated the play and musical selections, the set design, casting, the creative interpretation of the script and the intimate feeling of the theater. I was particularly impressed by the logistics of table calling for the buffet, a feat I feel could have been disastrous if not planned effectively. I had mixed feelings about the food itself, the squash casserole was delicious, the chicken piccata was disappointingly dry, and the London broil was quite good but they gave you one disappointingly small piece. The dessert, I chose a slice of lemon cake, had a wonderfully light and sweet frosting but the cake itself was a little dry. As for the performance section I was overwhelming pleased by the level of performance skill. It was the opening night, which always has potential mistakes (especially from local or volunteer performers) but it was a pristine performance. Set changes were smooth, the play commentary was well done. The audience was excited to be there and actively took part in the sections where audience participation was called for. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has an interest in musical theater. I will warn you the prices are a bit high for the quality of buffet, but not bad overall (about $53 per ticket for civilians).
