The Greek Festival is one of the best events in the CSRA. It happens twice a year - the spring and…read morethe fall - so chances are you'll be around for at least one of them and you should absolutely check it out! Entrance is free, and there's a lot of free things to do as well; watch the kids perform traditional Greek dances, listen to the live band play traditional Greek music, go on a church tour, and meander around the market. It's a very relaxed atmosphere that's great for grabbing some delicious Greek food and a beer and soaking up the ambiance. The fall festival is bigger and has more food options, but both festivals have the "usual" greek style food such as gyros, chicken and pork souvlaki, greek chicken meal, lamb and manestra meal, spanakopita/tiropita, and of course the full selection of Greek pastries. Everything is delicious, but my personal favorites are the Greek chicken and lamb and manestra. The priest cooks both these dishes himself and slow roasts the lamb to perfection. Prices are very fair and generally on par with similar festivals. You definitely get what you pay for, and the pricier items give you higher quality and way more food, so it's worth it! When the music and crowds get too much, you should head inside for a church tour. These half hour events give you a little bite of history, architecture, theology, and an experience with the sights, sounds, and smells of Orthodoxy. There's some music here too, but of the religious genre, allowing you to experience a very different type of religious music than what is usual in America. Everyone, workers and customers alike, are here for a good time and it shows. Lots of smiles all around, and the workers doing everything they can to make sure you have a good experience!

Located on Broad street! You can visit here for tickets or other businesses related to the festival. It's very cute and modern. Once you step in you feel like you're in another city because of the modern decor. Great festival to add to your calendar.

The inside had Art exhibits that were a part of the Westobou Festival. The outside had a stage setup for a concert, a Ferris Wheel, and tons of games for kids and adults. The space is only occupied by the Festival for about a week. Other than that it is free for rental. Because it is located downtown off Telfair Street the parking situation is tricky. There is street parking and once that is all full, people get a bit creative. Overall, I like the venue. I'd visit again.

As a VIP I 2 coupons for drinks and early entry to the event which gave me a chance to explore better without the big crowd. As i watched the food portions from many 'people trucks some were very large one and some i felt you didnt get a bang for your buck. Trucks that served dishea with rice,pasta, noodles you have some big portions of course and then i saw some that you paid almost $10.00 and were very punny portions. Well, i guess you pay for your taste. This years event was very good in trucks with different varieties on food but we need a another food truck court in our area without just seeing them only at local events. We had one in North Augusta but it failed so sad to say you only see a big gathering of trucks when there is a event like this.

This is a local theater chain (the G stands for Georgia). I found a movie to see despite their…read morewebsite being clunky and making it tough to figure out what was showing. It was a smallish place inside, with no restrooms past the ticket checking unless I missed them (you could go out and come back in I suppose). The seats were spread out and quite comfortable recliners, so at least you're getting a good experience there. It's not a huge screen place to see a blockbuster, though, so I would only occasionally look here.

I've ran a couple 5k's here and they were fun as well. The is also the Julian bbq pitt which is an "hut" like building available for events. I'm most often here because it's a gateway to the Augusta canal trail. Just a short hike to aqueducts or you can take bike ride all the way to Savannah River rapids. You can also kayak and enjoy the lake too. So plenty to do to enjoy the outdoors here :)

The food was cheap, and everything was right beneath the stands (food, restrooms, etc.) Great location next to Lake Olmstead and the trail head which is located behind the stadium. NEGATIVES: 1. Parking is ATROCIOUS. There is very minimal free parking. The lots are made of dirt and gravel, no defined parking spaces. It's quite common to get parked in and be unable to leave until the others nearby come to get their vehicles. Frustrating is an understatement! Some people would walk all the way from parking off Broad Street. 2. Neighborhood not the best, not the worst. Safety at night is definitely more of a concern. 3. Ticket line is always lengthy. The stands can get crowded and there is little room to move around comfortably if you need to stretch your legs. Otherwise, this is a fun facility. I miss it often, even when at current Green Jackets games across the River. I hope it stays around and gets good use!

We have been to imagination station on numerous occasions. My son and I mostly go with the mom's…read moreclub of grovetown but we have also been there for birthday parties. The city calls it a children's museum but really it's more of a play area. They have different sections. One for reading and putting on plays, one for imagination play and one for arts and crafts. My son thoroughly enjoys every visit we make and I love that we are able to partake in pretend play with him as his mind and imagination grow! They have also just installed a brand new playground that is open to the public. The only downfall aside from being ridiculously tiny and feeling overcrowded when there is more than 5 parents in there is that you have to pay for a membership in order to use the facility. If the whole area was open to the public and not just the playground I definitely feel like we would make more trips there. But other than that it's a great place to let your children's minds wander and explore!

I was particularly impressed by the logistics of table calling for the buffet, a feat I feel could have been disastrous if not planned effectively. I had mixed feelings about the food itself, the squash casserole was delicious, the chicken piccata was disappointingly dry, and the London broil was quite good but they gave you one disappointingly small piece. The dessert, I chose a slice of lemon cake, had a wonderfully light and sweet frosting but the cake itself was a little dry. As for the performance section I was overwhelming pleased by the level of performance skill. It was the opening night, which always has potential mistakes (especially from local or volunteer performers) but it was a pristine performance. Set changes were smooth, the play commentary was well done. The audience was excited to be there and actively took part in the sections where audience participation was called for. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has an interest in musical theater. I will warn you the prices are a bit high for the quality of buffet, but not bad overall (about $53 per ticket for civilians).
