I may have had more actually now I am thinking of it, ooops. The coffee is also strong and they have lots of flavoured syrups too. I am big on customer service, it really can make or break a place for me. The staff here are always friendly and have a smile for yo no matter how run off their feet they are. You can take away or sit in and if you take away your muffin is put in a cute little box for you. The seating area is in the middle of Paisley Piazza centre, so it's great if you want a refreshment between shopping but not great if you are looking for a bit of piece and quiet. After an enjoyable walk along the Kelvin River I stopped on the way back and bought a quiche, beetroot salad, lemon bread and a mocha. Once again, soooo good. This place is worth a visit and located just outside the subway and next to the Kelvin River walk. It is very clean and the employees are so kind and helpful.

They will be open later in the evening than some other places - I think he mentioned 6 or 7pm but can't remember which! I only had a cappuccino and a chat with the guy running the place but the service was warm and friendly and the coffee was excellent. They also have a bunch of hot drink options like matcha latte and FIVE different types of hot chocolate! You can get cardamom, ginger and orange, chilli and cinnamon, white chocolate, or cadbury's. All except the cadburys (obvs) are made with real ground up chocolate and the flavors are natural ingredients infused into the chocolate (no artificial syrups, yay!). Plus they don't charge you extra for decaf OR soy! It seems to get pretty packed on the weekends and there are only five tables so it can be hard to find a seat on peak sat/sun lunchtimes, but during the week it's a lot quieter and opens up early enough for me to get a coffee on the way to uni. Food wise they do ALL DAY BREAKFAST :D :D :D (french toast with bacon? yes please), lots of things like poached eggs with black pudding, eggs benedict (called eggs cumberbatch on the menu lolz) breakfast bowls with smoked salmon, bagels, etc. They have gluten free bread AND cakes most of the time for all you non-gluten eaters (no extra charge). They have different types of croque monsieurs for lunch with homemade bechamel sauce (mmmmmmm bechamellll) and their vegan sweet potato filo pie is delicious, even for a carnivore like me :P. The menu offers great variety for breakfast and lunch & there's a wide selection of different hot drinks available too. They have loads of varieties of hot chocolates and I'll definitely be making a return visit for the white chocolate kind once winter sets in! I opted for the blueberry and chia pancakes whilst my friend got the French toast. The pancakes were huuuuuge and came with a lovely, if a bit small serving of yoghurt. They were fresh and oozed juicy blueberries when cut in to. The chia wasn't obvious through them though. My only criticism was that there was only one person serving and cooking. Although the wait for our food assured us it was fresh, tables were left uncleared and we had to wait a long time to order more drinks. Still not going to stop me coming back to sample some of the home baking but I wouldn't go in for a quick bite if you are starving!

Always…read morelooking for any excuse to grab a cheeky caffeine-fuelled beverage I set out along Dumbarton Road to check oot the latest coffee-kid on the block, Meadow Road Coffee. Named so as it sits on the corner of Dumbarton & Meadow Road. They don't have a sign as yet but my coffee-loving eyeballs spotted all the coffee making gear a quality coffee shop doth require & enter did I... I'm a fan of the look of this place - lots of wood and metal which is v.s'nice. Not many tables as such but still a good amount of seating in here. It was both nice and airy & warm (bonus this time of year!) at the same time. The greeting was also very warm from the 2 lovely guys behind the counter. I asked if they had soya milk which unfortunately they didn't so I opted for a regular cow milked flat white. They use Dear Green coffee beans here so straight away I knew it was going to be a damn fine cup of coffee before that liquid jump-cable juice had even hit my lips. Upon the lovely long counter they had a few cakes and bakes - a banana loaf, a salted caramel millionaires shortbread, some peanut butter brownies & also some undescribed biscuits which turned out to be ginger snaps & free ones at that! Yas. Bonus. I took a ginger snap & a brownie home to try later and both were delicious, especially the immense peanut buttery gorgeous, dense, chocolatey brownie, uh! So so good. I'm not even a big cake eater, but I will make an exception at Meadow Road. We were in a couple of weeks back and were pleased to find that they now serve hot food (we were told by a friend that they had issues getting a license to sell food) and we shared a Salmon and Avocado Bowl, which kind of does what it says on the tin. The ingredients are top quality, they don't skimp on the salmon and it has a great salad dressing. I would strongly recommend you try it. The cafe is clearly cut from the Aussie/NZ style, slotting into the West End somewhere between Papercup and Avenue G, without ever feeling like a watered down rip off. They clearly take pride in the quality of their coffee, so I would recommend dropping in, if only for a takeaway. It is out of the way, but we were recommended by a friend and we now go as often as we can. Spread the word, folks.
