I rate this school with a 5 star as it deserving of it. The staff of AUMT have been professional and helpful of me in getting into the program, answering my questions and even preparing me for externship. I was so blessed to have Ms. Owens as my online Instructor, she was thorough in all her online teaching and lessons, and she had a fantastic enthusiasm and optimism in all her classes. She was encouraging, and spurred all her students on in learning and in achieving their goals. I'm so glad I was on of her students. She was a Godsend. After completing the program, and preparing to take the NHA exam for CCMA, I was taking the online practice tests to better prepare for the exam; however, the grades for the practice tests showed my grades to be low/non-passing grades, and I became worried, and started to panic that I would not pass the NHA exam for CCMA. Each practice test I failed was an added discouragement to me, and I was doubtful of any success. I kept pushing back my exam date, three times just because I was not ready to take and did not want to fail. I decided after pushing back the date the third time that I was going to give it all to God and leave it to His will, and that I would in fact take the exam. I prayed and thanked Him for the knowledge I learned from the program, the time and opportunity He blessed me with to be where I was in where He had me, to be still and to rest in Him. If I didn't pass the exam, then what could I learn from it? If I passed the exam, all glory be to God. The day came to take the exam, and I was in total peace. After completing the exam, I learned from Abby we could view the score shortly after taking it via NHA account. I looked at it, and I PASSED! NHA CCMA Certification was there waiting for me to download! I was overjoyed, crying, and texted my husband and my Mom that I passed. My husband was crying for joy for me. My Mom reminded me that the Lord was there with me, and that she knew I would pass. All glory be to God! For anyone reading this review. Don't be afraid to take the exam. This program prepares you well with all the knowledge and training for becoming a CCMA, and the exam was not hard. Trust in the Lord, and trust that you know enough, that you have learned and trained well in this program, that the instructors will prepare you well. I highly recommend this program. read more

I chose this school because of their Google reviews. It seems like anyone will jump to post a negative review but not a positive one. They have like a bunch of great reviews. They have been up front about everything. I love the vibe, they are not pushy at all. They actually told me to shop around and to ask questions. I did. I went two other schools. One was horrible they wouldn't give my any information it was like they were trying to hide something. Get this the other school recommended AUMT! Who does that? AUMT was my first choice anyways but if I am going to invest in a school I sure was going to do my research. I have completed the class, passed my exam and was placed on externship earlier then they said I would be placed. Everything was so smooth! My classmate already got a job at the hospital and he said they are hiring so keeping my fingers crossed. Anyways I wanted to give AUMT a review because they were so patient with me. I ask a lot of questions. I know I am a pest sometimes but they always had a smile on their face. HA HA they are probably glad I am gone. But I miss the school! A+ to my favorite school. read more

So I had an interview 2 weeks ago and I got a phone call yesterday and was offered a job with Quest. I'm so happy! I wanted to thank the school for giving me the tools not to only pass my class and exam but they gave me tips on how to interview. They went above and beyond in my opinion. Obviously you pay for the class and they do what they promise. Jennifer told me that it is up to the me to put my resume out and to put my best foot forward during the interview. She gave me key words to use and let me come back to class and practice my draws before my interview. She went out of her way to take my phone calls and made an appointment for me to come back in after I graduated from the program. I'm sure she was busy as her phone kept ringing but she took the time and gave me all the confidence I needed to ace my interview. I can't believe how easy this process was. I am a graduate of AUMT Temecula. I was in the warehouse field prior to this.Ive always wanted to be in the medical field ,and when i checked into this school i knew that it was something that i wanted to do. In the office you will find Maggie she is the office manager, very nice lady and is very pleasant to talk with. I took the morning class which worked well with my schedule i am glad i did because in the morning class you will find Ms, Jennifer the teacher. Ms,Jennifer is the best teacher ever,she is very knowledgeable,funny, caring,and has a great since of humor.The way she teaches her class you learn a lot and she gets you prepared for the final, and the state test,just make sure you pay attention.I cant speak for the other classes all i know is that i enjoyed myself very much and even after your last day they give you extra time to practice before your externship, and the state test.I recommend this school for anyone that wants to have a great career,or just take the class to add to there existing job. read more

I was a former student at AUMT Institute. From my experience as a student of the instructor Antoni Miranda, the learning environment in his classrooms were lively and educational. As an instructor, Miranda was very helpful to many students, taking his time to explain the material of medical assisting thoroughly. As for the environment in the classroom, he guides students to correctly understand specific material regarding medical assisting. He never hesitates to help a student and takes his time to clarify and answer any questions students may have. In regard to the school, the programs that are offered include Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant, and EKG Technician, which offer great resources to study the knowledge needed to advance in a desired medical career. My experience at AUMT has been exceptional. This was their first year working with Las Positas College so some things were slightly unorganized and the timing of the program could have been a bit better, but I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. Despite this, the staff genuinely cares about our success and goes above and beyond to ensure we have everything we need to be successful. I am grateful for my time there. My older sister took the MA and Phlebotomy class here and she's had a career in both for years now. My brother also took the Phlebotomy course and really enjoyed it. I have taken the MA(Medical Assistant) course and plan to be back soon for another course, my in-class instructor was Antoni Miranda he's young and extremely well trained with so much education to share. Sherry Silver My phlebotomy teacher, Ms. Owen (Doris Owen) was kind, patient and knowledgeable. She made class interesting and instructive. She was monitoring us to do blood drawing safe and learn enthusiastically. Her class was a dynamic one, and when we were done with each session, we felt satisfied. Furthermore, she is a good-hearted person. A good memory I remember is that on the last day, we made a poster about phlebectomy and took pictures together. AUMT Institute is an amazing school. Cheapest program in the area by $1100!! They are fully accredited and legitimate. The instructor Courtney is amazing. She makes the class fun and exciting. I was SO nervous to draw blood on the very first day of class but she made me feel so comfortable. She explains the material so well and made me feel confident for the national exam. I finished the class and can go back to practice my draws for a year and it's FREE. They are always so nice and friendly when I go back. They also helped me add the course and training to my resume. Great school! The staff really cares about you. I got a job at LabCorp! I love working there.... There are literally 2 other people at my location that went to my school. They just attended a different schedule then mine. I had no previous medical experience and I was SO nervous starting this program but my moms friend went to AUMT and recommended them. She works at the hospital now SO I thought why not try? Better than making minimum wage at my other job. This is what they do they give you the skills to make it! I am a recent AUMT graduate, let me just say that prior to starting school here I was very nervous, and a bit overwhelmed, but upon starting class, the instructor Courtney, was very comforting, and encouraging towards me, and all of the other students. Her methods of teaching the curriculum very impressive, and over all my experience at AUMT was a very positive one. I love this school! April and Taylor are ALWAYS there to help you even after you pass your exams. I really like how you can still go to the classes and get more practice in with your butterflies or your venipuntures! Instructor was excellent but as with all schools, they lie to get you there. They claimed that they offer assistance in finding a job. POSTING JOBS ON THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE IN MY OPINION DOES NOT QUALIFY AS "assisting"... I can go on Craigslist and read the ads myself. I wish we would have had more practice with blood draw, and it's not really realistic to send me, non-Spanish speaking, to a clinic in Perris where 1% of the patients speak English. read more

I really enjoyed going to AUMT for my phlebotomy course. My instructor Mrs Andrea was very precise and repetitive in the way she teaches. She uses methods that were very easy to retain the information. The course is very fast paced and you do need to study a lot. I had an excellent experience at AUMT. The program is well-structured and provides thorough training. However, be aware that the requirements are quite strict. If you don't adhere to them, it's easy to fall behind. Many of the complaints on here seem to come from students who might not be meeting these expectations.
