I have had walkers that insist on a schedule 2 weeks in advance and will charge for late cancellations, but Lynne has always been great about allowing us to alter our schedule as our busy schedules change. Now, at 90lbs, he even sleeps on our bed, which had you tried to convince me this would be the case a year ago, I'd have laughed. All that to say that as we prepare to go away on vacation next week, I was getting totally stressed about where Leo was going to stay. Wally...he could go in and out of the garage and survive with someone coming by every couple days with food and fresh water. But Leo? There was no way I wanted to leave him in a kennel. Along came Lone Star Pet Ranch, which we heard about from a friend who has brought her dog here for 7 years. We brought him there yesterday for a 1/2-day "Playcare" session in preparation for a week there. I took my two chihuahuas to be groomed and have their nails clipped, the works. They were calm and relaxed when I picked them up; that means a lot to me.
