I called to schedule home service care for my two cats for a total of 3 days (July 10 to 12, 2021)…read more Christina and Jen came out to my home to meet the cats and so I could show them where the food, litter, and treats were located. At that time the assured me that they would come for the scheduled days and send me pictures or updates regarding my cats. When I left home on Friday I left out 2 bowls of water and 4 dishes of food. Every day that I was away I received pictures and/or updates about my cats via text message. When I arrived home Monday evening (July 12th), both bowls of water only had water covering the bottom and the food was only covering the bottom of ALL 4 food dishes. I have left my cats alone for 2 days in the past, with no one coming into the home to check on them, with the same set up of food and water(2 water bowls and 4 dishes of food). After 2 days of the cats being alone in the past, all of the bowls would still be about 80% full when I returned home. That was not the case when I returned after 4 days away with people supposedly caring for my pets. There is no way that they were filling their food and water daily, like I had contacted for them to do. I was very disappointed, but decided to just pay my bill and move on. I recently requested my keys back and they informed me they would be sent back via certified mail and there was a $20 charge to mail them per our contract. The same contract that stated the cats would be cared for daily. Their audacity in asking for $20 to get my keys back is what prompted me to leave this rating. I normally do not write reviews, but I wanted to warn others who care for their pets as much as I do, to BEWARE OF THIS SERVICE.

She was able to quickly identify the things we were doing that were not working and teach us how to better communicate to our dog. Our beagle also had a lot of aggression with towards other dogs, so we thought. Kate arranged one of our sessions at her friend's house so that her friend and her large German Shepard could stand outside while we worked with our beagle's reaction. Kate immediately saw that our beagle was actually very fearful of the other dog and that what was causing his reaction. Within fifteen minutes we were walking down the street side by side with the German Shepard and its owner without my beagle flipping out! Kate offers sessions in the client's home at a reasonable price. You can pay per session or buy multiple sessions for a discount. As owners of a stubborn, yet oh so cute, beagle, we found our five sessions with Kate to be extremely valuable. We will use what we learned everyday of our lives as dog owners.

I adopted my pup six years ago. He came with multiple behavioral issues which included snapping at…read moremen when they walked by us, explosive barking at dogs if they looked at him wrong, resource guarding, and jealous behavior. While we were able to get most of these issues resolved through the years, we were never able to figure out why he still occasionally snapped at strangers when they came to pet him and he struggled with low confidence. I opted for the stay and train because my partner and I were going on vacation and figured we'd have to board him anyways, why not see if we could help some his behavior too? They wanted him initially for 5 weeks but said they may keep him longer if it takes more time for them to help him through his issues. I liked that they were committed to resolving his problems and took a flat rate rather than just wanting me to pay week by week in hope that they eventually fix the issues. My dog warms up very slowly to new people so I was nervous about how this would go, but the trainers sent me pictures/videos almost everyday. I believe his main trainer was Grace, but he also got a lot of time with the rest of the team. They took him to practice around their barn animals and even to a local town center where he could be around strangers in a real environment. It's been almost a week since I picked him up and learned all of his new skills. Since then, I've been spending time everyday making sure I reinforce the training. I put him in a down (implied stay) while I make breakfast. I'll randomly tell him to put his paws on weird structures while on walks. I take him to pet friendly stores around our area and practice heel up and down the aisles. At first, he tested how serious I was about making him do tasks. Once he figured out I meant business just like the folks at paw and order, he stopped testing me and behaved exactly like I'd seen in the videos. I know some people will look at the tactics they use and think it's unfair, but we need to change the way we look at this. In the world of dogs, discipline is freedom. When these trainers teach your dog the rules of our society, they're giving them a ticket to exist without stress or fear. I know that I'll be able to take my dog to the brewery more often, or to the garden store down the street. It'll enrich his life without stressing either of us out. If you're looking for a magical trainer that will fix all of your dogs problems for you forever and ever, this isn't it. The folks at paw and order will send your pup down the right path and it's up to YOU as the owner to build on this incredible foundation.
