So in Honor of Cinco de Mayo today I decided to be festive and order out food from from Aunt PittyPat. I ordered 2 of the Salsa Trio with Crispy Tortilla Chips with Tomatillo, Mango Habanero, & Roasted Tomato Salsa. Mexican Street Corn Salad. Spinach & Mushroom Enchiladas with Povlano Cream Sauce. Chili Cheese Relleno - Egg battered with a side of Ranchero Sauce. Both served with a side of Cilantro Rice. For dessert Cinnamon Churros with a side of chocolate. I always like to start with the bad so it is over and done with and I can end with the good. So for some reason the payment form was down online and I couldn't pay so I figured that I could pay there but I was wrong which I figured out when I got there. Now that we have that little kink worked out that will not happen again. Second they forgot to give me one of my order of snacks which was the chips and salsa. I really don't know what I expected when they bought my food out but, the way that i received it was not what I thought. Nonetheless I read my instructions as I waited for them to ring me up and get.my other chips and salsas. Finally I am home and it is time to eat i warm up my spinach and mushroom enchiladas & rice in the microwave. They were so i was like this simply is not enough I need another portion. I don't know what she, he , or they put in that poblano cream sauce but thats what I needed on the side because I didn't even open that sour cream and quacomole. The reheating directions said to microwave there was no way I was going to reheat a churro in the microwave no way absolutely not. I put one in each side of my toaster and it came out nice and crunchy and put that chocolate sauce in the microwave and let it melt. I had the perfect chocolate dipped churros. read more

My family has worked with Aunt Pittypat's recently for three separate events, all very different and all executed perfectly. All the women in my family are a very good cooks, and most of us are very well-versed in event planning. So you can imagine, in turning the important task of our big family events over to someone else, we are fairly picking and can be a bit opinionated about the whole affair. Aunt Pittypat's always exceeds expectations, and then some. My grandparents' 65th wedding anniversary was catered by AP's. They wanted to have it in their home and the entire team was a part of making this work for my grandparents. They worked with my grandmother to create her perfect menu, and then they brought in the very best people to set up the event. The menu consisted of several wonderful hors d'oeuvres, salads and pastries. It was perfectly elegant, and exactly what my grandmother had hoped for. Their team used my grandmother's china and silver at her request and did a beautiful job. The following day was Easter, and since we knew we'd all be too busy with anniversary events to prepare an Easter lunch, Aunt Pittypat's prepared that meal as well. They brought this meal along with the items for the Saturday event, with excellent instructions for reheating. I think this is a really great thing to do sometimes, when you know you are having a lot of people in town, especially for a big celebration, and you know you want to spend more time with your guests than in the kitchen. We were so glad to be able to eat a delicious, home-cooked meal with our family, without anyone having to stay up all night prepping dishes. I think everyone in my family loved the meal (which was a traditional Easter meal, with several lovely, upscale, modern touches), as I've come to expect from Chef Christine, Maggie, Leigh and their wonderful team. Finally, most recently, my family used Aunt Pittypat's for a bridal luncheon for my cousin Kelley just before her wedding a few weeks ago. Aunt Pittypat's prepared a beautiful brunch with all manner of ladylike, bite-sized quiches, salads on a small miniature homemade rolls, wonderful fruit displays, veggies and desserts. They brought everything we needed to make a picture-perfect brunch for our little lady. Their staff is very professional, and everything from the menus to the execution and clean up is really outstanding. I know it seems like a luxury to hire caterers for family events, but when your family is big, and the extended family doesn't get to spend enough time together, we're so thankful for the extra time with one another, and the complete lack of stress. It doesn't necessarily have to be expensive to be delicious. My advice is to give them your budget and some basic parameters so they know what you like and what you are expecting, but let them work their magic on the actual menu. Part of the fun of having someone else do the cooking is trying new things you'd never make on your own. read more

Pittypat's catered an event for us this last week and did a good job with the boxed sandwiches. The event was for just under 100 people. They first told us we could only choose 2 different types of sandwiches. After having my people plan to cancel and go somewhere else, they agreed we could have a vegetarian option as well. The sandwiches and wraps were very tasty. The cookies were not the best and I would recommend checking cookie flavors available. Arrived on time, returned with a couple of forgotten items. Would consider using again but would be a little more selective next time. read more

My first experience was rather mediocre, but my second experience was top notch! -Catering for a work function- APC catered a wine education event earlier this year and the spread was really impressive. So, I thought it would be a good idea to order from them for a work function. We were looking for some lights bites and desserts. I placed my order with Lee who was extraordinarily helpful. The food arrived right on schedule and was set up fairly quickly. The creme brulee spoons were a total miss, which was a huge disappointment. Unfortunately, they did not come with burnt sugar on top. Imagine a white soup spoon (like one you'd get at a Pho restaurant) filled with a mayo/mustard colored substance. They catered my wedding March 22, 2019! They were so amazing! The staff was WONDERFUL! As a bride and groom, didn't have time to eat but one lady on staff made it a priority that we ate! Thorough, client-oriented, and hard working staff. You can't stay in the catering business as long as Aunt Pittypat's has been in the mix without getting A LOT OF THINGS RIGHT. Period. I've yet to have a sub-standard meal from this top notch catering firm. (And believe me, I've had some shitty catered meals in my day, so consider this note the highest of praise.) We recently attended an event catered by Aunt Pittypat's. The food was good but the staff was atrocious. The bar tender was incredibly rude and continually told guests that he had worked without sleep for days, that he didn't want to be there, that he couldn't wait for this "thing" to be over, was incredibly put-out by any guests requests, made snide and rude comments to and about guests, was argumentative with everyone who spoke with him and was generally the most unpleasant person ever encountered in an otherwise very happy occasion. Whatever the quality of food and presentation, it was completely overshadowed by this rude individual who acted like it was an inconvenience to be there and could not wait for the event to be over. I would not recommend this company for fear this person would come with any future events as he seemed to be in charge. Most comments made by guests were positive about the food but all commented on the negative attitude and hateful treatment of the guests by this person. Very disappointing. read more
