This is a walk-up service spot, and everyone working there has always been friendly and welcoming in my experience. The space itself has large front windows and a slightly upscale café/diner feel, making it a comfortable place to post up for a bit. They're mostly known for café-style items, but the menu has some really good bites as well. I've had their French toast in the past, and it was great. It's about $3 for a Macchiato. This was only a small amount of espresso but it packed a punch. Has a few cookies and stuff, but all of these contain dairy. There's also a few hydration gel packs for bicycling and exercise. Good enough to come back to again. It's more expensive than the average coffee shop, which is the only bad thing about it. The staff is so friendly, and I love their community card initiative (helps neighbors who may not be able to afford even a small cup of coffee). I tried the puddin' cup latte, which was delicious! I also wanted a snack, so I got the chocolate chip muffin. It was very sweet, but still super yummy. I was able to find street parking pretty easily which is always nice. Additionally, this is one of/if not the most reasonably priced coffee shops I've ever seen in Chicago. I'll for sure be back to try some of their other specialty lattes and pastries!
