Our mother took a precipitous drop in her health two weeks ago. We contacted the HCA office as one of the providers we would consider for her hospice care. When we met with Alyse to both interview her and get a feel for how the organization does business, we were unanimous that HCA was the care provider we wanted for our mother. The office and in person experience was excellent. As to communication and care, I cannot say enough about the professionalism, compassion and consideration of both Alyse and our caregiver, Melissa. In the midst of a very difficult time and circumstance, they both elevated the level beyond the expectations of our family. Sadly, our mother died shortly after care was provided, but it was gratifying to have stellar care during her last days. Thank you so much for helping us and lovingly serving our mother. My elderly aunt with dementia had this homecare service - I had 3 separate occasions that an issue…read morecame up and was addressed. This last issue was it - I had someone assigned to come from 9am - 11am to be with her. I showed up on a surprise visit at 9:25. The binder that they sign off in was dropped off and was completed and no one was at her house! I thought they went to the store for her but her debit card was on the desk. After calling the office the person shows up about 9:40ish. My aunt was unable to remember if they came - if you decide to get this agency you will have to check constantly to see they are doing their job! This persons boss continued to make excuses for the behavior of her employees however she couldn't keep the excuses straight. Just be aware!!!!

My…read morecleaning company Pro's Cleaning (owned by Homecare Health Services & Hospice) sent me a contract that they wanted me to sign...it's a "no compete" contract with a $10,000 penalty if I should take one of their cleaning people! I was told that the Homecare Health Services customers were also required to sign it. Are you serious already? I threw it away, but they called me this morning and demanded I sign it or they would have to stop services. I told them Absolutely and Unequivocally NO WAY! I told them that I could understand if they want their employees to sign that, but not their customers. People, please give a lot of thought before you sign any contract that someone gives you. Here is a scenario... What if one of their former employees comes to clean for me and I did not know she was from Pros Cleaning?? Yep...I would be fighting it in court to keep my $10,000! PEOPLE, DO NOT SIGN IT!!!
