The facility was very clean and well organized, and every staff member I interacted with was professional and kind. The pre-check process was easy and efficient, and the day-of-surgery experience ran smoothly, which helped ease a lot of anxiety. What stood out most was the communication. My family received frequent updates throughout the procedure, which was greatly appreciated. After surgery, medications were conveniently delivered directly to my patient room, making discharge simple and stress-free. Overall, the care felt thoughtful, well-coordinated, and patient-focused. 06-29-2025, On 06-24-2025 between 0700 & 1200, a loved one very close to me was in surgery with Doctor Zeeck. I just can't explain what goes through ones mind while you sit in a waiting room wondering how something is going. I can say this. I worried over nothing. My loved one was in exceptionally great hands. Doctor Zeeck is by far the best doctor I ever had the pleasure of meeting. Professional, extremely skilled, thorough and honest. All the qualities a patient would want in a Doctor. Additionally, this hospital can pride itself on it's upkeep. Everywhere I went during our visit, was very clean and well maintained. My husband was taken to this hospital in a medical emergency. He was wearing a decades old gold chain with gold cross and icon, no chance between his collapse and arrival at the hospital to remove.. It was stolen by hospital staff sometime after his arrival. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Complaints to the hospital resulted in a "we're sorry but can't find it." Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing overall experience with Aurora Medical Care Summit years ago. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I did not find the doctors and nurses to be very helpful or informative when I needed their help the most at Summit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had a much better experience with Aurora Medical New Berlin and the Milwaukee VA instead. Unfortunately, Aurora Health Care has been the subject of multiple lawsuit settlements in recent years. In addition, Aurora West Allis was the setting for the HBO documentary Bleed Out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On a more positive note, I found other positive aspects of Aurora Medical Care Summit. I found the Hospital Chaplain Reverend Steve to be very kind and caring.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I especially loved the chapel which plays calm and soothing music. The Aurora Medical Summit Hospital itself is a state of the art facility. It also has a nice courtyard, library, gift shop, and café. Please do good diligent research, ask questions, and state concerns. If you are in any doubt, don't be afraid to get a second opinion! I strongly suggest reviewing your medical records from time to time so you don't miss any crucial information. Be mindful to chose doctors according to their specialty fields. Try to be aware of your family's medical history if possible. Some diseases are very difficult to detect and early detection is key. No surgery is every really routine and surgeries carry risks. I recommend shopping around for doctors, clinics and hospitals. In summary, Aurora Summit needs improvement in patient care. read more

I have gone to urgent care without insurance in the past and only had to pay $170. So if you decide to visit Bilal make sure to not mention you're insured I guess. Aurora healthcare in Burlington, Wisconsin has gone downhill since being acquired by Advocate group. It's difficult to get an appointment with my provider, or any provider for that matter. The response time for information on tests takes over a week or two and providers aren't even around to answer questions in a timely manner. The providers that I do see are very good so it's not the quality of the staff that's the problem. Advocate Aurora seems to be so focused on profit that they won't hire enough people to care for their patients. I spend part of my time in Italy and part in Wisconsin. I can usually get an appointment with my provider in Italy the next day, or by the end of the week, and test results are sent to me within 24 hours. Specialist appointments are generally the same time frame as my regular provider in Italy. When I lived in Oregon and had Kaiser Permanente in Salem as my provider, I could generally get an appointment within a week with my primary care provider and test results were usually back within 24 hours. Good Samaritan in Corvallis Oregon had similar excellent care as Kaiser. I never had to wait long to see my provider and test results were sent within 24 hours. I am currently looking for a different provider because I am so dissapointed in the lack of personnel at Aurora. read more

Dr. Meyer is a terrible physician, every appointment with her was a pain. She also diagnosed me with an std without a positive result which then by an obgyn then told me I did not have it. She prescribed me a sleep medication that was supposed to last me until I switch doctors but they miscounted and refused to correct the mistake. read more

One particular nurse on Triage needs compassion training. Who wouldn't be upset if you are told one thing at 9 am on a Saturday and then after 3 more calls because you got no call backs, you are told something completely different. Very disappointed in Aurora Summit Triage! read more

Experience with reception has gone to more of a business feel. Somehow you entered a fake phone number for my contact info. Also after years of coming here, you leave a message that you need a new insurance card or $100 to confirm an appointment?! Then when I present a card with a print out of vision benefits, you demand an updated health insurance card in case there are other charges. And somehow you have subscribed me to your aurora foundation spam emails asking for donations- yet if I try to unsubscribe I have to give all of my contact info and wait 72 hours to be off the list? You have quality doctors, but your system is starting to turn me off. read more

The doctors and majority of the staff here are just amazing. They have gone above and beyond for myself and baby. I took one star off my review because of the advice I received from a nurse, had I listened, my baby would have died inside me. Luckily I didn't and had an emergency C-section the next morning. Dr. B walked out on his practice in July leaving his patients scrambling for care and his staff screwed. His staff literally told me that. Clearly he never read his hippocratic oath. To add injury to insult Advocate Medical which is considered to be one of the poorest run institutions completely disconnected from its patients has continued to bill and send to collections 2 office visits from which I was not even in the state. All corroborated with documentation. The office manager is non existent and it is near to impossible to actually speak to ANYONE from the office as ALL calls run through a myriad of off site centers who then must only message the office and you do not receive a reply. I have never experienced such a poorly run and inept medical practice in my life. STAY AWAY FROM ADVOCATE AT ALL COSTS! read more

I went to Aurora summit for a doctor's appointment. The doctor ordered a prescription for me. I went to pick it up at the pharmacy it was not the correct amount. Deb the nurse ordered it incorrectly. I called Aurora back spoke with Deb the nurse she kept repeating herself its now corrected. So I went back to the Pharmacy again to get the corrected one but she put it in for no refills which the doctor requested 1 refill. This has caused a lot of unnecessary work for the pharmacy and myself to correct this and the phone calls that had to be made. This is very concerning to me this nurse doesn't understand what the doctors orders for prescriptions are. I hope this doesn't continue to happen or there will be liability for this clinic. read more

Went to ER for a possible broken collar bone, everyone from the receptionists to the Doctor was very gracious, concerned and attentive. They told me that I could sit in the waiting room while my mom went with my dad for surgery. We had to travel 1.5 hours to the hospital. My mom was in an accident the day before so she has no vehicle. So when I got here they told me I had to wait in my vehicle. The lady doing the COVID check in was being nasty and rude. I was told the day before I could sit in waiting room. They sent the rent a cop to come talk to me after asking to speak to a supervisor. They couldn't even take the time to come talk to me. The rent a cop said be back in five minutes and 15+ minutes still not back. Just how they keep telling me they will be back in five minutes. Great hospital. Not. I am writing to warn people who have elderly parents using the Aurora Health Care services in Sheboygan WI. I have found the care provided by their GP Jacob Demaster to be absolutely sub-par for people with dementia and their age. In addition the hearing aid specialist advised them to buy hearing aids that were double the price of what they really needed. If you have elderly parents that are getting care at any of the clinics, you really need to beware!!!! read more

These people overcharge and then sue their patients for the inflated charges. Richmond is less than $100 for an office visit. Aurora is over $300 and then they charge on top of that for a first visit. They have sued people for not paying these inflated amounts and will destroy your credit rating and garnish your wages. Absolutely cruel and horrible customer service. I have been paying way too high of an amount for a very long time, NEVER missed a payment for an EMERGENCY SURGERY and some how my payment date gets switched and then switched back so their system missed collecting a payment. So now either I pay DOUBLE my bill or the customer service agent was threatening collection agencies as I am bawling my eyes out on the other end begging for other options because i can not afford double my bill. Well he decided to cancel my payment plan and put me up as bait for the collection agencies. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. We aren't just money we are real people with other bills and struggles. No compassion or options. I will NEVER deal with them again. Six months after moving to Wisconsin my husband goes into atrial fibrillation. In a panic I do a quick hospital search. Totally unprepared!! I knew the 30 mins drive was what we had to do. We show up to the ER about 730pm and my husband was taken back right away. Having been through this before we knew the drill. The nurses were great and the doctor we saw was extremely thorough. They tried to get his heart back into a normal rhythm, at no faulted their own, they weren't able too. He ended up being admitted and off he went. They ran so many tests to make sure his heart wasn't damaged. Tests that were never run when we saw doctors in California. His nurses were so great! Attentive also funny, which to us matters when you're stressed out. We would absolutely come back here! As to several comments I've read online about their food (not necessarily YELP)... I can't say Ive passed up a hospital because their food wasn't five stars. I'd rather have five star doctors and two star food. That said, the food was fine. It was more than fine. But the staff, that was definitely five star service! read more

Aurora is a jagged up with their billing. I asked what my out of pocket after insurance pays for a echocardiogram. The billing department gave me a quote in writing of under 400$. I told them if the price is to much. I'll skip the test. The gentleman who talked to me on the phone told me to not worry. Just go get my test. If it's to much. If I am in the income guidelines. I can apply for the Helping Hands program. Ok. Go get my test. First get one bill of over 700$ I was fuming mad. It was more than what billing told me it would be. Then I got a 2nd bill making the total bill 1004$. They said the doctor who read the test bills separate. Nothing itemized on my bill what the charge was for each part of the test. Like for the test itself and then the doctor who read it. I told them I can't afford this bill. That I was told just under 400$. They said that is an estimate only. You can't go on a estimate. I said I asked for the price to see if I could afford it. Now I can't. So I'd like to apply for the Helping Hands Program. I got told now. Since I have insurance. I don't qualify for that program. When I had insurance and used Ascension. They gave me financial assistance on what I couldn't afford. Aurora told me they could only give me a payment plan. I said A payment plan on money I don't have. Since you billed me for more than I was told my bill would be. They said if by the 3rd statement I did not pay on the bill. It was going to collections. I said send it anywhere you want. You won't get money out of someone who doesn't have any to give. The bill did get paid out of money that was my husbands dentist money for 2 crowns he needs. That he is not getting because Aurora screwed up giving me a bill more than the billing people told me it would be. read more

They are sending my husband home when he went to the ER with a diabetes sugar level of 672. The last time they did this he was put in -iCU the next day with diabetic ketoacidosis and has not gotten better to the point of being disabled. Horrible. On Sept 27th, 2018, I went for a visit to my doctor. The doctors office isn't in question. It's fantastic. However, the Aurora billing department needs re-training. A few weeks after my doctor visit, I got an email stating that I had to pay a co-pay. I had paid my co-pay when I visited my doctor since they require it when you "sign in". So, I ignored the letter because I knew I had already taken care of my portion of the bill. On a later date, my insurance company paid the rest of the bill. Well, here it is 14 months later and I get a bill from the collection agency saying that I owe a $40 co-pay for my visit on 9-27-2018. So, I looked at the statements that I got from Aurora, and also from Humana (my insurance provider). On the Humana website (while I was logged into my account), it shows that I had paid my $40 co-pay. I did a screen snapshot. Then I pulled up a PDF document that Aurora had sent me in March 2019 which shows that everything they billed me for...was paid. So, after seeing these 2 documents, I called Aurora to tell them that they must have a clerical error. I spoke to a woman named Denise K. (I won't publish her last name even though I have it). She said that in her computers, they weren't showing any payments. I forwarded her both documents (the screen snapshot from my insurance provider, and the payment PDF from Aurora)...showing that I owed no money. She asked if I had some sort of receipt...so, I'm glad that I paid with a credit card. I quickly went on to my credit card account online, downloaded the PDF for that transaction, and sent it to her (which showed that my credit card was used to pay the co-pay for the full $40). She said that this wasn't good enough and now she wants my credit card number. Well, I'm not giving you my credit card number so you can bill me again! Not gonna happen. I was trying to explain that I have given her 3 different documents showing that I owed nothing to Aurora, and as I was trying to re-explain each document, this woman, Denise K., would cut me off in the middle of my sentence and would not allow me to finish explaining all the different resources...which showed that I paid. She walked all over my portion of the conversation and would not allow me to speak. I tried again...and she wouldn't let me speak again. At this point, I interrupted her since that's how she wanted to hold this conversation...and told her that Aurora can take me to court over the $40 because the judge will take one look at my credit card statement, and see that Aurora had been paid. She tried to interrupt me again and prevent me from speaking. At this point, I told her that she was being rude and that I didn't appreciate the fact that she was not allowing me to speak. I grit my teeth, and I was pleasant, and told her to have a nice day. I'm so agitated with these people. I provide 3 forms of proof that they were paid, and they refuse to even review what I provided for them. Sadly, I think I will look in my insurance network to find another health care facility that is not Aurora. They clearly need to spend more time training their staff about being courteous but also how to read documents instead of just demanding payments (especially when they have already been paid). read more

Went to this hospital for surgery. Be very careful. Surgeon was great. The anesthesia doctor did not listen to the reasons for NOT to use a fistula arm for IV. This caused an infection in the arm. Required 3 and a half days in St. Luke's hospital. Registered a complaint, of course they found no error. Sent registered letter to President of the hospital and of course NO response. Fortunate for us this did not effect his "kidney that was Transplanted". Thank God. read more

Aurora is very clean and has a professional atmosphere. There are greeters at the entry to help direct to the different departments as well as ample signage. The pharmacy can take awhile so be prepared to wait a while or return for pickup. Remember to check in and not rely on prescription being filled because doctor sent it down electronically or the wait will be even longer. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS EMERGENCY ROOM! My husband was hit by a car and was unconscious, had broken bones, and was cut up severely on the scene. He awoke in the ambulance, so they took him here instead of froedert. They took two catscans, wrapped his wounds, then told him to call someone to pick him up. At the hospital less than 2 hours for a major accident. His discharge instructions had no details other than to keep the wounds clean and apply ointment. What kind of ointment? What kind of soap? What should we look for in regards to infection? What about the fact he was unconscious, should we monitor anything? Nothing given. Then they call the next day and make an appointment for the orthopedic doctor to follow up on the bones and he asks us who we are following up with on the rest of the wounds. How are we supposed to know, we got no instructions. I'm taking him to pro healthcare for follow up, this is so concerning that hopefully my insurance will cover a follow up with someone who cares that he was in a major accident and needs actual treatment and information. read more
