The Urgent Care on Edgerton was open until 8:00 PM, and we rushed over. The facility was clean and professional. My wait was negligible. A nurse took my vitals and politely asked me to wait for a physician. Dr. Chaudhry spoke to me with understanding and expertise. His bed side manner was reassuring. The EKG was normal and multiple blood pressure readings were taken. Fortunately, my Systolic pressure dropped from 190/101 to 160/82. Dr. Chaudhry continued to monitor my progress and finally sent me home. I felt 100% better. This is the only Urgent Care to use if you live south of Shorewood.

Please, let this old man have a modicum of dignity, even if, or especially if, I'm coming in here for something uncomfortable. The biggest problem is Aurora's pecuniary greed. You'll be treated fine if you've got the right insurance, but they want to make very sure you do have insurance. Then after your visit, If your insurance doesn't cough up their share with adequate alacrity, or if you wait a couple of weeks to pay your share, you'll be sold to a collection agency faster than falcon diving on prey.

**First of all, not sure why this is showing up as Dan Rogers; this is Ascension St Marys West…read moreAllis Clinic.** I've been coming here for more than 25 years, even after I moved farther away. But things in the past year have really made me seriously think about finding a new clinic for my entire family. I've been chastised by staff (mostly front desk/phone as well as some physician support staff) on more than one occasion. Most recently, I've had to make an appointment with another clinic doctor because my doctor is out on leave. This was just for a med check and refill. Shortly after the appointment was made, the doctor's assistant called to let me know I didn't need to be seen yet, they'd send in the refill, and to make an appointment for late February. I got a call on Monday from the clinic I don't answer because I didn't have any upcoming appointments. The voicemail was from the dr's assistant with some questions for me ahead of my appointment. I immediately called back because this appointment was canceled. The woman on the phone talked down to me explaining why the RN/MA had called me. I explained that I knew WHY she called, but that I needed to speak with her to clear this up since she was the one that told me I didn't need an appointment yet. I was told she was unavailable. The woman then said she would go speak with the doctor and call me back. When she called back, I was told that they only refilled the prescription because there was an understanding that I had this appointment. Again, this is not what I was told. She then told me that because I got the refill but "skipped" the appointment, this doctor would not be seeing me as a patient and would give me no more refills. So I asked what my options are and what I'm supposed to do now? I got very immature responses like "yeah, I don't know" and "uh, I'm not sure". I've reached out to Ascension online and have gotten no response. I will not be calling since I have not had a good experience on the phone with them so far.

Up until two years ago, I never had a PCP before. I worked with Dr. Daniel Lemieux. He was a…read morewonderful person to work with! He made me feel comfortable and helped me get on blood pressure medication. Then he had to leave and work elsewhere. That was unfortunate, but understandable. Ascension set me up with Dr. Daniel Rogers. I saw him recently and will not be returning. After waiting 40 minutes past my appointment time (I understand doctors run late, it is okay but not acknowledged by him), I met Dr. Rogers. It was uncomfortable meeting him. He seemed very high strung. The first thing he says to me is, "O my God, your blood pressure is sky high! We need to put you on a third medication!" I replied, "I'm not sure about that." He then says, "Well, I know you don't want to but you will anyway, right?" Pushing medication right off the bat is not helpful for me. I'm open to further medication management but not when it seems to be presented aggressively and not given justification prior to suggesting. I also need someone who is a bit calmer. In the field I work in, building rapport is key. Also, motivational interviewing is something that is regarded to be helpful in getting clients to make changes in their life. Rapport building, bedside manner, and MI are three of things I suggest he work on if he wishes to continue retainment of his patients. I will be seeking a doctor elsewhere. It is unfortunate it went this route. First impressions do make a big difference.
