Arete Music Academy is the best music school I have ever been to. I've taken music lessons in the past and researched many schools and Arete has a system that works. Their approach to music is sustainable and they make music fun and easy to learn. My daughter started going to Arete music academy at 3 years old. She is now playing short piano songs and getting much better. My son was also part of the meet the instruments class and also started at 3 as well. He loves to sing and has developed a lifelong appreciation for music. I even took a few piano lessons myself and was very impressed with how much I was able to learn in such a short period of time. Their staff is top notch with the best credentials. In addition to being scholars of music, they are a nice group of people that interact well with people of all ages and backgrounds. Other things that I like about Arete are: 1) The academy is very neat and clean and well laid out with many sound proof music rooms. 2) They have the finest pianos, Steinway, Yamaha, Kawai which are excellent for taking lessons on and are perfectly tuned! 3) The office staff is very nice and easy to talk to. 4) Top music staff from all the best music universities. Not only do they know music in and out, they can teach it very effectively. 5) They have many programs for all ages and instruments. There is something for everyone. This is definitely hands down the best music school in the area. I wish this Academy was around when I was a child. My daughter has been taking piano lessons at Arete for a little more than a year now. She loves her teacher who is enthusiastic and loving. She's made music learning fun for my daughter, which makes me a happy mom. As a parent, I like it there for several reasons: 1) their space is always nice, clean and bright 2) their instruments are in good conditions 3) the staff is very friendly and helpful. I started 1x1 piano lessons with Miss Emma for my younger son. Miss Emma is so patient & so sweet. My son has an appreciation for music and has attended several classes like "Meet the Instruments" but at 4 years old, he is still quite fidgety and doesn't respond so well to instructions. Miss Emma knows how to manage him - she is firm but still caring and affectionate. Plus points for the delicious coffee while I am waiting for my son! read more

This year I had to watch my nephew for a week and took him Arete Music Academy for a couple of piano lessons with Mrs. Jae Min, and I left with a positive impression! Mrs. Min was pretty patient with my nephew and she was a wonderful teacher. My nephew started off with Arete in the Meet the piano class and he enjoyed it so much he signed up for private lessons since 5 years of age - he's 7 now. The Academy is very nice and conducive to learning. I also attended one of his recitals and it was really well organized and the students all played excellent! I can tell the faculty are all wonderful. Currently my kids are also in music class in my area and I would rather enroll them in Arete in a heartbeat. I looked at the prices and it's similar to how much I'm currently paying. It's reasonable considering the area, for being able to use their facility, and your child being taught by excellent trained teachers. Go check them out! read more

Both my kids (5 years old) have started taking the piano classes this fall and both now show interest in playing their little keyboards at home. They seem to really like playing piano now and show off their skills to anyone who comes to our home! read more

My youngest son has joined the Music Appreciation class for the past 4 weeks and he's loving it! He was shy in the first two classes but has become more vocal and active since the third class! He's eager to move around now with the music and sing his favorite song, Happy Birthday, when the teacher plays with her guitar. My little ones love the instructors at this music school. The teachers are super friendly and dedicated. I Cant say enough about the quality of lessons given at this place. I see my kids fully engaged on a regular basis. They actually practice their lessons on their own. read more
