I woke up one morning to find my knee in such pain that I could barely move it off the bed, much…read moreless walk. I needed help to get up and get to a chiropractor who helped get things moving again and somewhat reduce the pain to where I could at least hobble or use a wheel chair on my own, but after a month the pain had not gone away. I was told to see my primary care doctor who took some X-rays and told me there was nothing they could do, that I had a degenerative condition that would only get worse and all they could do is put me on pain medication. That medication actually doubled my pain though and so I quit taking it after a week. Then I found Patrick at Fastback Physical Therapy. Within 15 minutes of a free examination Patrick assessed the issue, came up with a treatment plan and declared he could fix it within 6 weeks without drugs or surgery. I was pretty skeptical, but he was dead on. Six weeks later my pain was complete gone with no drugs and no surgery. My range of motion was restored and I was back to hiking in the woods for miles and miles with my family again completely pain free. Incredible. There is a saying that goes something like, 'Any technology sufficiently advanced will appear to be magic to those who have never experienced it'. Truth be told, Patrick and his team understand and apply the science of motion and how the body's ability to heal itself works at a level much higher than any other Doctor that I saw, but to me it just felt like magic.
