My child went to this school about three, four years ago. It was our neighborhood school and as far…read moreas schools go, our worst experience. My kindergartener at the time was being heavily bullied at this school. As far as I am aware of this mostly happened during the breaks. The noon duties are too busy chatting, so they are unable to properly supervising our children. I am still a young parent, so I have lots to learn. I didn't know that elementary kids are that mean.. nor was I sufficiently involved in the whole school thing.. I am too consumed into work and being stresses and tired.. I lost out of sight what really matters. Looking back, that is a huge regret! I thought my son was in a safe place. He was not. Beyond being bullied, he was assaulted more than once. He was pushed off the equipment on the playground and nobody noticed. My son had a concussion. Nobody noticed. The noon duty did not apologize. The principal did reach out... mr Agnaiak is the name, I believe. When I approached my sons teacher about it, the response was "so, are you saying that the duty was not doing her job?" Shy as I was back then, I said no... but I should have said yes. Yes, your noon duties were not doing their jobs. Or my son would not have suffered on your premises. I'm sorry that I took him to this school. And I'm sorry that I was ignorant, I had no idea that sensitive or shy children get no guidance or protection by teachers and just how mean a lot of our children are. You parents need to spend more time with your children and raise them properly! Your kids are bananas! But, yes my five year old have a concussion on your premises.. and he was assaulted by a class mate. A student pushed him on he ground, pushed his face into the snow and sat on his head... my son looked sad when I picked him up, so I asked him what was wrong, and that is what he told me. I approached the duty about it and the only thing she said was "I cannot tell you the names of other students m" or something like that. That was not the response I was expecting, so I did not know what to say. My son told me who the child was, so I told the grandmother that was picked the kid up.. the school would have done nothing. They do a sucky job at protecting your kids!!! I should have known when I was signing my sons up and there was a kid in the nurses room because a student had rammed a pencil into his neck.. oh my gosh.. I know you can't say only bad things about the school.. but a few other things do come to mind. This school needs parent volunteers, the school is sort of out of control of the students.. I don't know what else the problem would be? Thinking back makes me sad and angry. I know I did not speak up back then, when I should have. I was not thinking the right way! But I emailed the principal about this two years ago, and I received no response.. shows how much they care.. Also did I mention to the principal that I watched an elder female teacher pull a student around by the shoulder.. I should have said something too when I saw it back then.. I was just young and stupid. I'm sorry I put my son in your hands. Very. An upset parent of a former student.
