Was asked if I wanted to go ahead and pay even though I was missing a few forms. I declined and said I would return with everything complete and pay then. The lady handed my stuff back all separated instead of putting them in the folder they were originally in. She basically sat there and watched me put all the piles back into the folder before I left. Thirty minutes later, I realized they never gave me back my driver's license. I had to drive back to get it. Customer service is sloppy and unmindful. Would not recommend. I can't express enough how shocked I was at how friendly they were! I walked into the little building expecting your classic bored-to-tears, don't-smile-just-sit-there-and-fill-out-your-bloody-paperwork zombie type of personnel and instead was greeted by an actual human being with a big 'ol smile on her face! I must say that was refreshing. She was VERY nice, cheerful, and helpful. I had some questions on paperwork, needed some notarizing, fingerprints, etc... and she had all the answers and even made me some copies without charging me. If you are in a bind ie find out at the airport that you need an updated passport for a minor on a Thursday right before a holiday weekend, then this is the place to go. My daughter and I ended up in their office in tears straight from the airport at 4:15pm, filled out the paperwork, rushed to the courthouse, and back again to ABC Passport Express so they could put a rush on it. There was a huge chance that we wouldn't get it back from Houston until the following week. During this whole process the gentleman in front and the nice lady in the back office were very courteous, patient, kind, and compassionate. Their demeanor and kindness along with their help filling out the forms kept me focused and calm. He even caught an error that would have doomed our rush order for sure. The next day we received the call that their help in Houston had the passport! We picked it up that night at the airport! The people in this office are the nicest and best passport people you'll ever need. This was in October 2012 and still ten months later I want to testify this company is the best. Our uncle in Canada, who we were going to see for his Celebration of Life party, just passed away a week ago. Praise God we were able to go see him and be there for this important family event. I have gone back and forth about whether or not to leave a review but it was really not a good experience as a mom. This is the 3rd time my baby has needed passport pics (including as a 3-week-old) but was the worst experience of the 3 by far. Per usual he cried throughout while perched on a tall bar stool (not great) and I tried to console him out of shot. The photographer spent a few minutes taking photos but gave no direction; she didn't say a word. After a bit she left the room and I picked him up to console him, at which point I got grief for him not wearing a mask (he's under 2; it's not an anti-masker thing; he can't breathe properly because his airways are small, which is why the CDC guidelines are 2+). I of course respect and strictly follow COVID protocols, but getting a hard time for "taking a break" after the photographer just vanished without a word while my kid wailed was not fun. When I asked if we were done they explained that none of the photos were usable (finally, some direction). Finally, I was able to take that direction, they got a couple shots from a second photographer and we left asap. (To their credit, they didn't charge me for a 2nd set, though they'd printed 4 times as many pics as I'd asked for so I ended up paying twice anyway.) I really appreciate that these are extremely difficult times -- trust me, the last thing I want to be doing is getting passport pics with a baby AGAIN, but it was an emergency -- but I wish there had been better/any communication and more patience with a baby. Would not take a child there again; it made a stressful experience much worse . read more

So great! I unexpectedly had to travel to Canada for work. This place is great! I went there today 2-16-2015 and they were great! I got there before they opened. I saw 3 customers go in before so I followed them in. They had 2 employees working and were already helping the 3 customers in the store. A few seconds later, a woman employee came in right before 9am and offered to help me. She notarized my document and I was in and out of there within 10 minutes! This place is great and If they offer any of the services I need in the future, I will definitely use them. Needed Canadian passport pictures with the stamp on the back for three of my family. Passport Canada is very picky so we were a bit worried. All of the pictures ended up being accepted. $10 for two passport photos may be fair but isn't exactly a deal (especially when you only need one). In fact, it seems very average.

Not the place for Canadian passports. They produced several photos with a glare coming over the shoulder, and tried to convince me that the Canadian government only cared about shadows - not if half the photo was significantly lighter than the other side. I showed them the specifications that required even lighting and asked for them to retake the photo. A second guy took over from there that was just plain rude. He couldn't even produce a photo with even lighting. They blamed it on the shirt being grey..... read more

They did all the paper work, all i had to do was show up. I just wished i had gotten a haircut for my picture... Dont listen to the bad reviews, some people just love to complain. Yea the prices are kinda pricey but i'd say its worth it if you need your passport STAT, pronto, immediately.. Etc. If your passport does not arrive on time, their is a fine print that states they are not responsible for delays due to various reasons. I got mine in 2 days!!! Worth it. read more

I honestly think this might be the most efficiently run business in Austin. I put aside hours to be there to renew my passport and the whole thing took five minutes.
