Austin's coffee is a new favorite to grab a coffee and spend some time reading. I've been a few times now; tried a few good options and a couple different drinks.. but today I wanna give a shout out to one of their employees (I wish I caught his name) he has a little bit longer brown hair, glasses and such a gentle countenance. I was there about 1.5 hours (it was slow) While I was sitting at the table outside he came out to clean up and offered to get me a water, and even refilled my drink! What?! It wasn't the refill that made my day; it was his kindness and attention to detail. We have a lot of ugly in the world right now; and his kindness really made my day! Very disappointed. We drove out of our way to get a good coffee in a real mug. If I wanted a paper cup I'd have gone to Starbucks. When I asked for a latte in a mug the girl at the counter told me they were under staffed (5 employees visible) and didn't want to have to wash dishes. We settled for our paper cup coffee which was luke warm. Not even a good coffee. This place has definitely gone down hill. What a waste of $13. read more

This is one of the most wonderful coffee shops, ever! I've been to coffee shops and cafes all over the world, and this is one of my favorites in the USA. I have to admit, I was honestly SHOCKED, to find this place all the way over in Ripon, California, but I love heading over there, to enjoy their variety of menu options. My favorite drink is their Straight-a latte, their Affogato (espresso with ice cream), their Elementary Chai (comes in iced chai, too), and their creative lemonades. I love their bagel sandwiches (I've had all of them!), and the interior decor is so nice. The owners put a lot of thought and consideration into creating a serene and peaceful spot for customers, and it really shows. The outdoor patio is equally as lovely. So get over to Ripon to visit Austin's Coffee, and then head over to Zinc House Farm (just two miles away) to go pick fruit and get fresh laid eggs! Just went here this morning to get a coffee and study a bit. At around 9am, it wasn't the most crowded. I ordered a latte with oat milk and added some stevia, and it tasted heavenly! Also got a chocolate biscotti on the side which was pretty standard but I still enjoyed it. The vibes of this cafe are also nice, nice layout and love the openness! Since this place opened I have repeatedly received the same poor level of customer service. The food is good but not good enough for me to come here again. The drinks are average in quality but over priced for the size of the drink and the quality of the drink. The service though, is very poor, I will give them credit for consistency though considering the service is always poor & always very slow. The drive through is an absolute joke. Don't even attempt to come through the drive through if you have kids in the car or if you have somewhere to be in a timely manner, the very excessive wait will only ruin your day. Why would the staff here always act like they are annoyed at providing customer service? Or why would the staff not be warm and welcoming? Why would the staff stare at guests up & down and just stand there waiting for the guest to say what they would like? They don't greet, they don't explain the menu, they don't answer questions, they just stand there looking at you awkwardly. I think the only reason this place gets business is because all the other coffee houses are so packed but here you can get a table. I would visit and pay over and over again to receive the best customer service in a welcoming environment rather than come to this cold and consistently pathetic customer service place that leaves you feeling weird and unwelcome. Poor, very poor service every visit no matter how many times I try to give this place a chance to redeem themselves. Hands down the worst coffee house in the region. read more

Another first for me! I wanted to grab a chai latte from somewhere new, and I decided to try this place since I was in the area. When you first pull up to it, it has a welcoming modern ambiance to it, especially with the location being in a newer shopping area. There were a lot of people mingling and working on their laptops here, so I am assuming this is a hub for a lot of residents. Ordering was straightforward and the cashier was helpful with answering any questions I had. I tried their iced chai latte with oat milk and their bacon & cheddar breakfast sandwich. The chai tasted a lot less sweet than other chai drinks I've had, which I thought was a nice change from what I have gotten before. The breakfast sandwich was surprising with how flavorful and filling it was, too! The only thing I would slightly complain about is that it took a few minutes after getting my sandwich for the barista to ask me if I was waiting for my drink while the other staff members were walking around doing nothing. Nonetheless, I think it is a nice comfy place to get a coffee and work at. If you're in the Ripon area, I would give this place a try. read more

Yay! You now have 1000 likes on Facebook! I love this place so much! We went for the first time 2 weeks ago and we've been several times since. We even went twice one day. I have got a few family members to go their too. We bought their homemade shortbread cookies as Mother's day gifts. I'm obsessed! I love the atmosphere at Austin's even though we've only been through the drive thru (because of covid19). It has a small town feel. It's like its straight out a Hallmark movie. They have a rewards program, which is a huge bonus for us. It is a stamp card that gets you a free drink on your 10th drink purchase. We are hoping they come out with a loyalty card for food purchases. I love love love their lavender products. I hope they keep them year round! All of their syrups are homemade but so far I've only had the lavender. My favorite thing to order is the lavender lemon shortbread cookie and the lavender steamed milk. That comes out to only $5 total. They're so much better than Starbucks. The only downside is the sandwiches are expensive ($9, I believe). But they're made with high quality ingredients such as premium bacon, homemade bread, and their own herb lemon mayo. I honestly want one right now. They are delicious! They are about the size of a hamburger. They do not come with any sides. I wish they came with a pickle and a side of potato salad or a green salad for that price. The shortbread cookies are amazing. They come in 3 flavors, Lavender lemon, chocolate turtle, and pistachio. I have bought all 3 but I have only personally tried the lavender and the pistachio. The lavender is amazing and they are so pretty with real lavender flowers sprinkled on top. Every time we go we buy at least 2. I love pistachios and anything pistachio flavored but the pistachio flavor didn't really come through for me, I think because it's natural (no artificial pistachio flavor). It's definitely not a bad cookie though. The crushed pistachios on top make it so pretty! The turtle shortbread cookie looks really good as well. It has chocolate frosting topped with pecans and caramel drizzle. The cookies are a must have for an affordable price of $2.50. Because they are so pretty I really hope they come out with gift sets with 3 cookies in little gift boxes so we can give them as gifts. It would also be cool to have a discount on buying multiple, like 6 for $12. Austin's Coffee Crafters is a hidden gem in Ripon! I recommend this place to everyone. NOTE: You must ask for their loyalty stamp card. We didnt know about it on our first 2 visits. We asked them on our 3rd visit (because I saw a post on Instagram about it) and they gave us a stamp for that visit but when we told them about our previous 2 visits (we had 3 drinks on those visits), she hesitantly gave us 1 stamp (we should have gotten 3). Obviously we aren't holding it against them, but it sucks we were shorted 2 stamps. We would have had all of our stamps if we had been told about the loyalty card on our first visit. When my family went they weren't told about the loyalty card either so they should have got 3 stamps as well. If they fix this for us, I will edit the review to show that. read more

My mother and I stopped for a coffee break while out running errands, and I was not let down! The staff is very friendly, holding the door open for us and everyone wearing their masks! The seating inside is blocked (good on them!), but the seating outside is open. Reminder: Take out is still the best option though during the pandemic if you're eating out. I ordered the Matcha Lemonade and it was surprisingly delicious! I love matcha and most of the time am kinda let down when it comes to the Central Valley (sorry guys!) but this was really good! Rich green and definitely has the earth taste I love in matcha My mother said her ice coffee was very good! She got almond milk in her's and says it had good caffeine, which is a huge plus for her. The cutest little school-themed coffee shop ever! I love everything about this place. The coffee is top quality and the food is delicious! I'm so not a vegetarian, but their Farmer's Vegetarian sandwich is my favorite. Be sure to ask about their seasonal items too - they have some lavender menu items for Spring right now. The baristas here are amazing. They always have positive attitudes and high energy. They also keep the place super clean, including their bar/workstations - I love to see it! I really enjoy coming here to work on days that I don't go into the office. There is plenty of seating at their spacious wooden tables as well as the bar area. I appreciate that almost every seat has access to a power outlet and there is free high-speed wi-fi. It never gets super noisy in here so it's really the perfect place to focus! read more

We were so excited to try a new place here in Ripon! We walked to the coffee shop since we live so close. All I have to say is we came and we tried. It was not memorable... I know it's a "coffee shop" but There are 4 options for espresso drinks... so I'm like ok no problem I'll get ice coffee, asked for coconut milk, they don't carry it only almond milk and oat milk (didn't know that was a thing) no problem had almond milk, asked for hazelnut syrup (thought that was a standard or common flavor) nope it is not... they have 2... vanilla and Carmel.... I know this is a personal opinion but those taste the same, just one a little sweeter. No seasonal inspiration drinks. We tried the bagel breakfast sandwich (9.00 each by the way) and it was a basic breakfast sandwich.... not worth 9.00 each the breakfast sandwich from Starbucks is better. (Of course my opinion) for 9.00 i expect a more gourmet cheese other than a slice of american... The blueberry scone was good, I would minus the frosting on top. The fruit already makes it sweet. Adding frosting makes the scone to sweet and more of a cake. All and all, we tried it. It's to expensive to eat for a family. Our total for 2 kids chocolate milk, ice coffee, a scone and 2 breakfast sandwich's was almost 40.00. (We could have went to a breakfast restaurant for that price) read more

I got the first coffee on their list, and I forgot the name, but it has a homemade hazelnut cream in it in addition to milk. I asked for almond, and the drink was amazing! Definitely pick this one if you like sweet coffee. I have been to so many coffee houses within this area all the way to the bay and I will have to say that Austin's is officially my new favorite. First time coming to Austin's, heard about it from the grapevine. I live in the Modesto area, so just wanted to clarify for all the Modesto people that the drive wasn't bad. The drive was worth it! Austin's is pretty easy to find, relatively right off the highway. My favorite part is they have a drive-through. Not all coffee shops have drive-throughs. I ordered a small Ripon Fog and their sausage soup. The tea was great if you're a tea drinker. If not, I recommend the Troublemaker, that's what my sister got. Lastly, my second favorite part were the croutons for the soup. Delicious, crunchy, extra zing for the already flavorful soup, the croutons were great. read more

My 2 yr. old said "yucky"when I gave him his drink & my 5 yr. old refused to drink her Trouble Maker. I wouldn't mind spending the $ if my kids loved the food. Unfortunately this wasn't the case. Super cute cafe! Clean, modern industrial feel yet welcoming and cozy. Loved the lavender lemonade, vanilla latte, bagel, yogurt and brookie. Stopped by with my son after school and he enjoyed playing with the dollhouse, blocks and other toys they have available for the kiddos. Was quiet enough for me to do some reading while he played. If you're looking for a place to study or get some work done there's pretty limited seating and it can be very loud inside.
