While preparing for an early morning fishing trip I realized that one of the batteries in the bank had died. I went ahead and ordered the battery from a local auto parts store only to arrive there and find that they had ordered the wrong one. Feeling rather desperate as everything was closing I called West Marine and spoke to Will. Not only did they have the battery I needed in stock, they kept the store open an extra 30-minutes in order for me to be able to make it over in traffic and purchase a battery, saving my fishing trip. If nothing else that alone deserves five stars in my book. Be warned that the shopping center where this west marine is located is pretty sketch. But the store itself is clean very well organized and well stocked. From electronics to fishing gear to clothing, it's all there. Overall could not be more pleased with my experience today than I am.

The main pin on the trim unit holding the entire engine on came out while I was trailering my boat a few weeks later.... Turns out there was never a lock clip in there and the pin holding the entire engine on was just sitting in there loose and not locked in.... He claimed he never touched it which could be true, but he still sold me this used piece of shit that FELL OFF MY BOAT. Thank god it happend on land and I was going slow. If it happend on the water me and my family could all be dead.... Terrible, shady, DANGEROUS business, this guy should be nowhere near outboards or anything mechanical what so ever.
