The food here is outstanding. This is somewhere you'll want to visit when you fancy spending a little more (3 courses from their a la carte costs $88) for food you'll remember. Sadly, good food is where this restaurant stops being memorable. The service here is poor. We arrived to a half-empty restaurant but had to remind staff we were waiting on several occasions. Once we did, we saw the bottle of wine we ordered sitting at the side of the bar for at least 10 minutes before we alerted someone to the fact it was ours. When we ordered a second bottle (there was a group of us, ok?) the server walked off with the first bottle that wasn't finished! So, a potentially amazing restaurant let down by sub-standard service. Ultimately a bit disappointing.

There, you have your warning. NOW... if we didn't pay and the experience deteriorated and the end of the cantilever bridge snapped off for example... you get the point. I completely understand other Yelpers and my partners view of getting this experience for free in the National Park but you can only get it from the ground. This is that plus being in the treetops. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I saw a wallaby and a really pretty blue dragonfly. The paths are maintained to a very high standard. There are information points along the walk about trees and wildlife. The cantilever bridge, with the green scenery beyond looks like the approach to a Jurassic Park viewing platform. If you stand still at the end of it you can see and feel it gently swaying. Not for those with a fear of heights but worth a look if visiting the region.

This is another one of those parks that you find throughout Australia that has a memorial for those who died in foreign wars. The park is quite nice, though I probably wouldn't call it peaceful considering that it does happen to be located in the heart of Burleigh Heads.
