This was for an older rocking chair and ottoman that needed some minor repairs, paint and cushions repolstered. I planned on repairing and painting myself. So just the upholstery was needed. Other companies were quoting around $1000 for paint and repair, no mention of the upholstery. Another was $800 site unseen. Really? Ben quoted less than 1/2 after looking at the cushions and measuring them, he came with a bazillion fabric samples ready to go! He was very nice and answered all of my questions. Yes, this is a smaller job, but I didn't feel any less important. All told, took about 3 weeks and that was with a glitch with the fabric! He seemed to be in a hurry, rushed through the consultation and made me feel pressured into making a selection. David was rapid fire in the way he presented the fabric samples making it a very frustrating experience. He seemed to think I didn't like anything he was showing me, and said so, but really I was just confused, he was was not giving me time to look at a sample before he assumed my feelings on it and quickly pull out another sample. I'm not very demanding, I worked public service for most of my life and want to be kind to others working in customer service, but the customer service I got from David was just very weird, upsetting and stressful.

Joan knows the product line thoroughly and walked me through the pluses and minuses of of the large electric blinds I wanted to install. She's not just a sales person, Joan is really there to ensure you get exactly what you want, in the color and fabric that will really add to your rooms interior design. The pricing was quickly calculated onsite, and at this point you'll need to put down 50% of the final price to initiate the rest of the process. I was given an appointment time for the installer to come out and do final measurements, and a pretty firm back end for when I'd have my shades. My installer was Alex. He showed up exactly on time to do the measurements, and took his time to thoroughly measure and understand all the challenges of getting my custom size blinds right. Almost to the day promised, I was notified my blinds were done and had been shipped for installation. Initially I was put off that the final 50% was now due. I hate paying for stuff I haven't received yet, but Joan ensured me that Stoneside would do whatever needed to be done to make sure I was satisfied. My fears were unfounded. On the day promised, Alex showed up with my new electric custom blinds and spent about 5 hours meticulously installing them, asking me after each blind was installed whether I was happy with the way it looked. At the end, he helped me program the remote,e exactly the way I wanted it. He cleaned up everything and even moved all the furniture back for me.
