This place was a complete nightmare. I brought my car in to get my passenger window fixed after it was busted out, and somehow they managed to create even more problems. After the repair, my passenger door no longer opened from the inside, my speaker started crackling, and eventually the window stopped working completely. For almost a month I kept getting told to come back because parts weren't ready or they "didn't know what was wrong." In the end, they removed the window, covered it with plastic, couldn't fix the speaker, wasted a huge amount of my time, and left me with more damage than I came in with. To make matters worse, it rained for the entire next week and I had no window. Very disappointing experience, poor communication, and terrible workmanship. Bottom line: 1. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the recent service I received at your establishment in Durham, NC (1600 S Miami Blvd Durham, NC 27703) and to seek a resolution. 2. In addition to poor technical service, the AutoGlassNow employees displayed unhelpful and unprofessional customer service. I am reporting this experience to the Better Business Bureau, Google, Yelp, Facebook, and AutoGlassNow corporate. 8/10/25 I contacted your company and scheduled a windshield replacement for my 2018 Subaru Outback, providing the VIN number as requested. I received a follow-up call to schedule service. 8/11/25 The initial appointment did not go well. For reference, I was charged $408.80. After the replacement appointment in the morning, it rained in the afternoon. There was a significant amount of water leaking into the car, resulting in a puddle on the driver side floor mat. See photos (video documentation can be provided upon request). This vehicle has zero history of water leakage. It is also worth noting that 1. I was told on 8/10 that I could have mobile service provided and 2. That the replacement windshield was already in stock. On 8/11, I received a phone call stating that mobile service was not available (needed to bring the car into the shop) and that the tech needed to go get the replacement part... 8/12/25 I revisited AutoGlassNow and explained the issue with water leaking. The technician and the employees at the front desk came to inspect the car, testing it by spraying it within a hand-pumped water hose. Despite my lack of knowledge on the topic, he made it seem that the repair was okay. 8/13/25 It rained again, and once again water was pouring into the car -- it followed a similar pattern to 8/11 on the driver side, but also a small amount showed on the passenger side floor mat as well this time. See photos. 8/18/25 In an effort to pinpoint the cause of the leaking, I consulted Dept. of Interiors (https://www.deptofinteriorsnc.com/), a local Auto Water Damage specialist. This specialist suggested a test to understand if the water leakage was, in fact, related to the windshield. This involved observing during a rainstorm or using another source of water (like a garden hose, carwash, etc.) to create adequate volume and pressure to mimic a rainstorm. During the test, the key was to slide a piece of paper between the dashboard and the interior of the windshield -- if the piece of paper was wet, the windshield was the cause of the issue. The "before" of this test yielded a completely dry piece of paper, and the "after" yielded multiple wet pieces of paper. See photos. Immediately after conducting this test, I took the car back to AutoGlassNow to share what I had learned. The employees at AutoGlassNow were not interested in engaging on the issue -- they referenced the test on 8/12 as evidence that nothing was wrong, despite my photos and testimony otherwise. They were unwilling to re-inspect the car. They did not acknowledge the wet pieces of paper I was showing them. They suggested that it was some other issue, such as the cowl panels or door molding. My contact at Dept. of Interiors offered to speak with the AutoGlassNow employees on the phone, which they refused. They kept asking for video evidence from a different third-party body shop or dealership, and would not accept my physical or photo evidence. In the end, the employees became hostile and aggressive toward me -- an extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable situation. 8/20/25 I kindly request a refund for the inconvenience and stress caused by this ordeal. I trust you will address this matter promptly and uphold the standards of professionalism and quality service that your company aims to provide. It took four months to get my ADAS recalibration fixed. After my windshield was replaced, I was told that the weather was cloudy and they couldn't recalibrate the safety features. I kept going back, only to be given more excuses. The manager, Robert, claimed that my insurance wouldn't pay for OEM glass and that recalibration wasn't possible. This turned out to be a lie. I contacted the insurance company, and they told me they never received the request for OEM glass. Eventually, Robert ordered the OEM glass, but it took another month to arrive. For two weeks, I called the shop every day, but each time, I was told that another manager, CJ, was busy. It was impossible to get through to him. Finally, I did manage to reach CJ, and he told me to go to the Raleigh location. At the Raleigh location, Lori took charge and discovered that the ADAS camera had been broken during the initial replacement. This shop and its management were clearly neglectful, and they almost tried to sell me another windshield without identifying the actual problem. I've wasted so much time and energy with this issue, and I'm extremely frustrated. It seems like Robert and CJ were never available, despite sitting at their desks, playing on their phones. I don't work like that, and I expect better respect for my time. Both managers are useless! read more

(2021 Honda Passport) I had a crack in my windshield from one of those annoying trucks on the highway. My insurance company was taking FOREVER, & after calling around for quotes, this place had the best pricing. It took a couple of hours for my windshield to be replaced (which was expected & also my windshield had to be recalibrated), but it wasn't bad at all. I had to schedule an appointment & the process wasn't too bad. Windshield looked great after & I haven't had any problems. They gave me the information I needed in case I did & gave me after care instructions. I'd definitely recommend them! read more

Very disappointed. Been getting windshield's here for years. Went by today to drop off and was told there is a 30-minute grace period for the appointment. It was literally 2 minutes past that time. when I mentioned we were 2 min late she said, "actually you are 32 minutes late, you will have to reschedule." I said we will take it somewhere else then, her reply was "ok" with no care of service at all, and the shop was empty and no other vehicles there. Keep in mind, we rescheduled last minute on our original appointment last week for them as they need two techs to do the job, and we did. Took my older and very reliable SUV back in June after I got a rock from a dump truck and even if they were not responsible (they are) my deductible is higher than the 170 I paid here. Overall they did a good job, a bit slow because I had to wait for the actual windshield to arrive, but I had the time to wait and I understand why they don't have a huge inventory. My only quibble is that I don't know what they spray on because I have a hard time cleaning it on the inside and on the outside, I will keep using alcohol to avoid seeing the streaks or cloudiness. Update: Tom from AGN home office called me after speaking with MJ. He said she had gotten misinformation, and offered to repair the leak. He got me scheduled on the day of my choosing at the Durham location, and the repair went smoothly. MJ kept me updated during the process the day of the repair. The repair took quite a long time, but that's because they appear to have done it right this time. If my second experience with the company is typical now that they've changed hands, I'd have no reservations recommending them to others. read more

Absolutely the worst! Very unprofessional from start to finish. From the upkeep of the inside to the extreme unprofessionalism of the " Front desk staff", it's literally not worth the stress of giving them your time. The desk is run by two ill equipped women Who don't seem to care much about their jobs. Got the back glass on my car replaced after a mysterious hole happened. They were able to do it the next day for $175 cheaper than Safelite so I was pumped. They fixed the glass and it looked fine. Drove home and heard some rattling. Looked in the trunk and they didn't completely clean the broken glass. But whatever, I saved money so I can pay $1 and vacuum it. The next morning I go to my car and notice the spoiler is lifted and bent. Naturally I call to see if they could fix it. I go that afternoon to get it fixed. They do. I drive off to get gas across the street. I further inspect the car to notice some black stuff on the spoiler light. I pull at it and realize the light was broken and sealed with some kind black putty. I know they did it as the screws for spoiler are there. Rather than saying anything they do a horrible job of fixing the light. So now I need to get it replaced. At this point I'm frustrated because the least you can do is tell me you accidently broke the light. Like how hard is that. The light really can't be that damn much to replace and since I saved so much I might have been cool with it. Now im just waiting on the next rain to see if the glass was even installed properly. This place is great if you're looking to save money. Just remember you get what you paid for plus other damages. read more

Joe was not only extremely flexible with me coming in to get the windshield replaced but the prices were unbeatable. He also already had the windshield in stock which was awesome. The installation took less than 45 minutes. Super happy. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO AUTO GLASS NOW of Durham, NC!!!! I scheduled an appointment with Auto Glass Now to install the right passenger quarter glass window that I purchased from a Nissan dealership. David, of Auto Glass Now, agreed to install the glass. I arrived to my appointment and had the glass installed. Upon receiving the vehicle back, I noticed the paint finish was removed from the car, and the interior panel of the vehicle was not reinstalled properly. My car paint finish and interior panel were in excellent condition prior to my visit. After services were rendered, the technician did not mention that he damaged the paint finish and improperly reinstalled the interior panel. Upon my inspection of the vehicle, I immediately informed the business, David, of the issue. If I had not inspected my car, the company/technician would not have said anything about the damage! Nonetheless, David promptly told me that he was not responsible for the damage to my vehicle, which is grossly incorrect! DO NOT take your vehicle to Auto Glass Now of Durham. Technicians are inexperienced, unprofessional, reckless, and unethical! This week, I have had two very poor experiences with Auto Glass Now in Durham. First, I scheduled mobile service (obviously they had my address) but I received a call the day of the appointment which indicated they did not service my area. So, OK, I agreed to schedule service in their shop in Durham. I scheduled the appointment and provided the VIN for my vehicle and they confirmed that they could get the windshield. I waited an hour at the shop only to find out they could NOT get the windshield. What gives? Plus the receptionist was extremely rude. Stay away! read more

We are a local car dealership. We do business and brought numerous vehicles to Auto Glass Now since 2012. Our last experience was a huge disappointment . Their so-call subcontractor that work in there name Jeremy did the glass replacement job of a Toyota Sienna ( btw he did a great job, I'm not going lie). He lost the keys and the remote that was attached to it, and he didn't mention it until we got to the shop to pick up our vehicle which is 25 minutes away. He said he accidentally gave our key to another customer and promised to call us when he gets the key back, so we wait and wait.......by the third day they still have no idea where the key, I went ahead called locksmith to cut keys and program new remote which cost me $400. Showed Jeremy the receipt and he politely agreed to pay us back soon he received check. Oh man... trusting him was a huge mistake I made, he's been playing dumb and gave me run around for the next 2 weeks. I guess we will never going to get our $400 back. I really can't do anything but to write review to share my experience and will not take anymore vehicle to this Irresponsible company. I will remove this post if this matter resolved. read more

I called Auto Glass Now for a quote and possibly an appointment for my Honda. The woman who answered the phone was quite friendly and personable. I couldn't get in as soon as I'd like but not really a big deal. We scheduled an appointment for the beginning of the following week. The technician showed up in the mid afternoon at my employer to do the work. He was very professional and friendly in greeting me. He began the work on the windshield replacement and I told him I would check back in 30 minutes. I checked back and he was almost done and finished while I waited. He gave me the invoice for the repair and told me to call their office to make payment over the phone. When I called I gave the woman my email address and asked for a receipt to be emailed to me. I also asked about warranty information and she said it was covered for as long as I own the vehicle. Price for my 2 door Honda was $155 + tax. The invoice the technician gave me had no verbiage regarding warranty or being covered for ownership of the vehicle. I had hoped the receipt I was going to receive in email was going to have that information. I never received the promised email. The work looked great from the outside of the vehicle but after a day or two I did notice some debris left on the dash of my vehicle. Not a big deal but would have been nice to see that taken care of. I am giving them 3 stars for these 2 small demerits. Had these 2 issues not occurred I would have given them a 5 star review. They certainly are cheaper than Safe Lite - by about $80. My car has high miles and is older but reliable - quality of glass - might not be a big concern for me at this point. If you want true OEM glass - you may need to seek other options. "OEM equivalent" is not the same but again that's a judgement call for the consumer to make. read more

Great price for a truck window repair. They were able to work me in when I called in the morning to have my window repaired by that afternoon. A small amount of glass left over deep in the door, but not enough to damage the car just rattles when closing. Overall a great window repair service for car door windows! read more

Told me 30-45 minutes tops on appointment, so I set one up. I get there, they take the windshield off then realize they had a different year vehicle than the one I gave them. So I can't leave and come back, I'm stuck waiting. They go pick up a new one from the warehouse and to be honest it was quick, but then they don't discount the price for their mistake for underestimating the time by over an hour. The middle-age overweight customer service woman at this location on 70 in Durham was rude! Last week I arrived a little early for my 12:30 appointment. 25 min passed the appointment time. My car was still sitting outside. N Their installers were chatting while slowly working on the other cars. Yes, a half of his focus was on chatting. During the time one of them went out for lunch. When I asked why they haven't started on my car -there was one more bay open-, the woman who just came back from lunch said "It's because the two cars before yours are not finished." I thought "Obviously so!" "If you are running late, tell your customer that, when s/he first arrives. " She goes "Everyone waits here!" like they are entitled to make any of their customers wait as long as they want and that is perfectly okay. "If I had to wait like a walk-in, why the heck did I make an appointment and come on time??" She says "Do you want your key back? " I said "Yes", and her response was out-loud "GREAT! " Wow...., jaw dropping. What kind of customer service is this?? I didn't want to have anything to do with these people. Right away I called a few other places and made an appointment with Durham Glass. The lady on the phone said they'll start working on my car right at the appointment time. And they DID! Super! Also their price was lower than what Auto Glass Now quoted. They claim their prices are the lowest! but not true! I'm sure they can proudly say their service is the worst though! Waste of time, terribly managed and unprofessional. This was just a failed business interaction on all counts. I should have known from the beginning when they would never return phone calls as promised. After 2 weeks of phone calls and emails in search of a part (they never called me back even once during that time), we got an appointment scheduled to replace my windshield. I took off work on the day of the appointment to meet them at my home. Based on their previous poor communication, I decided to call them around midday just to make sure I was still on the schedule. After waiting on hold (you will always be put on hold) the manager David tells me that his techs did not feel comfortable installing my windshield. He could not explain why, only that they were not coming to do the install and he could offer me no other solution. If you want to cancel an appointment, that's fine. But how about communicating with your customers instead of wasting their time and money? They weren't even going to notify me. I was hoping to support a local business, but their largest national competitor will be here in the morning to do the install. Guess what? They've already called me to confirm the appointment. At this rate, I could have had a windshield installed everyday instead of trying to get them to call me back for 2 weeks and then not show up to the appointment. read more

One of the side windows of my car was broken. My insurance company connected me to Safelite, who quoted me $370 for the replacement. A quick Google search and Auto Glass Now was the first result. I called and was quote $170 for the replacement. It sounded too good to be true, but I went ahead and made an appointment for that same day. I showed up a half hour early and they were able to take my car in right away. Exactly 60 minutes later, window was flawlessly replaced and I paid $170 for it. I called and made an appointment and they had my windshield replaced in no time. The workers provided amazing customer service.
