I wish I could post negative stars! I will be blasting this dealership all over town and social media. I just moved to GI about 2 weeks ago and have not had much experience in this town. Keeping in mind that I am a black female in my early 30's, here is my experience in this atrocious place. I have been searching for a dodge challenger a little older but low miles. I have wanted an RT but it had to be a 6 speed manual. So while trying to find my way around town I just so happened to drive past this place and saw a challenger sitting on their lot. I decided to pull in and just take a glance. Turns out they had exactly what I was looking for. There was a lady that I spoke to that was very nice and let me start the car and all that. I asked her if I could drive it and she said I would have to wait until her husband came back from running errands. I told her I would come back. I went to picked up my children from school and drop them off at home. I came back so I could drive the car and when I walked in there was a older man (owner) that didn't greet me or anything. He walked out of his office and said, "so you're the one that wants to pay for the challenger". I told him I would just like to drive it. He proceeded to tell me that I would have to do a credit application and prove that I could afford to pay for it. I pointed out the fact that he is only asking $29K for the car and I clearly can afford it because I pulled in in a new Lincoln Navigator Black Label L (over $110K car) (We also make more than double the average household). He said that doesn't matter and he makes everyone do an application first. I told him I would not let him hard pull my credit before I even drove the car and decided if I for sure wanted to pull the trigger on it. He proceeded to very rudely ask how I planned on paying for it. I told him I planned on putting $10K down and then financing the rest. He stood there looking me up and down and then said "fine, I'll take your driver's license then". At this point I was so disgusted I said no thanks and walked out. I called my husband as I left because I was furious in the way I was treated. My husband (driving his work truck) decided he would test a theory and stop down there. (He is white) He walked in and looked at the same car I was... Asked the owner (same guy) if he could drive it and he said "yup! Just need a copy of your driver's license". (No application meeded!) My husband handed it over to him so he could see the state matched the plates on my car and then told him he'd come back in about 30 minutes. As my husband walked out and headed to his truck the owner followed him outside knowing that I was his wife. He even said that to my husband. My husband proceeded to tell him that he doesn't appreciate the way I was treated or the way he does business. The despicable man continued to argue that he can run his business anyway he sees fit. Needless to say we will not be back here and we will make sure everyone we do know and meet in this town will know about this business and the way that man chooses to run it. He lost out on a sale. Turns out my husband works with a few people that also know that stated he is not a good person. I would definitely rethink doing any type of business here. Go somewhere else where you will ACTUALLY be respected like the human being you are. read more
