If I could give this place a ZERO, I would. I moved to Florida in April 2017 and was told by a friend I needed to get my car registration switched over ASAP. I found this place on the internet and went in. Should have known something was sketchy because of where it's located and the ambiance of the place (dull, dark, small, funny smells). I was charged $700 for what? I asked why it cost so much to get license plates/tags... I was given some story about the many different fees. So I paid $700, half on my CC but she requested half in cash (should have been a red flag there). Nevertheless, I gave her the money and from that day up til 7/28/2017 I battled with them through visits, phone calls, legal threats, reports to BBB, reports to Florida DMV, reports to FDOT and many other entities. I could NEVER get anyone on the call and when I did the lady would say "We'll call you back shortly." A different person would answer the phone each time it appears (unless these scam artists were just switching their voice tones to be even more deceptive). Anyhow, when I disputed half the charge from my credit card, that's when the facility wanted to call and work with me. Why the HECK does it take that long (3 months) to get my license plates, tags etc... and I still don't see why this cost $700 ... ridiculous!!!! I wouldn't typically think of reviewing a service like Auto Tags and Title Bureau on Yelp but I want to spread the word across every avenue possible. This place is a scam. Bought a car through a private dealer on a Saturday and this place was the closest one open that could execute this for us immediately. They charge more than DMV's but figured it was a fair convince charge since it eliminated our need to take off work on Monday. They work with the state to file your paper work but are not in sync about the process. Additionally, they change their offerings and process constantly. For example, we asked about temporary plates for while we waited, they stated it wasn't possible to have these from the sale of a private dealer. Than we were asked if we would be interested in temp plates for an up charge of $50. Please, take the hour out of your day on a weekday and go to the DMV. read more

I just received an email from someone thinking that I was related to or somehow involved in this business. I am not. I went to this location to take care of something for my father-in-law who lived in Pennsylvania. He took care of the financial aspect of the transaction. I did not have personal business to do at this location just doing a favor for my father-in-law I rode my bicycle there ,it was extra hot that day, she did bring me a bottle of water I did think that was very nice. The woman who owns the place ( who refuses to even tell me her name ) charged my pregnant wife $600 for tag title and registration. Personally Ive never paid more than $350 or heard of anyone else who has. Since it was paid cash she tried to pretend she doesnt know us or know what Im talking about and keep our money. I found the receipt and suddenly they are like "oooh, now i remember you". Keep in mind my wife is 7 months pregnant. We paid September 9, 2013. ... she didnt even give my wife a temp tag or anything.... 1 month and 1 day go by with nothing but her "bs"-ing saying she will call us back blah blah blah. all BS. I show up october 10, 2013 saying we want a refund. She leaves the room and pays for a title transfer and comes back with the receipt for it saying she cant refund a transaction that is already in progress. The paper she handed me was time stamped showing she paid 2 minutes prior to handing it to me. She claimed she would take $600 - price of title and refund it. I keep asking her how much does a title transfer cost and she refuses to answer. Luckily for me both my parents are in law enforcement and as soon as the police show up --- October 19th ----- I suddenly have my paperwork done, what a coincidence. I have full confidence if my dad wasn't a police sargeant we would never have gotten a cent back. And when I tried to renew my tags 2 Years later it's occurred that my title wasn't transferred!!!! She did some temporary dealer exemptions registration for two years and now I need to pay again for the proper title transfer !!! So I come back to this place to made this person do the proper work what she supposed to do 2 Years ago ! And she tells me that the title can not be transfer from another state while it is on a finance !!! What's the absurd!!!! If I could give this place a negative 10 I would! The one person who gave this tag and title a high amount of stars has to be a relative of the owner Debbie I think is her name. They are outright thieves. I have no idea how the city of Hollywood allows this place to even stay open. I asked them what my cost for a tag and title on a vehicle was. I was quoted a price of 300.00. I paid reluctantly because I at that time thought it was excessive but asked her what her charge was for picking up the plate. Debbie told me the price was 33.00 the rest went for the cost of registration and plates.I needed the plates and tag and reluctantly paid these thieves! When I got home the more I thought about it the more I thought this price was excessive. I called motor vehicles and asked what was the charge for picking up registration and plates for a motor cycle. I was quoted a price of 33.00!!!! That is 267.00 dollars less then I was quoted for my entire cost of plates and registration!! I immediately went back to this tag and title and told Debbie I wanted my money back, She said the money was in the safe and to come back the following day to get a refund. I did and all I got was the plate and registration! I wanted to flip her desk as I was so furious! Don't go to this place they will steal from you and the city of Hollywood will tell you it's a civil matter they cannot do anything about it! I'm thinking they have a relative in office there in Hollywood. If you read all the other reviews except one who gives this thief a high score (must be a relative!) Completely horrible, She charged me $1000 for a POA, and a copy of a title. after I did it, it took a long time, (and nothing was being processed, as I called Florida DMV) so I made a decision to fight the charge made on my credit card. STAY AWAY FROM THIS THIEF AND A LIER. 3/23/2016 stopped at this office to get a new title issued for our new kit car that was inspected by Florida title bureau and a VIN number was issued for it. We gave Debbie / owner the envelop given to us by the title bureau and paid her $658 as she requested for the title. We were told it would take 7-10 business days for the title to arrive. She also explained to us the price was simply based on the amount of the car cost to build. Today April 15, after 18 business days since the transaction date, we have not received the title, and based on the Florida title web site (https://services.flhsmv.gov/MVCheckWeb/ResultView.aspx), there is no title issued. We contacted Debbie / owner, only to be told there was a delay for the inspection, not sure what inspection she was talking about, the car was inspected by the state title bureau. Further more did not explain as to why the excessive charges as we were told by another tag agency, this transaction should have not cost more that $490.00 including her fees. as of today, after my wife and I been disrespected by this women over the phone, being over charged for the title, still have no title. I ask everyone to join me in contacting the Florida attorney general's office, complete the form (http://myfloridalegal.com/contact.nsf/contact?Open&Section=Citizen_Services) on line as I did, stating your complaint, then submit the form. These simple steps will put this thief out of business and prevent further victimization of other citizens. Since coming to the Hollywood facility for years, most if not all the employees are cheerful, pleasant, courteous and friendly. Unfortunately, my encounter with "Heaven" the pregnant staff at the counter was the complete opposite. She is rude, demeaning, wouldn't or couldn't walk as she pushed herself in a chair around the behind counter area, called me to the counter and then told me to wait while she finished other paper work for a customer that was not in line. "Heaven" has a nasty attitude and is too involved personally in her own issues and personality problems to be working directly with customers. After waiting for over an hour, she dismissed my transaction for paperwork that did NOT need to be present. I'd suggest she get much more training, lose the nasty attitude and perhaps go ahead and go on materinity leave and leave the job to those that are qualified and capable of being friendly to your customers.
