Gold Star transmission was a life saver for me. I was new to town and had no clue as to who to get help for me and my vehicle. Which incidentally was a Hyundai Santa Fe. I used the internet and one of the companies listed was G0ld Coast transmission. I called and from the initial contact with service manager Hamilton i felt confident he would be able to help me. Arrangements were made for me to have a tow truck pick my vehicle and myself to transport to his shop. I was informed of the process would take place. When i left i felt i was in good hands. I was contacted the next morning with the diagnostic findings and informed as to the recommended repairs and the cost. I was told how long the repair would take. All questions were answered satisfactorily. I gave them the okay. My car was repaired and delivered to make in a very timely manner. My car was having some serious involving the transmission/clutch. I brought it in one morning and Hamilton was great. He took the car on a test drive and pulled up the computer. Every step of the way he explained to me what he was doing. When it was decided that my clutch needed to be replaced he immediately got on the phone and started pricing all the parts. The clutch was fixed but unfortunately another problem was not resolved. It happened intermittently but every time I brought it back Hamilton was determined to correct the issues. I brought it back twice and was never charged for any work/parts. Eventually the problem was beyond what he could do in his garage so he called his main office and notified them of my impending arrival and the problem. Vinny (owner at Dania Beach location) was just as great. 3 visits and multiple services conducted and I was not charged a dime. I have never experienced customer service to this magnitude. Our beloved 21yr old Explorer, still running great, was leaking oil and transmission fluid. On the Web discovered Gold Coast Trans. (GCT), liked the reviews and decided to go to Davie location. There met Hamilton who diagnosed problems, assured my concerns with promise to resolve them. Found him to be personable, professional and felt he would deliver. Repairs turned out as good as I expected. Explorer felt well, reminded me of when it was new. Did notice a few drops on my garage floor but Hamilton said due to full transmission overflow. GCT is probably a bit more expensive but so far, they have fulfilled in professionalism, customer satisfaction and follow up and if durability can be added to the mix, my wife and I will be even happier (two-year warranty included). This review is to inform the public of this great gem of a business. I have never received such dependability, honesty, and respect from any mechanic, let alone one that specializes in transmissions. I brought my car in because I thought I heard a weird noise coming from a bearing in my transmission. Any business could've easily made upwards of 1000 dollars from my claim, but Hamilton worked diligently for 2 days to find anything wrong with my car, and noted that my car was in excellent shape. The service is friendly, you feel at home, and most importantly, you don't feel deceived. Everything gets explained to you in a way you can understand, questions get answered, and prices are very fair. I ended up asking for a transmission fluid change as preventative maintenance. So I had my truck transmission taken care of by Hamilton at Gold Coast a few years back. Till this time 2019/2020 I have had NO PROBLEMS. However on Sunday I got a rattle and I personally could not locate it. I could to Hamilton a day later about 4pm and he said to bring it in to him. I explained the problem and he said you know what as a client just be he in the next 15 mins and let me look at it. when I got there he meet me with a smile and a hand shake and said I will take care of you. He took the truck put it on the lift, assessed the problem had it fixed and back on the road within 20 mins. I will ONLY use Gold Coast and I will only refer my clients to Gold Coast. Place is great for any kind of vehicle. Brought in a hummer and a lifted F-150 that both were having transmission issues. They were able to get both of the vehicles back up and running within a week. Besides fixing the transmission he was able to find another part that was going bad in my engine and offered to replace it since they already had my engine apart. If he had not told me about this, it would have given me more problems and more money for someone else to take apart the engine to replace it. Super honest showed me the part when I came back to pick up the truck explained what the part was and what was wrong with it. Super trustworthy. Mr. Hamilton is a great guy! I brought my Dodge Ram pick-up to him earlier in July of 2018 with a slipping transmission. He told me not to worry and quoted me a fair price with a promise that it will be out in 3 days. Well what do you know, he kept true to his word and fixed the truck up great. Honestly this has to be the fastest service I have received on a heavy labor job at the mechanics. Mr. Hamilton even took his time to send me some pictures of the transmission getting fixed to make sure I was at ease. Great customer service. Just recently I took my '06 Trailblazer in after 197,000 miles on the transmission and had it rebuilt at Gold Coast Transmissions (Davie). Went to gold coast looking to replace the two CV axels on my 2011 Honda CRV. Luckily I met Hamilton when I entered the front office. Took my car to Gold Coast Transmissions a few weeks ago and I was very impressed, specifically by Hamilton. I have a Mercedes ML 350 crossover that's 7-8 years old and everything is great now. Hamilton helped us tremendously. They give free estimates on all regular auto work but for transmissions when they have to pull them it costs money. That would be applied to if you have the work done there. He was great in working with us the whole transmission had to be rebuilt. The price he gave us was fair and he worked with us and threw in some extra work parts ect. read more
