Gave me incorrect information. It was a completely different experience at the Centerville location as the people that work. There were extremely friendly very fast, very efficient and very accurate with the information on what I needed and got me through the process really quickly and painlessly. Absolute definite five star service

I am writing to share feedback regarding a recent interaction at your facility(CENTERVILLE BMV) My…read moreson was in the process of applying for his Temporary Permit, and we encountered a staff member whose conduct I found to be unprofessional and unhelpful. During the identification verification, we presented his USCIS-approved ID. This is currently in use while his Naturalization Certificate is being processed - a situation that often requires a bit more understanding and patience. When a second form of identification was requested, we offered a recent bank statement. Unfortunately, our attempt to have this document printed is (on their printer as she instructed)at the counter was unsuccessful. The staff member, a young lady with curly hair( her ID was flip-back),then informed us that my son would need to retrieve another address-bearing ID from home. While we fully comprehend and respect the need for proper identification, the manner in which this information was conveyed was notably abrupt and dismissive, creating an unnecessarily stressful atmosphere. Further concerns arose when my son attempted to clarify his preference regarding the organ donor question on his application. His initial query was met with an apparent lack of acknowledgment. When I politely reiterated his question, the staff member responded curtly with, "Let me just finish this!" This interaction, delivered without eye contact, felt very dismissive and demonstrated a clear unwillingness to assist with a simple, yet important, clarification. Adding to our disappointment, when I tried to ask a follow-up question concerning the identification requirements, I was interrupted mid-sentence. This repeated pattern of being cut off and disregarded made effective communication extremely difficult. It is particularly disheartening as this is not an isolated incident; we experienced similar rude and interruptive behavior from the same individual during a previous visit in May. The overall lack of courtesy and professional engagement displayed by this staff member was deeply disappointing. We believe that all individuals undertaking official processes deserve to be treated with respect and patience. I hope this detailed feedback will be utilized to review staff conduct and reinforce the importance of professional customer service, ensuring that future applicants have a more positive and respectful experience.

Okay, I am not a fan of how things are being done but at least I can still get things done…read more I got her right at 8am but missed the first round of customers in the door so I had to stand outside and wait maybe 15 minutes, then inside for another 10 or so after checking in. Still faster than normal in my opinion so heck how can I complain. I would say considering the new way things are being handled the BMV staff here did an amazing job of handling things and deserve a high five, but since that isn't allowed here is a virtual thank you

This is bureaucracy at its finest…read more The Bureau of Motor Vehicles in MIddletown must lie within a no parking zone because those ladies keep it moving! Walked in on a Friday afternoon, made my way through the gauntlet (a silly maze which was by far the biggest ordeal I encountered during this trip to the BMV) and took my place in line behind four other people. Within five (that's right, five!) minutes I was greeted by a cheerful lady who took my documents for tags and invited me to take a seat on the bench lining one wall of the BMV. No less than three minutes later, I was being called to window four where I wrote the check, received my tags and walked out the door. These ladies have a system and it is obviously working. Which leads me to wonder, why is this not a system implemented by all BMVs? Last year at the Mason branch, we stood in line, many moons passed, civilizations were created and destroyed. I had some lady beg me for my spot since she had to pick up her kids after school (of course I gave it to her) and then I stood at the window for about ten minutes while papers were processed, "i"s dotted and "t"s crossed, before I made my escape. At the Middletown branch, I spent ten minutes. There. Line, window, everything. Ten minutes. Thank you, Middletown BMV!

What really impressed me was when I had to go back after it had been shut down for several weeks due to Covid. The lines were long since people haven't been able to get in and they had to adhere to Covid restrictions but they had a system to keep track of everyone and they were rocking it! When I finally did get inside to get my license plates the staff were friendly and did not let the situation bother them Even though I am sure people were less than friendly with them. Hats off to this branch and their people! Special thanks to Shannon for dealing with the crowds!
