What's not to love about drive-in movie theaters?! And them being a dying breed, I'm glad this…read moreone's still around to entertain! They have a digital projector which is nice on the eyes when viewing. They play relatively recent movies too. I've seen a few where the first movie was just released the same week, and the 2nd one within the last month. So you're not going to find ones that you may have already seen or can rent on DVD. Price is $6 a person for adults, and $2 a car. This is where they make their money because with their snack bar prices, there is no need to bring snacks with you! They offer beverages and have a grill for burgers and dogs, and a deep fryer for some of the best french fries I've ever had anywhere. Popcorn is cheap, a medium is $2.50 and will easily feed 2-4 adults. They have a huge candy assortment as well. Pretty much anything you want or are craving, including giant pickles if that's your thing. They have their own radio station to tune into, so even if the weather is crappy, you don't have to worry about having the windows down. There's a nice grassy area up front where kids can run around before hand, or you can put a blanket out and sit on the ground. The restrooms need some work, there's only 2 stalls in the women's and after about 10 flushes the water system needs to wait about 2-3 people before it will be able to flush fully. and there's not a strong stream to the sink, but it's doable. All in all I love this little place and it's worth the visit!

Very good deal for the cost of the show. I would just stick to the hot dogs and popcorn, candy. Its…read moreactually in Maria Stien not St. Henry. Hard to spot from road. Needs a better sign.

And hidden away off Main Street is an equally hidden gem, the Holland Theatre, where I just attended an awesome, "I can't believe they came here to Ohiooooo" concert a few weeks ago. WELL worth the approx. 45 min. drive from Springfield!! One of several historic theaters in the region that are being saved/restored, rather than "paved/put up a parking lot," which seems to happen all too often. Friendly, helpful staff, a great variety of offerings (I was there for an AMAZING Spanish timple/classical guitar concert), plenty of parking, and a large, yet cozy feeling auditorium, what more could you ask for. Sadly, there was just a very small "crowd" for this concert, so rather than spread the 20-25 or so ticket holders all throughout the auditorium, they set up chairs and had us sit right on the stage with the performers. I wish more people had attended, but it was a wonderful, intimate show!! The manager of the theatre, Chris, even joined the show and did an AMAZING acoustic guitar duet with one of the musicians. They've got a great, user-friendly website and plenty of eclectic offerings. Get here early and sample one (or more!) of the surprisingly interesting dining options, or just take a walk through this fun, happening small town!!

There is street parking throughout downtown, but being that it was a Saturday night, it was slim picking! Once we got parked and walked a couple of blocks to the theater, the experience improved greatly. It was such a beautiful theater. We enjoyed the Dutch style and enjoyed looking around before the show began. You can tell the theater has been recently renovated and they are still working on even more improvements. But everything was so beautiful. We had two special treats the night we attended. It was the 92nd birthday of the theater and it was the first time Braebach had played in Ohio on their first American tour! We could not have enjoyed either the venue or the band more! They even shared their cake!

I only have two concerns, and arguably neither one is their fault. One, during one visit, my recliner chair started moving up and I couldn't get it to stop, but who knows if that were an issue with the chair or an issue with me. Two, concession prices are high, but I think that's the case just about everywhere, and what I got was good, so it's not like they're charging high prices for slop. I've had good experiences; I just recommend you have plenty of money handy if you want to buy snacks, and be careful of the recliner seats.

That doesn't count the $23 at the door. A movie with concessions used to be 20 bucks for a decent date. Now it seems that it's working its way to $45. In two years they've cut the total value per dollar paid in half. It would be nice if over the last two years I was able to get a doubling of the money I get paid for each unit of value I deliver. Several workers, one of them that I was very impressed with head pretty good hustle. He had his head in the game, and was moving to make his stuff and everybody else's stuff work. Antonio. Came to see Maverick. Not very busy at all.

The selection of food items is pretty good but the cost of them is ridiculous as well. I went in on a Tuesday evening to catch a movie with my friend and that place was a mess. The lobby area had popcorn all over the ground, there was one worker to check people out for movie tickets and concessions, and once I got into the actual theater for the movie I noticed how run down things have started to look. The chair I sat in was a little ripped up, the cup holder was gross, and the floors were covered in all sorts of food litter. I used to stop in here about 6 times a year, now I limit it to maybe once a year because it's just not great. Go buy the movie when it comes out and watch it at home with your friends. It'd be cheaper and cleaner (depending on who you are).

We don't buy snacks at movie theaters, too expensive as is the case here (but if snacks are your thing, average price for a movie theater). Bathrooms are decently clean for a public bathroom. The seats are comfy, but you do not have your own arm rest. These are not reclining seats. The temperature of the theater is actually pretty decent--I wore a light sweater and was comfy. Overall a decent pick as far as movie theaters go.
