The Towne Square Cinema has three screens and always offers an adult and child friendly film. I've been here many times with friends and family and am always pleased with my visit. Oh! So we gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited as another 20 or so people joined us or sat in their cars waiting. Several of us tried to call the theater and didn't even get a recorded message. Some called headquarters in Texas and of course all they could do was look into the matter. Quite a few of us had driven from other towns and would not be able to return for a showing later in the day. I suggest that when they are going to cancel a showing, they at least leave a message on their main number in Piqua and have someone post a sign on the outer doors so people don't just stand there feeling angry or frustrated because the WANT to see that movie. This was Part 3 of THE CHOSEN.

We decided to get one popcorn and soda to share and the girl pointed out there was a special package price for that. Tickets were reasonably priced, food and drink typical for movie theatres these days. They have two of those futuristic soda machines with a million options. We inquired about the portable close caption device because my husband sometimes has trouble hearing dialogue clearly. She went right back and got one, no charge for this. It fits in the cup holder with a flexible gooseneck holding the little screen. This thing worked great! I realized later my husband didn't whisper "what did he say?" even once in a 2-hour movie! Seats were comfortable. Not the most modern recliners, but roomy, good legroom, with cup holders. The theatre sound was excellent, the screen vivid and brilliant. We were given 3D glasses as it was a 3D presentation and that was really mind blowing I must say. When we exited there were two staff members wishing everyone a good day as they waited for the theatre to empty so they could go right in and clean. Speaking of clean, the bathroom was spotless too. All in all we were very happy with this theatre and I'll be back for sure to see Tom Cruise in a few months.

The lobby area had popcorn all over the ground, there was one worker to check people out for movie tickets and concessions, and once I got into the actual theater for the movie I noticed how run down things have started to look. The chair I sat in was a little ripped up, the cup holder was gross, and the floors were covered in all sorts of food litter. I used to stop in here about 6 times a year, now I limit it to maybe once a year because it's just not great. Go buy the movie when it comes out and watch it at home with your friends. It'd be cheaper and cleaner (depending on who you are).
