Today I happened to be in the neighborhood and decided to stop by. I walked the lot and found two of the three vehicles I was interested in. I went into the showroom and asked for help. To my surprise I was told that two of the trucks were awaiting parts for a safety recall and the third one was just sold. I did stay to begin the write up of a new truck. When I left I realized that this situation could have been viewed as a Bait and Switch situation. I feel this way because I was never told up front that the vehicles were never available. Especially with the two that were not available because of recall issues which were known well before my inquires. There was no indication on the web site that these vehicles were not available. I then brought the car to Lenny at Duke of Oil, in New City, who has been serving the Clarkstown community for God knows how long and guess what. Instead, Scott misdiagnosed the issue and performed an unnecessary repair that ultimately caused additional damage to my car. Within 24 hours of leaving the service, all of the oil had leaked out due to an incorrectly installed part. As a result, I had to take my car to another mechanic, who was able to properly diagnose and fix the problem--something Scott was unable to do. When I contacted Scott to explain the situation and request a refund, he initially refused. After pressing the issue, he said he would "get back to me," but never did. I made multiple attempts to reach him via phone and text, all of which were ignored. I have still not received a refund and am now pursuing further action to address the damages caused.
