They paid the max and delivered friendly service as they did so. Having appraised my father-in-law's car at many dealerships and pre-owned companies, the best deal on the table was $14,000 from CarMax. AutoBuy originally appraised the car for $12.5, which was disappointing but not heartbreaking. Sometimes you're the windshield, and sometimes you're the bug. No harm, and I appreciated the friendliness of employee Mark Proctor. However, when I showed him the CarMax offer, Mark stepped it up and offered to beat it by $200 to earn the business. It worked. I came back two days later and sold them the car. The lease payoff was $13.8, so I left with a check for the difference, and they paid for the Uber back. So inside, it may not look like much, but Mark clearly believes in delivering quality service--and that says something about the company. Good advice- get your best offers elsewhere, then come here to see if they can stretch to beat it. Maybe they can, and maybe they can't, but at least you won't feel herded like cattle. read more

Took a car in for an appraisal today, overall had a very positive experience. The guys there definitely know a lot about cars. We did not end up selling the car, but nonetheless I think they deserve a flying five star. I went to Autobuy to get an appraisal on a car I want to sell. I had just come from Carmax where they offered me $15,000.00. But I kept that offer to myself and didn't mention it. Unlike Carmax who has huge impressive looking facilities that resemble new car dealerships, this place was a dumpy little shack. These guys offered me $13,500.00 for my car which was $1,500.00 less than Carmax. They said they would beat any written offer by $500.00. But based on their incredibly lousy reviews and from the dumpy appearance of the place, I was afraid their check might bounce. I've been shopping around for the best price for my 2016 Ram 1500 Big Horn. Been to a few dealers (one - #University Dodge - that treated me like crap which I commented on their Yelp page) but all were giving me the low-end of Kelly Blue Book value. I was in no rush to sell my vehicle and was just looking at options. I have a company car that I use 99% of the time so having a big car payment and insurance just didn't make sense. So I tried Autobuy. Wanted to see if they really lived up to their slogan; "We Pay The Max". Well, after all the places I've been, I have to give Autobuy 5 stars. And I don't often do that and here is why. I made an appointment for 4:15pm on a Sunday as that was one of the last ones available. I was expecting the worst given the time on a Sunday. When I walked in at 4pm, there was about 4 customers ahead of me. I figured "Oh here we go". They claim to have a quote ready for you in 20 minutes or less. So I waited at the desk for a few moments and noticed that only one person was working. Normally I would have walked out but he took a moment to come over and greet me and get some preliminary info all while seemingly to juggle 4 other customers at the same time. The salesman (Mike) was hustling and working as hard and as fast as he could. Managing multiple customers at once and getting things accomplished as fast as possible. Because of his hard work, I only had to wait a reasonable amount of time given the circumstances. He was incredibly professional and gave everyone equal attention and service. When it was my time, we went into the office and discussed the offer. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised that it was a very good offer compared to others; better than any dealer! But I wanted to sleep on it and Mike was very understanding. He was very professional and for me to think about it. I gave it careful review and yes, the offer was better than anyone else and they really offered the "max". Now I could have kept the vehicle, tried to sell it privately or kept shopping. But honestly, it was Mike's professionalism and candor that was the deciding factor in my selling to Automax. HE made the entire experience great. This is where others missed out. Autobuy had a true professional (Mike) who gave his 1000% effort into not only me but other customers as well. THAT's why I went with Autobuy and is why you should as well. But otherwise day 2 no complaints might consider doing this again, only with other paperwork in hand this is the last stop you go to on this journey otherwise you will end up in the comment section with them responding to your reviews with nonsense about how you aren't a real person (which if they don't get a response google will eventually take down) This was my experience on Google, When I wrote my review they tried to do the same as they do to any other review and tried to discredit my review. Went to Hollywood Chrysler / Jeep, they gave me $16,500 a full 10% more than the other two. They only pay about half of the KBB value for your vehicle. When I inquired as to why so low on the valuation, the employee explained they have all kinds of fees (over $2000) on their side after the purchase and still need to make a profit. Don't fall for this scam! read more

I took my low mileage 2008 Harley-Davidson FLHTC to this location to sell it. I had looked up what it was worth on NADA before going to AutoBuy. They offered me nearly $3,000 below Clean Trade-In/Wholesale. The motorcycle had one tear in the seat, but had lots of upgrades which included a high performance exhaust system. Needless to say I did not sell it to them. They would not even negotiate with me. They said that they needed a buyer before they could buy it from me. I took a 2016 Honda CTX with less than 600 miles, in perfect condition and was offered $2000 dollars. The bike with 10 times that milage sells between $5000 to $6000. The representative stated that the person who evaluates bikes isn't there and only comes once a week (even though they made an appointment with we a week ago and knew I was coming that day with a bike) so he said he would called him and was told this outrageous offer but he would call me the next day to see if they could offer me something better. He even told me that "I would want to punch him in the face" when he gave me the offer. I waited the next day for the call that never arrived.
