However, later he sent us an invoice for an additional $1000 after the work was started and told us the price is different as we have new stucco for the house. My husband who had recently recovered from a stroke was so upset that he could not speak and I had to talk to James about the invoice on his behalf. James repeatedly said that he had 20 years of experience and that it cost more to paint with new stucco. I was frankly in shock that he did not mention any of this in the quote at the beginning and only sent out an invoice with this new charge.
