Car broke down 5000 km after a major service check, dealership says the issues (crankshaft pulley…read morefailure) are "wear and tear" and won't cover it under warranty because it caused about $2000 worth of damages. My question is if it's wear and tear, why wasn't it checked when I'm paying thousands for routine service checks at this dealership. Dealership said "because the part eventually breaks, we consider it wear and tear." That is great logic coming from a bunch of scam artists, because every part on a car eventually breaks. Expensive lesson learned :) Horrible service, rude, and a very expensive for a seemingly unreliable product.

Es laufen jede Menge Angestellte rum, holen sich Kaffee und geben sich besonders cool. Nach einer halben Stunde ging's dann weiter. Der Mann vom Service war weg, also hat der erste alles gemacht. Leihwagen bekommen nach Hause gefahren. Man wird ja angerufen wenn das Auto fertig ist. 15 Uhr: Remote view zeigt, dass das Auto immer noch auf dem Parkplatz steht, wo ich es abgestellt habe. 15:30 Uhr : Wagen ist jetzt tatsächlich in der Werkstatt Warum hatte ich nochmal den Termin für 10 Uhr vereinbart? Telefonische Erreichbarkeit: 0 Sterne Pünktlichkeit: 0 Sterne Kompetenz bei der Annahme: 0 Sterne Bleibt nur die Hoffnung, dass der Service ordentlich gemacht wurde. Das kann man ja nicht selbst feststellen. Gleiche Erfahrungen habe ich bei dieser Werkstatt leider schon bei den vorherigen Terminen gemacht 1 Stern eigentlich nur deswegen, weil man ja leider nicht 0 Sterne geben kann! Erfahrungen mit anderen BMW Werkstätten waren da wesentlich besser. Falls ihr also eine andere Werkstatt in annehmbarer Entfernung habt, geht da hin. Schlimmer geht es ja nicht

If you have one of the more common BMW used here in Germany this is the place to come too. I have a 316i and I have friends that do too. I have gotten everything from antenna assemblies, mufflers, windows and simple items like flash relays and things. They don't speak English and my German is very limited but I have never left without buying or knowing if they have my part. The prices are super reasonable. I bought a muffler up to the bracket that comes from the catalytic coverter for 25 Euros (regula price is 160-265 euros . Went to the Auto skill center and within 30 mins was installed. Bought a passengers side window for 20 Euros and in 15 mins installed it right there. They are pretty organize and most parts are still in the vehicles so bring your tool set. Cars are stacked three high so if what you need is on the top car ask for help. I give the place 4 stras mostly because I have never gone wrong with them and I have had no issues with the parts I have purchased from them. Go out and see them the drive is about 20 mins take 66 toward rudesheim and then the 643 exit to Mainz, be careful theres a brigde with a vicious camara take the budensheim exit and stay straight at the T make a right in less than a mile down on ur left is NOHA. Its on a paralle road to L43.

Worst service ever! If I could give no stars I would. They try and screw over Americans as much as…read morepossible. Telling us things under warranty are not covered just to take our money. Saying they will order parts and then when we call to check on them coming in will take a month to get here. Very unprofessional. The two times we have taken our car there for warranty work it has come back with a new thing broken that is not under warranty that they did not even diagnosis. They are just money hungry and not even good quality repairs. My car is no longer under warranty here in Germany, so I will not be taking it back and telling everyone to stay away also.
