Fibrenew Rocklin - Before and after, like a brand new steering wheel!

Amazing work! Sam…read moreanswered my initial phone call and was very helpful. We sent him photos of our project via text and got an estimate right away. He was able to schedule us for an appointment that worked out perfectly for us. I'm amazed at how meticulous he works, even despite being in the hot garage on close to 100 degree days. He restored the steering wheel and leather seats for my husband's classic car and my husband is thrilled! So glad we found Sam and Fibrenew. Now we know who to call if we ever need leather restoration projects and where to send all our friends and family. He has a mobile service so he comes to you! Friendly guy, great attention to detail, reasonable prices, a local gem!

However, 8 months later, it is back to the original damaged condition. I have reached out many times over several weeks via phone, text, and email and neither Sam nor anyone from the company responded. I did get one text from them asking me to send a photo which I sent immediately, with no response or follow up from Fibrenew. The lack of communication and not being willing to discuss why the repairs did not last is not professional. My messages were polite and patient, but I was not treated with the courtesy of any reply. I wish they had told me up front that the repairs might not last. They should have made the effort to respond (at minimum) and/or try the repairs again to stand behind their services.

I called this business searching for someone to clean and condition my leather sofa, and love seat…read morewhich is over 35 years old. After a bit of friendly phone tag, I connected with the owner, Randy. Randy took the time to educate me (quite thoroughly) on the leather cleaning business, including the various types of leather that furniture is made from. He wanted to make sure I understood what I was asking for. I learned so much from him, however due to personal issues he wasn't able to do the work at the time. But he kindly referred me to an associate company he was familiar with called Fibre Clean. A company which he was familiar with that did equally excellent work. He promptly forwarded my name to them and I got a call back from the Fibre Clean owner right away! The work has been completed and now my old furniture looks beautiful again! Very high quality work as well as top notch customer service and communication. My furniture looks brand new and I am so pleased! I would definitely recommend a call to either of them if you need any type of leather cleaning and conditioning done. They not only work on furniture but also auto upholstery, boat upholstery and more!

He drove all the way to Carmichael for a free consultation to look at an oil scent leak on my vinyl dashboard. When he came, he noticed it was very minor and was honest that he wouldn't recommended trying to put color over it or replace it, and that he will try to put some chemicals on it to see if that will get rid of the spill. Even though he wouldn't even profit off me, he still recommended it to save me money. He was very patient, and managed to get rid of the stain and also did everything without asking for a dime. I even tried to give him a tip but he insisted not to and was very kind hearted. Truly it can't get more genuine than Randy, a great man that will be honest and be as helpful as possible. Beyond exceptional!!

STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS SHOP ! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. READ GOOGLE REVIEWS TO SEE THIS SHOPS…read moreREAL REVIEWS...I read the reviews on the shop before taking my Camaro over to have the carpet and seats done. I figured they were old reviews, and I would give the shop a chance. NOPE BELIEVE THE OTHER REVIEWS ! Steve quoted me one price the day before I brought it in and the day I brought it there was a different price much higher, (first red flag). I even brought the carpet kit and foam for the seats. We talked about it and we were able to agree on a price for the project. I went by to check on it after a couple of days, he said, oh I'm almost done I have one seat left. I started looking at the carpet and the way he had my center console installed. He said I couldn't get all the bolts in I just went ahead and mounted it the best I could so it wouldn't move. You will have to jack up the car and put the bolts on from underneath and he left it the way it was(red flag two). I started looking at the carpet and it was wrinkled all over and not tight to the floor. I noticed the carpet was cut at the top by the firewall I asked if he cut it and Steve said that he did not it came that way. I could clearly see that it was cut. After further inspection, the entire carpet was full of wrinkles front to back. Part of the carpet was protruding over my gas pedal. I asked, are you gluing this down to make the carpet tighter? I can't drive like this it's not safe. Steve said nope it's all finished, that's how carpet kits fit. I said Ive looked at numerous other cars like mine that had carpet kits installed and the carpet is tight to the floor. We went back-and-forth and I finally told him I'm not paying for this. This is not the type of work I was promised and I'm not paying for it unless you fix it. I said I could have just laid the carpet down, put the console on and it would've looked better than this. I asked again are you going to fix this ? He said nope Ive worked on it for 5 hours already. He says you are paying me for the seat I did. I said I'm not paying for anything you have left my car in shambles with bolts missing, carpet is installed wrong, you cut my carpet... I also noticed that he put the carpet down without putting the sound deadener that I provided to him. Steve proceeds to say oh no it didn't need that it already has foam underneath the carpet. However it all came together as a kit ? I loaded everything up and took my car right then and there. He has no pride in his work and it clearly showed. I gave him ample opportunity to say he would fix it but he could care less. I think he was just trying to hurry and get it done so when I came to pick it up, he would try to stick me with a higher price at that time. I'm glad I went by to check on it. I took it over to another shop and the guy said no this is not how you lay this down. You have to steam it and glue the carpet down. Stay away from this shop !! Take your car someone else. If I could give them zero stars I would.

Dropped off one of my favorite chair for re-padding. For the amount that they were charging for…read morere-padding, I actually could have purchased a brand new chair. Thinking little sentimental of the chair as well as the fact that this shop had multiple stars ratings here in Yelp, I thought I to go ahead and have them re-padded. They said something about giving me a great price because I was letting them use the recycled the material. Well upon delivery, it looked great but after only two days of sitting the "firm padding" has dramatically thinned out. The padding that was 3" Monday is already down to 1-1/2" on Wednesday. Maybe by Friday it would be down to 1" plus base wood. I'm kicking myself for 'trying out' the shop for $100. Talk about throwing good money after bad... One more thing...the place is bought out by a younger guy and it is now called: Automotive Interior Repair or AIR. Fancy name no? The original craftsman has been retired and most of these great ratings must be from the previous owner. When you walk in the shop expect to see a huge pile of "light-me-up" flammable shit just piled high in the middle of the shop, I could only describe it as an industrial waste site. With those old reflective heaters turned-on all over the place keeping the place warm, with this soup of plastic, rubber, foam pile in the middle, it does wonders for your sinuses and lung cancer. Buyer-Be-Aware!!
