I purchased a 2500 RAM from Texas Auto Group on August 8th, 2025 It was a good purchase with ONE EXCEPTION. Marcus (salesperson) did a fine job, Kamila in finance did a fine job, Maria and Monica in titles and registration did a fine job. BUT..... Somehow the State of Texas DMV was slow and then the third party contractor that the dealership employs to audit the plate and registration paperwork (based somewhere in Colorado) FAILED, FAILED, AND FAILED SOME MORE to perform the duty for which they were contracted to do. I am an out-of-state purchaser of this truck and understand that it should take a few extra days because it is out-of-state. However, it's actually taken 82 days (yes, that's nearly 3 months!!!) and 4 Temporary Tags The dealership is without blame. The people who work at the dealership are without blame. They did all they could to expedite and help (except for providing a name/address for the Title Company responsible for the delays). I am also very pleased with the vehicle. MY WARNING TO ANY POTENTIAL OUT-OF-STATE BUYERS OF A VEHICLE AT TXAUTOGROUP IS TO REALIZE THAT THE TEMPORARY TAGS YOU GET FOR YOUR VEHICLE WILL EXPIRE LONG BEFORE THE PAPERWORK IS COMPLETED AND SENT TO YOUR HOME STATE!!!. I only wish I could have talked the girls in Titles and Registration into giving me the name or contact number of this contractor.... I would have much rather rattled their cage a few times a week instead of bothering them. Update...... I was able to track down the title company responsible for all the delays. They are ATC. This is one of the worst companies I've worked for. Communication is terrible, and their service reflects that lack of organization. Promotions are based on popularity rather than performance. Their turnaround times are inaccurate, and the pay is not fair for the workload. Files are often mishandled or lost because too many people are involved with no clear system in place. I am already experiencing what most have already mentioned about being left in the dark. I have yet to receive my plates, registration, or title and its been several months since I purchased the car. My dealership does not provide any updates and if you call ATC they will tell me that they can't share any information because they deal directly with the dealership. I bought into the lies the dealership was feeding me and they insisted that they won't allow me to register my own car and rather go through a 3rd party to get the paperwork done. What BS. As others experienced, Automotive Titling Corporation apparently sat with my money ($4100) and completed title paperwork until 8 weeks after my sale date before reportedly forwarded paperwork to DMV. DMV will take 30 days +/-. So now I have to garage my brand new car while I wait for plates, hoping that ATC actually did submit (state DMV is not showing anything yet) and isn't still earning interest on the funds I paid the dealership two months ago. Dealership says they forwarded on to ATC in a timely manner. I will have to get a lawyer involved to sue the dealership, since that is who I did business with. Dealership can countersue ATC. Do NOT purchase from any dealer who uses Automotive Titling Corporation for vehicle registration. read more

Basically, rather than mailing your title and registration application paperwork directly to the Department of Motor Vehicles, the dealer sends it to this outfit. Their process is cumbersome and slow. We waited over two months for our title, registration and plates. DMV said we could have submitted the paperwork ourselves. If you are purchasing a vehicle out-of-state, make sure the dealer is not using this process. read more

I received a paper(affidavit) on 12/4, from my equally incompetent dealership from this "business," dated for 10/10. Could literally anyone answer me as to why I'm STILL waiting on plates? The car was purchased 8/30. I will not be dealing with this b.s. in the future. If a dealership tells me this is the process, I'll absolutely be finding somewhere else to get a vehicle. I don't even know how it's legal, but I can't get anyone to make me understand either. I had a perfectly good plate that could've been transferred to my new car 2 months ago. That plate is still good through February of 2025. So, if I get any actual registration and plate before then, I'll have to turn right the hell around and get my own plate and registration again, after barely getting any use from the b.s. You would think that a company which provides "OUT-OF-STATE title and registration services" would think the reason they are doing this is that the person buying the car may not be home. They could at least request what address the package should be sent to since they use FedEx (which can't be forwarded) instead of USPS. They sent my package to Arizona while I was in Massachusetts! They also didn't answer the phone when I tried to get them to call FedEx to change the destination address. So of course my temporary dealer plate expired! Very slow at what they do, causing you to get pulled over multiple times. Then when you call there because your Dealer is worthless as well, they then tell you they won't speak to you, because they are strictly business to business. I told her, well I bought the car for my business and you are speaking to the Business Owner. She then became obtuse, then so did I. This company is hands down, worthless! read more

Not a great experience. Almost after 4 weeks did I even get one of my two vehicles plates. When I called to ask about the other, they would not answer any questions and sent me to my dealer who has a hard time getting any answers from them. I have been waiting for over two months for my plates despite my paying an $85 service fee to this company at the time of purchase. The dealership is instructing me to call my local DMV -- exactly the type of legwork that ATC is supposed to handle -- so not only do I still not have my plates, I am now doing the very same time consuming work I paid ATC to handle through the dealership. read more

Please ask when purchasing a car from the dealer who their title company is with and if it is this company.....DO NOT BUY THE CAR! If you are a company looking for a title company, continue to look, do NOT use this company! I purchased a new car Nov 12, I am transferring my tags...pretty cut and dry process, nope. I STILL DO NOT HAVE TITLE, OR ABILITY TO TRANSFER MY TAGS, it has been OVER 60 days! I have purchased and transferred tags MANY times in my life, never with this much difficulty! Called and was given NO information on process, timing. In the meantime my temporary tags have expired, and I cannot cancel my car insurance on the car I traded because the tags have not been transferred yet in my state to the new vehicle. It is State law here no insurance can be cancelled until tags are transferred, or turned in. Stay away from this company. The BBB is my next move. Wish I had seen reviews before and knew to ask about this company! Horrible! read more

Do not use this company. You have been warned. I was forced to use this company to register a vehicle I purchased in another state. They took 6 weeks to transfer my registration from my old traded in vehicle to the new truck. I could have completed this in under 30 minutes at a local DMV office. All you need is bill of sale, original purchasing state title, proof of insurance, proof tax was paid and your license/photo ID. No reason why this simple task takes longer than 30 minutes including waiting in line. I had all that paperwork at the dealer but was forced to use this company. I have used other companies like this in the past and always had my registration paperwork in under 2 weeks. Never 6 weeks! Due to their 6 week turnaround my 30 day temporary registration expired and my new truck was now unregistered and useless in the driveway. The dealer I purchased it from was nice enough to rent me a car until this was figured out and completed. Cost the dealer another $500 for the rental. If I have to ever use this company again I will cancel the sale and go somewhere else. Horrible experience. read more

Unreasonable delays, slow processing, and extremely poor communication! I've been waiting to have my car registered for over 2 months because ATC took an extremely long time to process the initial paperwork (longer than 30 days) and then they made a mistake so it had to be refiled. They take weeks to respond to emails and voicemails. Eventually we had to cut ATC out of the process and now I'm working directly with the dealership and my insurance company to get my car registered. read more
