Moe was able to answer all our questions, and what he didn't know about the newest Hondas, he looked up on the spot. I got a coupon for an oil change and tire rotation for $79.99 but I was out of town, and could not use it before it expired. Two weeks later, when I returned, I received another coupon, with wording that they had "REDUCED" the cost of the oil change, to $89.99!! I scheduled my oil change, and took both coupons, the $79.99 and the $89.99 coupons, and pointed out to the gentleman, the wording that the price was not reduced but in fact INCREASED! I asked him if he would honor the cheaper coupon, but he refused, and stated it had expired. I pointed out again, the wording of the current "REDUCED" $89.99 coupon, and that it was not honest. Normally, I take my Mazda to the Mazda dealerships so I trust things will be done "right" and according to the standard of the car/manufacturing. I have never had an issue and I have owned my car for close to 10 years now. Not only did they focus primarily on the video inspection and recommendations to upsell more than what I was actually needing serviced that day, but they charged me for a tire rotation that was never done. I requested it and spoke with the service writer at drop off to explain that even if it was a little soon for a rotation, I wanted this service done. I noticed the same beauty cap missing on the same tire that I pointed out pre-service. I also work nights and had to leave 2 messages to no avail/call back (mind you, it's the phone number to the service writer which was left on the invoice) only to have to call on my time yet again, to be reimbursed and gain some clarity on what did/didn't happen. No one told me that did not happen when I picked my car up, despite charging me and not reviewing the invoice. That means that my car was there for close to 3 hours...all for an oil change/filter change, and video of course. The employee who helped refund me finally seemed apathetic and didn't even really apologize for charging me for a service not completed? If a simple review to the invoice is too much to ask, I don't really feel like I can trust this staff with the vehicle I rely on. DMV had not received title. Dealership gave runaround answer. Went again in August. DMV had still not received title. Got runaround again. In the meantime, refinance company threatened to cancel my loan due to not title available. Was told to come in and sign something at dealership. Manager had the audacity to blame delay on employee maternity/paternity leave. As if employees don't have the right to time off to bond with their newborns. Received notice on 9/24 that DMV received title. Almost 6 months after purchase. My daughter found a car she was interested in at this dealership. She called and scheduled an appointment with a sales guy. When we arrived, he was not there but another sales guy was assigned. Shortly after sitting down with him, he stepped away to confirm that the car was still on the lot. My daughter had called a second time and was assured it was still there. Next, a woman came in and told us that Mark, the second sales guy was caught up in another deal. When we asked her if the car was there, she discovered that it was sold and proceeded to try to convince us to buy another car. Worst case of bait and switch I have seen in a very long time. My husband has been bringing his car here for regular maintenance for many years. Last week, he brought it in for routine inspection and oil change. He chose certain preventative maintenance repairs (costing over $1k). When he goes to pick it up, he pays, gets the keys, and walks to the car. There is a new giant crack across the front windshield. Note, this was not there prior and was not in the inspection report so likely happened during the repair! The tech says it probably happened in the car wash? The manager said we signed something saying we are liable for any damages? I looked through the paperwork and don't see that. I was told I could just turn my car in but that Mazda would send me a bill for $4000 because of 'hail damage' on the roof of my car. I left. GO TO SCHOMP MAZDA INSTEAD!!!! They don't charge the outrageous ~$800 rep commission fee and they'll actually provide you with a positive customer service experience. Schomp Mazda brought my car through for a wash and was able to see that it WASN'T actually hail damage. I've never been so disappointed than I was at Mcdonald South. Service tech told me they would try to get to it today but most likely tomorrow before I got it back. After 9 hours I called to get a status. Had to leave a message because no one answered. No response so I called back. After 5 minutes on hold a second time I I finally spoke to Josh who told me they hadn't even looked at the car today. Again, I had an appointment and was the first car into the service department at 7 am. Josh got combative and defensive and told me they had 24-48 hours to complete a diagnostic before they started work. I don't care what their time frame is, it's totally unacceptable to have my car sit there all day long without being touched. Does that mean each car in for service that arrived after mine was also not touched for the entire day? I picked up my car and took it somewhere else because I had zero confidence they would get to it the second day and at there pace it could be all week before the got it back to me. read more

As a repeat customer, I trusted when I was told that the used car I purchased had "NEW BRAKES". However, just a day later, I had concerns/issues with the brakes and had them inspected by Brakes Plus - turns out that the front brakes were down to 3mm, or about 25%, and in need of replacement. When I brought this up to the dealership and provided proof, I was told that only the rear brakes were replaced and they refused to replace the front brakes. Unless you like being lied to, I would not recommend dealing with this dealership and will advise all of my friends and family to steer clear. read more

Beware of McDonald Mazda Broadway! Bought a CPO Mazda from McDonald. Car needed warranty work on a defective shark fin antenna so I brought it in for them to look at. I gave explicit directions for them not to try and push or pull on it. Service advisor Phoenix took over my car and had to bring it down to their collision center. He wouldn't let me take it down. When I received the car back he said I need an appointment with collision center for them to take my headliner down to not crease it. Also noted to him that they did in fact mess with my antenna as there was now a slight dent in my roof around it. He noted this with their service manager Adam. I get home and what do I find...they in fact already creased my headliner. I called collision center to make an appointment multiple times and never received a call back to schedule. I called Phoenix and Adam and they said it's now out of their hands and the collision centers problem to fix. No one has returned my calls as they know they screwed up and are hoping I just stop trying.... I went to Groove Mazda on Arapahoe. They were the most caring and professional service department ever. Took care of my antenna under warranty without question in under an hour. They will be my go to dealership from now on. I even asked them to replace the dealership plates to theirs as I await my new plates!!! I will be reporting McDonald to USA Mazda and the Dealership licensing board/commissioner. They have the most inexperienced and immature staff there, don't take responsibility when they screw up and don't care. Beware everyone! This ain't the first I've heard of complaints about them. Buyer BEWARE! My experience with this South Mazda dealership - I leased a brand new 2023 Mazda-CX 5 (April 2023). The day I purchased it I was happy to feel like I be safe and rely on this car to take me to school and work. This is furthest from the case even with my due diligence of treating my car wit utmost care and pride. From the moment I left the dealership with my car up until recently, I have had nothing but wasted time, effort, and disappointments. It really all came full circle when the little problems started to add up and turn into bigger ones. - It started with not receiving the car I purchased. During the sale, I was promised a few additional features to my car. A button for my trunk(All it does is unlock and lock the car) and my side mirrors that would defrost(It was not snowing often enough to make sure this was true until the beginning of 2024). I spent many unnecessary hours at the DMV only to find out that the Registration was not in process due to Mazda dealer error. I called the dealership many times to get this issue resolved in a timely matter. They never answered the phone or my countless messages. I finally had to text one of the Financial Officers to get someone's attention. Back to the dealership, I had to go to obtain a new temporary plate due to their lack of response not to mention multiple DMV visits. -I was also given the option to pay a little more a month to apply for more Oil Changes and Tire rotations. Turns out it was ONLY for 2 additional Services. - My key fob had issues from the beginning and did not work. I was driving and suddenly, the key fob was not detected. I had enough when I took the car for a scheduled oil change only to get it back and the engine light turns on after a couple of weeks. The car had only 10k miles and has been treated so well. Trying to reach this Dealership has been an absolute nightmare. I have left multiple messages and even emailed someone with no response. I even had Mazda Corporate leave two messages and they also have not gotten a response. I am a full-time student and work to make ends meet. As many can relate cars are not cheap and never an investment but a necessity. This dealership was happy to take my business but the minute I received the keys they did not care. No return calls, no follow-up, and most of all taking no ownership of selling me a leased lemon. I feel very taken advantage of. I wanted to buy a car here but can't move forward with any business at this dealer. Jay was helping me out and he was quick to respond to my emails and questions. We agreed on a price that wasn't great, but fair and I wasn't going to start really pushing for a better deal. I had to finalize repairs on my car I was trading in and was unable to move forward with the purchase on the last day of the month. That is when Jay started pressuring me and flat out LYING about the availability of the SUV in the color I wanted in Colorado. This is a relatively easy thing to fact check and once I confirmed he was lying to get my sale I could not buy from them. I emailed Stephen the manager to let him know what is happening in his dealership, but he just wanted to continue the sale and called being lied to an "inconvenience". He didn't really address the fact that A) either lying to close a sale is the culture of his dealership and it is encouraged, or B) he is not setting the example and demanding integrity in his employees and has no control of how they conduct themselves. I am buying my first new car, and like anyone else have heard horror stories about dealerships. I was especially nervous about going in with my husband and being ignored as a woman. I was pleasantly surprised at McDonald Mazda South. I was spoken to with the same frequency and intelligence as my husband, and never felt talked down to. Arturo was super helpful and knowledgeable about Mazdas. I will say that I felt a certain amount of pressure to walk away same-day with a car, despite having made an appointment and setting expectations early that we were in the early stages of making a decision and just wanted to take a test drive as a part of that. I think that's likely part and parcel of going in to a dealership, and will say it was miles better than any other dealership we went to. For whatever it's worth, McDonald Mazda feels like a proper dealership. Our salesperson had his own office (three walls and otherwise open--super helpful during COVID!--with wood paneling, nice furniture, and even its own little cafe. I would NOT suggest McDonald Mazda in Littleton to my worst enemy! I had a bad vibe when we got out of our vehicle and we were looking at cars in their very full lot there was a salesperson just standing there, staring at his cell phone and never once approached us to see if we needed any help. 1st red flag We had to walk into the building to find a salesperson. The fellow at the desk was nice and said he would help us and sat us in an office. Then a minute later he says. "They are sending me to pick up another vehicle so let me see if I can get someone else to help." 2nd red flag He walks over to a desk to another guy (Blake) and asks him if he is busy and if he could help him out. That person says he is busy. I observe him and he sits on his phone & walks around the dealership. He doesn't have a customer or anything else. So NOT busy at all. 3rd red flag The original guy ends up helping us after all. He seems pretty new, but he is trying to hustle. We have already been to a couple of places and researched online. So we give them our final out-the-door price. This brings the Sales Manager out. A real gem! (NOT) He comes over and says that most people don't even come into the dealerships anymore, they do everything online and he was making zero dollars on this deal because it is a cash deal! He tells us some other nonsense about tires voiding a warranty etc etc, but we decide to deal anyway. 4th red flag BUT The final red flag & nail in the coffin was they told me I had to bring 30K in cash to buy the car. No person check No cashier check No bank check. A corporate policy according to their Finance Manager! (Ian) When I got up and walked out (after seeing if my CU had that much cash on hand, they did not...for a week) They offered to have the Sales Manager walk into my Credit Union with me to get the check and ONLY then would accept the check. WHAT IN THE ACTUAL... It took everything I had not to lose my temper. Are we back to the time of the Osage Native American tribe? I mean there is a big movie with Leonardo DiCaprio out right now winning all kinds of awards right now. It made me think of that. These people want to walk into my bank and watch me withdraw this $$ from my account, WHY? HOW DISRESPECTFUL!. I should've listened to my first vibe in the parking lot and just got back in my vehicle and saved me time & hassle. Thankfully the good people at Schomp stayed open late for us. Believe the one star reviews and RUNNNN. We brought home our brand new car noticed it was damaged the moment we parked it at home and they refused to fix it and said it wasn't there at delivery. Literally drove it home, my husband noticed it when I was pulling in & we immediately texted a picture. They're incredibly detailed and highly skilled (who left swirls all over the pant) detailers wouldn't have missed it. Some back story - we leased the car and it wasn't yet on the lot so we hadn't even seen the actual car until we went to pick it up. At pick up the car was parked on a sheet of ice (the sales guy literally fell out of the car it was slippery) tightly between two cars. I wasn't even provided a safe space to look over the car. I can see where from far away it looks like snow spots but it's clearly a very deep scratch. I now have a brand new car that I didn't damage but I either get to drive around with the damage or pay out of pocket to fix! Huge bummer - if you choose buy here check every INCH before you leave! I highly recommend going ANYWHERE else unless you like a damaged car AND being berated and blamed by the dealership for damaged they caused!!! read more

bought a used car January, 6 2024. Two weeks into April, my engine died. I overpaid for the vehicle, if not for a warranty I purchased separately, I would be F@#$$. Beware sales and finance team are super nice until you sign the ink and then you're on your own. I'm disappointed because this is my second time buying a car from McDonald Mazda. The first car experience ( bought a Mazda) was a bit better that is why returned, but I won't again. I feel robbed. I don't think they really condition trade ins before they push the junk onto someone else. I was in a tight spot and buying a junk car just made my life worse. UPDATE Here I am again 2 months after an engine replacement!!looking at another $4500 job. But to do the math, I paid $13,000 for the car, plus tax insurance, registration tags etc, I bought their useless warranty, resulting in an over $20,000 loan. 3 months after having the car the engine fails it cost $10,000 to replace the engine in addition to another $1,200 I had to shell out of pocket for things that are not covered by warranty. 2 months after the engine is replaced other things are failing costing over$4,500. In a 6 month span the cost to fix this vehicle is more than the car was for sale on the lot. But the sales manager at Mazda said you bought the car as is. That response and their lack of compassion is criminal. No one walks into a reputable dealership expecting the dealership will sell them a brick, that is basically what they sold me. I finances a useless brick. They get to benefit there's no benefit for me I can't go and finance another car. If I had read the reviews before going back to Mazda for another vehicle I would have gone somewhere else. I dropped my key fob and did not realize the back had at some point completely fallen away and was lost. I called into parts there and asked if they could cover replacement, or if they had just the back. They said no so I asked to be put through to Morgan. He was rude and blunt when telling me they do not cover the issue. Here's the deal with Morgan though. Very sweet and tenacious when I was a prospective buyer, but no surprise after the fact completely disowned me and my scenario this time. Too bad for him and this dealership, unbeknownst to Morgan, my daughter was in the market for a car and I suggested without hesitation that she go to Morgan. I've come back every time for every vehicle need since, and I have not once been disappointed. The Services Department is phenomenal and has always been so responsive, friendly, and helpful. London and Ethan in particular have been a great pair, and I trust they only want what's best for their customers. If I could give zero stars, I would. I went to look at a car that said it was available on the website on a Saturday. The car was not cleaned and they said they had just gotten the car a few days prior from the previous owner. So I went in on Monday to sign papers and pay my down payment thinking that because I was PURCHASING the car, the detailing and conditioning would be expedited and I could have the car within a few days. They were nice enough to get me a loaner car in the meantime while I waited for my car as I just started my new job. I go in to sign and they say a loaner car won't be ready until Wednesday... ummm, okay? How am I supposed to get home then? After signing papers, they magically got a loaner car. Thinking I could pick it up in a few days, I kept getting the same excuse: "we're waiting on a part" or "it still needs to be detailed." TWO WEEKS LATER I finally get my car. When I called and asked why it was taking so long, again I got the "we're waiting on a part" excuse. And then, I got the "I don't want to guilt trip you, but we don't do loaner cars and I felt bad because you started your new job" okay, well that's a lie because the loaner car I was waiting on had been loaned to someone else before me. And when I got my car, it wasn't even filled all the way. I left the lot with a half a tank of gas. I was so rushed to leave because a.) I was just over this place and b.) I have two very anxious dogs at home that had been locked inside for 12 hours that I didn't even notice until I got home. McDonald, if the car wasn't ready to be purchased, don't put it on your website until it is. Not that hard. read more
