Had my car impounded late Saturday night. They were closed Sunday. Called all morning Monday and no one was there. Got ahold of someone at 11:30 and they charged me $513 for a day and a half of holding my car. The place is a joke. Pretty sure they work with the police to rob people blind. I brought a car from here around March and the day after I brought the car it had to be towed because it was misfiring. A few months after that I go to turn the heat on and it does not work. That would of been good information to know. The speakers broke a day after I brought the car as well. Lastly, the ABS sensor just broke in my car. I have not even had it for a full year and it's already given me a number of problems. Oh yeah and one last thing the muffler was so loud I am constantly pulled over for it; it got really loud a few months after I had it. Do not buy a car here it's a waste of money. read more

Autos By Joseph highland Ny has to be one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. They are scammers. I tried to purchase a vehicle from them and in order to hold the vehicle for me they asked for a deposit, no problem here is my credit card. They were unable to produce a receipt and provided me with a typed out letter stating there was a deposit made, this letter did not include a vin number, car information nothing to state what I put a deposit on. I was so excited to get my new car. My husband and I talked about it over night and we realized something wasn't rite the way we didn't get a proper recipe even after asking several times and the letter not having the information for the vehicle. So we decided not to continue with the purchase, I had spoken with Nick and he stated he was unable to provide me with a refund so I called my credit card companies to cancel the purchase, Holy cow they added a few hundred dollars to the amount I had agreed for them to take off my card.. I guess this is why they could not produce a receipt! I was so shocked and honestly completely angry, who does this, what reputable business would do this would overcharge an amount that was agreed-upon and hide it by not producing a receipt? This makes me question the legitimacy of this business, their professionalism, and if they're lying about how much they're charging you are they lying about the condition of the vehicles, would I have needed to purchase a new vehicle in a few weeks a month from now after spending thousands of dollars on a vehicle that is supposed to be in pristine condition, I'm not a mechanic, nor do I pretend to be, but I do know what's right from wrong, and this business does not treat his customers right I would not recommend this business, and I would never consider doing business with them again, even if it was the last place on earth, that I can afford a vehicle. Do what you will with this information, but I felt that people needed to be warned what they're getting themselves into dealing with this business. My husband and I went here looking to buy a car. Once we arrived, we found out this 1 business has 2 locations, about 5 minutes apart from each other with cars on both lots in no order. It was a pain driving back and forth between lots to look at cars and narrow down our choices. Once we picked a vehicle, we went into the office to talk with the owner. While talking, he found out my husband's credit score was much higher than we thought it was, changing the type of car we could afford. With that information, my husband and I drove over to the other lot to re-look at a couple cars. We picked a 2007 Subaru Forester which had 131,781 miles and was priced at $7,995. We let the man running the second lot know our decision and he said we could fill out the application at this location instead of having to drive back to the other one. We went upstairs, and since this was a car for my husband, filled out the application under my husband's name. Inside, the restroom was absolutely disgusting and filthy. There was no soap and the sink had no running water even if there was. The employee helping us at the time entered all of the information for the application in his computer, and just sent it in once he was done. He never once let us look to make sure the information was correct and there was nothing for us to sign saying that we approved what he put down. He asked us to wait a moment, and called up Joe (the owner) in the main office. He said Joe wanted an application to be filled out for me as well. That way, when he talked to the bank, he had my information to use as a back-up. We sent in another application, this time in my name, only for the purpose of being used as back up. Once again, we were not allowed to see the application before it was sent off. The employee called Joe again and told us Joe wanted us to drive back down to the other office for the deposit. Once there, my husband made a deposit with Joe for the car. Joe gave my husband a receipt and told us he would let us know what the bank said on Monday. Over the week-end, my husband and I realized we were so excited about the credit score and better car, we completely forgot to even ask about a warranty or to haggle the price of the car at all. We did some research, talked to our mechanic, and looked up the Kelly Blue Book value of the car. Our mechanic said the price seemed high, and KBB puts the Fair Purchase Price at $5,828 with a Suggested Retail Price of $6,216. Way lower than the $7,995 Joe was asking for. Monday morning I called Joe. I let him know we were so excited about everything we forgot to ask about those two topics. He quickly responded that he usually doesn't do a warranty with cars that have over 100,000 miles and when he does put a warranty on his vehicles, it is only for 60 days. As far as the KBB value, Joe told me "quite frankly, Kelly Blue Book doesn't sell cars." In his opinion, all they do is put a value on cars and their values don't mean anything. Joe told me there is absolutely no wiggle room in his price. Either buy the car for what he is asking for or go somewhere else. We decided we will go somewhere else. Later in the day, I went to the main office to get my husband's deposit back. Joe gave me a check made out to both my husband and I and my name was spelt completely wrong. I told him I should not be on the check. He told me I filled out an application so yes I did. I informed him I only filled one out per his request so he would have my information as back-up for the bank if they needed it. The car was for my husband and would be his car under his name, and it was my husband that gave Joe money, not me. I was not involved in the money, my name was not on the receipt, and even if I was involved we do not have a joint bank account. To deposit the check I would need to show my license and the name he put on the check is not the name on my license. He looked up my application and said "well that's the way it's spelt on your application." The very same application I was not allowed to look at. Joe agreed to re-write the check but refused to take my name off. He told me "that's the way I'm doing it and there is nothing you can do about it." Every word I said he cut me off or talked-over me. Asked me how to spell my name when he re-typed the check, and then still wrote it wrong anyway, refusing to re-write it correctly. He was abrupt, very rude, spoke down to me as if I was nothing, told me he was going to do what he wanted and I could do nothing about it, and then refused to even let me speak further. I left in tears absolutely furious at how I was treated. read more
