I would like to say that I am not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this dealership. I found Ed and Jay to be professional and straight forward. I purchased a great used Subaru Legacy at a great price. We went over some issues, they resolved them the next day, and I drove it off the lot. I would also like to add, they have a wide variety of cars and trucks. And from my time being there, two people drove off the lot with cars that they purchased. I came across this new business while searching online for certain used vehicles during the summer of 2018. This used car dealership is only operated by two guys as the business continues to grow. After test-driving a vehicle, I waited to think about it and do some final research. There were absolutely no pressure tactics and none of the typical car salesman games that us customers are all used to. This alone persuaded me to buy a vehicle here. When buying the vehicle, Billy would not negotiate down on the price at all. Around 99% of the time, I walk when used car salesmen won't negotiate. However, he gave me a fair value on my trade-in (probably more than it was worth). Also, I had researched this car and it was (by far) the cheapest around. He was asking $10k for a car that usually sells for $12k. One thing i didn't like is months later, I realized the vehicle model is not what Prestige advertised! They advertised the vehicle as a Nissan Sentra SR, which is the high-end Sentra. Recently, after researching the car, I realized this is a Nissan Sentra S, which is the low-end Sentra. The price I agreed to was for the high-end Sentra. If I knew that, the value would've been much less and I wouldn't have bought this. However, I've had the car for 3 months now and it's still a great car with no problems. Billy was thorough and followed through on everything he promised. The vehicle I bought had an open recall and also had a lot of road dirt stuck on the front-end. Before receiving the vehicle, Billy followed through with his promise by sending the vehicle to the dealership to repair the recall and sending the vehicle to a car detail shop for a full interior/exterior detail. One month after driving the vehicle, Billy called me to come in for my registration. He followed through and was efficient with everything we did. read more

Safety is not a priority for them. My husband and I purchased a 2012 Chevy traverse in November 2021. Even before we brought the car home It needed a steering pump. (I noticed on the test drive, then the alternator went on the 1st attempt to take it home .When we were able to finally drive the car home the initial tight feeling I felt was fixed. However we noticed the steering felt touchy/tight. It was at the shop for almost 3 weeks with Jay and his guys ,we thought whatever needed to be repaired would have been fixed; and the vehicle which came with a NYS inspection sticker. We also heard a noise which we thought was a wheel bearing (it was a familiar sound). We felt taking it to our mechanic was for the best.. We made an appointment at the shop we have taken all of our vehicles to for the past 20+ years to have the wheel bearing checked. We also asked them to look over the car and check the steering. By the time our appointment came around we put about 4,000 miles on the car. After the shop checked over the car, they reached out to us and informed us that our car should not have passed inspection when it did, which was in November 2021 .The steering was so unsafe, he explained that any mechanic would have known something was not right. The shop would not let us drive the car without the repairs getting done, it would have to towed. It was that unsafe, along with a few other things that should have been fixed before the car was even inspected. The car should have failed inspection. Not sold to a family. We reached out to Jay to explain what happened, he offered to make the repairs. We tried to explain that in order for that to happen that car would have to be towed to him and fixed at a discounted rate. We did not agree to that. We left him a 1 star review on google, he responded with a phone call telling us he didn't like our review and in order to contact him in the future we had to go through New York or with a lawyer. I contacted New York and explained what happened. They explained what to do. I reached out one more before contacting the state and was told to go through with my complaint. My main concern is that our car should not have been sold without the repairs done. Both my husband and I are commercial drivers and safety is our number 1 concern. To find out we were driving a car that was unsafe and would have failed inspection if taken to ANY shop bothered us. We are filing a complaint with New York about the inspection. read more

I purchased a Honda Accord from this dealership on 11/6/19 the price posted on their website, Facebook market place,Carguru and on the cars windshield was $8128.00. Their salesperson Makaela even stated that the $8128.00 was the price after I returned from a test drive.After I was rushed through the signing of the paperwork I noticed the price on the paperwork was $9022.00 after leaving the dealership and arriving home this price was $894.00 over what I was told the price of the car was. I sent the dealership a message through Facebook about the discrepancy with no reply from them. I then went back to the dealership with the paperwork and was told that the $894.00 was a dealer prep fee. When on average dealer prep fees run between $100-$400.So I was charged $894.00 to wash and vacuum the car. This dealership will never receive my business again nor will I refer anyone to them. And this dealer prep fee appears nowhere on their paperwork or was it mentioned during the signing of the paperwork. read more

The owner Jay is a liar and manipulative. I purchased a car from him that he claims came with a warranty 90 day/3,000 miles. The same day I purchased the car I had issues and he gave me the run around. He has a filthy looking partner who tried to intimidate me when I brought the car back to be checked out while I was alone. Worst car dealership I've ever had to deal with. Every issue that was wrong with the car the dealer blamed it on bad gas. If your thinking of purchasing from this company run, they aren't worth the money or time. I brought the car I purchased back 3 times in one week, for them to waste my time and say it's bad gas. Very disrespectful and rude men that only act this way towards women. read more

BUY or HIRE AT YOUR OWN RISK! This place is shockingly unprofessional. I am still stunned. They caused my family, AAA, and State Farm stress, extra overtime work, and ultimately left my son stranded without a car to get to college with. Shameful. Prestige Pre-Owned Motors in New Windsor, NY, is one of the reasons that used car dealers have a bad name. (Although we have always found good dealers elsewhere, before this, so have faith.) My 20 year old son chose a car there, got a purchase agreement, and then got a AAA loan and took out insurance on the car. Suddenly, the owners totally ghosted us for four days. My son had to get an emergency last minute ride to college (the new car was his ride and the dealer, Jay, knew this and promised he would make it happen). My son was already paying a loan and insurance on the new car from this dealer!!! Jay Yarber made up high-drama stories about why they could not respond to us. Then, after 4 days of begging for a reply and Jay and Ed ghosting us, Jay sent an email saying the car was no longer available. When my son already had a loan and insurance on it! As per their agreement! Unbelievable. (So.... no time to let us pick the car up or respond to us on when we could, but time to sell it to someone else? Clearly, he and his partner Ed think we have an extremely low IQ). Unfortunately, we had seen other reviews saying that these people lied to and scammed people, and that they have no problem screwing families over, but I figured, things happen, surely they could not stay in business if they were that bad. Nope. They do and they are. The warnings were all obviously true. Do yourself a huge favor, don't ignore this one. Even if they "let" you actually pick your car up or they fix a car for you, do you really feel comfortable buying a car from a dealership like this? Or letting them fix the car you depend on for work, school, errands, travel? I hope you heed our warning, I wish I had listened to other customers. Good luck with your car search. Nope, we never had an appointment, not even once. Jay simply told us their hours and we said we were coming in to pick the car up. My son and I literally updated them every few hours as to when we would be there and they said fine. When my son did call from my car saying we were on our way now to get it (after giving updates every few hours), Jay said not to come because he was leaving 2 hours early for a family emergency. He did not call us or email us to say when we could get the car. My son had to borrow a car to get to college, not easy. The dealer also said "you should have let us know you were having trouble securing funds." Nope, also untrue. AAA was short staffed due to AUgust vacations, but it took a few hours longer than expected, as did State Farm for insurance (48 hours from both), and we let Jay know this and he said FINE. Why mislead us? No reason for that. Finally, Prestige said they held the car for three days without a deposit. Guess what? My son went to sign the purchase agreement with cash in hand, and Jay declined to take it. Jay said not necessary to make a deposit. I was very suspicious of that. Who does not take a deposit? Spidey sense. There were red flags. I warned my son to look elsewhere but my son is an innocent, so he got scammed. Trust your gut. On the bright side, I'm sure we dodged a bullet, since customers who have bought cars at Prestige Pre-Owned, report many problems down the line. Don't be fooled. read more

my wife bought 2012 honda pilot and 2 days later the check engine light came on with a bad catalytic converter, so we brought it in to have it checked out, and the mechanic gave us the brush off saying it was bad gas what a lie that was! he just gave us the brush off until after 30 days so they wont fix it!!! so the light keeps coming on and brought it in to my local mechanic and its the catalytic converter now i have to shove out over 1000.00 now! not to mention the stuck us with a useless warranty that i will never use for 2000.00 and they did it on their own so they can get the commission! i will never recommend them. see if i can get my attorney involved! read more

I was very Interested in a used Audi they had for sale. I spoke to what I assumed was a salesman, but he honestly sounded like he was 14. We went back and forth for a week about this car, we went over price and I was set to buy the car, I live over an hour from the business so I waited until a Saturday to go down to test drive the car and the night before the "salesman" had me sending my pay stubs, proof of address, my W-2, and the title of my current car that I was planning on trading in. I asked for them to send me the purchase agreement and all the info that I would need to read over before completing the sale..I was told they could not send those to me and did not give a reason....now I know why...so by The end of the week I was so ready to purchase I put the car on my car insurance, when I get there I finally test drove the car. I notice 2 alert lights in the dash board, it also was blinking that the oil change was due, a light was on for one tires air being low, there was a head light out as well. When I go in I tell them about all the issues and ask why all of this wasn't taken care of before I went in, especially when we had just spent the week in contact and the day prepping for the purchase. They say once the sale is official they'd give it a "once over" so okay despite that I sit down with who I assume is a finance person (I was never introduced to anyone so idk who was who) we sit down to go over the sale, on the website and the carfax site, and the car, the price was $17388. now I'm looking and it's showing the price is $18788...so I say, that's not the correct price, he says in fact it is and he puts this laminated form in front of me and proceeds to show me why the price went up. $175 fee for a car detail...$550 for office fees, and another fee for something else that i cant even think of right now, anyway I start asking about all this non sense and say "wait....you charge to wash the car"!? and he says with a straight face "yes" and he is the most condescending rude nasty ego maniac I ever met! He would not budge about this car wash. So I say okay then don't wash it...he says "we already did" lol this went on for a while I was in such disbelief that he was dead serious about these ridiculous charges. They must really be hard up if they need to charge for a car wash of $175 no less. This man got loud and nasty and kept saying "if you don't like it get out" and that i should go somewhere else. He went from zero to 100 in less then ten minutes it was crazy!! I would still be willing to buy the car for the higher price but when i saw how nasty they started becoming and how they werent willing to budge on the fees despite being so ridiculous I wouldn't buy a keychain from them. This "finance manager" or whoever he is is a very tall good looking man who has probably gotten away with everything his whole life that he feels he can treat and speak to everyone anyway he wants, but his personality isn't right for sales. He needs to be seen and not heard And I feel badly for any girlfriend or wife he may have cause he is definitely abusive. read more

I highly recommend purchasing a used car at this dealership. Wally the owner was not your typical salesman. He basically asked me what I wanted when it came down to price. I said it and he accepted and with that even after I bought the car he continued to make the car buying experience extremely helpful. The cars hood had something off with the color matching. Two days after I bought the car I brought it back so I can have him paint the hood which we had negotiated before the purchase but did not realize upon driving home the roof of the car and the tailgate had some peeling paint issues. He not only agreed to paint the hood he also painted the whole roof of the car, the tailgate, and the bottom back bumper. With no charge to me. When I got the car back it looked brand new. Wally said I wanted to make you happy. I was very happy. If I was at a manufactured dealership like Honda. They would have told me to pay half like Toyota did when I bought My Camry 5 years ago for the bottom front bumper only. It was a great experience! Thanks Wally! read more
