What's great about Anthoy's service is that he'll prioritise them for you and let you know what has to be immediately attended to. He definitely came in handy when my car was startin' to die! Mark-Caesar is an exception to the rule when it comes to the many issues owners have to deal with. First and foremost, he is a real, thoughtful mechanic, not just a technician who replaces parts. He is also often less expensive than dealerships, while delivering higher-quality work--especially as your vehicle ages. Years ago, I owned a Sienna that leaked oil. The former Weitzes Toyota "repaired" it for $900, only for the oil light to come back on. Their solution was that I should consider buying a new vehicle rather than addressing the issue. Mark was aghast at that suggestion. He recommended an oil change with a high-zinc content, asked me to monitor the oil, and return when it dropped by 1L. The issue was resolved for under $200, and I was able to keep the vehicle for several more years. On another occasion, an extended family member's Venza had a non-functioning left high beam. The dealership ed a very expensive and unnecessary $3,000+ repair to replace the entire headlight assembly. Mark identified the actual part causing the problem and resolved the issue for less than a third of the dealership's quote. He is straightforward, honest, and genuinely has his customers' best interests at heart. In fact, if your vehicle is no longer worth repairing, he will tell you honestly to get rid of it. I have happily recommended friends and family members to Mark-Caesar's, and they have become regular customers who all sing his praises. You would be hard-pressed to find anyone equal to him, never mind better.

The partners (Roman, Sam and Phil) explain what is needed, and do good and honest work at a fair price. Unlike many other shops I have dealt with, they will often bring my attention to something that will require work such as brakes, but advise that this can be deferred until the next oil change. I appreciate that type of honesty and care. The shop is a little hard to find but they have a loyal clientele and are always busy. They must be doing something right... recently found out they have been at this location for eleven years.

Visited this mechanic for the second time for the same issue (horn not always working)…read more First, I take back my assessment that Jimmy is "mechanic's mechanic". He was friendly with me on my first visit, but was rather cold on the second. When I said that I want to disconnect a theft-protection sensor under the hood (a common practice for Mazdas of this generation), he explained to me that it is not easy to do and told me to go home and do it in my spare time. - Well, why would I drive there in the first place if I wanted to do the dirty jobs myself? I said I also want to check the transmission mount, but he interjected that the next customer was already waiting for him. He didn't follow up if I wanted to schedule another appointment. Second, the wait times and punctuality. Both times I visited him I arrived on time. Both times I had to wait while he was busy with something else or taking calls. And that's another thing: he doesn't have a secretary, so he has to take calls which sometimes last 15 minutes. On my second visit the job (replacing the horn) took him about 15 minutes. Another 55 minutes were spent with me waiting while he was in his "office". Third, the sneaky pricing. On my first visit he told me the labor would be 70 CAD, on the second visit it was suddenly 75 CAD. And that's in addition to the 60 CAD diagnostic charge for this trivial problem after my first visit. All in all, I paid 152 CAD for labor alone for replacing a faulty car horn. Not too bad, actually, in Toronto prices. But, unfortunately, I will not be coming back with the rest of the issues my car has accumulated over the years.

Bring all the family vehicles here for tires, brakes, oil change, etc. Not one complaint in over 10 years. The service, pricing, and customer service is always great. We've had European, Japanese, and domestics. They work on all of them, and if there is something specialized (ie specific luxury german car programming or recalls) they just give me the honest advice and advise what to do as opposed to trying to make a quick buck off me. They're a great shop to drop in, get things done on time, and then be on your way. Most importantly for a mechanic they explain things well, no nasty surprises, and the pricing is very fair and transparent. They're always happy to help in a pinch, they give honest good advice, and it's frankly a pleasure to have an honest mechanic. Hard thing to come by!
