So my family got stuck at big Bear when my car decided to die because the battery died. I actually walked 2 miles to get to the AutoZone. The attendant at the AutoZone was super friendly and was able to guide me every direction he gave me a starter jumper kit that I was able to restart my car and get myself down to the AutoZone once I was there he personally helped me to change out the battery in my car and did everything he possibly could to make sure that I could make it back down the mountain and get it to mechanic safely. I really appreciate the time and energy. The gentleman at the AutoZone was able to give me so that my family especially my two year-old son and I were able to Go home. read more

Love this place. Had a dead battery was able to get it jumped and drove over here to auto zone. They replaced the battery free labor with purchase of battery. Under 15 mins to get it done from the time I walked in. AAA will not do battery replacements in big bear this is your best option! read more

Came in on a Sunday afternoon, the lace was pretty empty. I used their code reader, and the people behind the counter were really friendly about it. After they told me what was wrong , they offered me a printout of the different codes that my truck was throwing. Super helpful, and very convenient, especially when you live up here. Walked in and went to register, there were three people behind the counter alone and did not acknowledge . A girl came up to Help me.., she mumbled something..... no personality or Customerservice skills. She doesn't know how to use her words I explained what I wanted. She rang it up and gave her $100 bill. And she looked at it as though it was foreign and said she doesn't have change for that. I asked her if she could talk to the manager and she said she was the manager. she definitely is not going to be showing good example of customer service skills to the employees so don't expect a friendly welcome. It is so nice to have autozone in big bear now. The guys there are super great, and i'm good at finding parts, and the best thing is most of their parts seem to be in stock.. A couple parts we're able to get by the same day or next morning.. That is amazingly helpful in a small town. Also best of all, everything can be kept on your account. So you don't have to worry about losing your receipts. Super easy too let's get parts warranted as well. I couldn't be happier to have autozone here in such a brand new nice store as well. read more

My truck hibernates all winter in the garage because she's elderly and enjoys a long winter's nap. Yesterday we woke her up to come outside, and as expected, her battery had died. AAA came out and jumped her, but her battery had it, AAA was fresh out (because it's Big Bear), so he suggested AutoZone because they would install it free. Daniel K. was so kind and helpful. He showed us the different batteries that would work, and their prices. We chose the gold standard and Daniel K. got some tools and got going. Went to purchase snow chains but didn't have to use them. Box is unopened. They refuse to refund us $200+. Unbelievable poor customer service. I recommend if you are going skiing, purchase your snow chains at an establishment where they will refund you in case you don't use them. It's a bummer because now we have to drag it home to Hawaii. read more

I purchased snow chains from here online. They said the ones that I bought were no good so they upsold me to better ones. Spent $240. Just to find out that it doesn't fit. We took it back not even an hour later and was told that all sales are final. I called just now and reached out to a manager of the store (named Jared I think). I thought maybe he would even try to empathize with my situation but he basically said he gets thousands of people like me calling him every year. Must be good business scamming thousands of people at this store. When I asked what I should do, he told me to contact corporate customer service. I asked for the number and he told me to Google it. Five stars to this AutoZone location for being open on January 1st. It was the only auto parts shop open around Big Bear on New Years day. It was snowing and chains were required and these guys seemed to have chains and cables for all king wheels. It saved many Big Bear visitors a day. As for me, I only needed new wipers. Don't forget to stick them out when its snowing and when you leave the car parked. Great store with variety of everything. read more

BEWARE OF THE TIRE CHAINS YOU PURCHASE I've been coming to big bear for 10yr and I'm very well aware of the chain requirement which is unnecessary for 4 wheel trucks like mine. However everyone at the mountain confirmed due to this crazy storm the roads are zoned R3 and they will turn you around even in a 4 wheel drive truck if you don't have chains installed. So we went to advanced auto, as were many other people who were leaving the mountain to follow the directions of the unnecessary requirement. I tell one employee at autozone the size of our tires, he looks it up in the system and gives us the recommended size and also confirms about the R3 rule. We hire one of chain installers "who are not employed by Autozone" to install the chains we bought only to find they don't fit. After THREE back and fourths between the installer and the auto one employee we are forced to buy a SECOND pair through the chain installers and we're not allowed to return the chains purchased from autozone. This is ridiculous because one of t he hundreds of people coming down the mountain would happily buy these chains knowing that they were never used (literally purchase 5min prior). And we were never told by Autozone that the chains were non refundable. To make my frustration boil even more we made it down the mountain just fine and we're never stopped or asked to check the chains. read more

It was around 7:45 PM that my car's battery went kaput so I got a jump and drove to Auto Zone on Big Bear Blvd. The staff was able to get me the battery I needed and install it in less than 15 minutes. I know closing time is not the time you want a customer with a dead battery, but Chuck was able to take care of business quickly and professionally.
