Recently, a check engine light came on in one of our cars. I took it to AutoZone to have a diagnostic check run. They said I needed a new alternator and a few other parts serviced or replaced. I took it to Phil's. They thoroughly checked the car and ran their own diagnostics, and it turns out it wasn't the alternator. This isn't a ridicule or slam of the folks at AutoZone. It's just a vote of confidence and appreciation, knowing that there's an honest mechanic here in Big Bear Lake; they could've easily taken advantage of us. Within a few weeks of driving the truck it was making sounds like the pump was going back out. We brought the truck back to knights, they looked at it again and admitted the part was faulty. They replaced our pump with no cost. This showed outstanding integrity since In the past, we've dealt with mechanics who shrug off their mistakes and make it seem like it's your fault to get more money out of you. Not the case here. Love this shop. Won't find a more honest mechanic than Dave Knight in the mountain communities.

Had an issue with my suspension and needed to make my way back to LA...Bear Valley Overland stayed until 6PM to fix my truck and made sure I made it home safe. You can tell these guys really just wanted to help. They could have been home, showered, fed and two beers deep by 6PM, instead they stayed to help me and my family. Many other mechanics would have turned me down or charge me and arm or a leg. On road or off road, these are the most genuine people in the business. Highly recommend.

He was right--our battery was completely done. An hour later, with a new one installed, we were back on the road. We were much farther up the mountain this time, and my signal was so spotty that my location was pinging miles away. The owner, Corey, personally called me, knew the trails well, and still managed to find us. He navigated rough terrain, got us safely out, and provided incredibly helpful insight. It was clear the issue was more serious than a battery. Corey recommended towing to a dealership since no local shop could likely diagnose it over the holiday weekend. He even called the Dodge dealership in Moreno Valley himself to coordinate and make sure we could speak directly with the service manager. The level of professionalism was truly outstanding. This morning, their driver Reyes towed my truck to the dealership and was an absolute pleasure to work with--friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The attendant at the AutoZone was super friendly and was able to guide me every direction he gave me a starter jumper kit that I was able to restart my car and get myself down to the AutoZone once I was there he personally helped me to change out the battery in my car and did everything he possibly could to make sure that I could make it back down the mountain and get it to mechanic safely. Lee suggested a few items (air filter, cabin filter, and tires) needed to be replaced on my car. He didn't mention wiper blades. Replaced those myself the month before. Lee said in 2022 that those blades were worn out. Point to this was Lee was honest! Like what I stated in Dec 2022, I would keep on having this dealership service my car as long as Mr. Lee Bach is in their Service Department.

Second time using JC Mobile Auto Glass, and I have nothing but good things to say…read more At some point, the windshield on my 2026 Toyota Corolla took a rock strike near the lower edge of the glass, close to the frame, without me even realizing it. I drove to Los Angeles and parked in a covered garage on a humid day. When I parked, there was no visible crack. However, when I returned about four hours later, a crack had propagated approximately 12-14 inches up the windshield. My best guess is that the combination of temperature, humidity, and pressure changes caused the damage to spread. I called JC Mobile Auto Glass on a Thursday around 4:00 PM. They ordered the replacement windshield from San Bernardino and had it delivered to their High Desert shop by 9:00 AM the following morning. They gave me a two-hour service window (9:00-11:00 AM), and the technician arrived at my home right on schedule. The technician was very conscientious when working around the plastic trim surrounding the Toyota Safety Sense front-facing camera. Those components can be fragile, but he took his time, carefully removed the original windshield, and professionally installed the new one in just under 45 minutes. The workmanship was excellent, and he treated the vehicle with care throughout the installation. I was very satisfied with both the price and the service. The convenience of having a technician come directly to my home, especially at such a reasonable price, made the experience even better. The new windshield looks fantastic, and I wouldn't hesitate to use JC Mobile Auto Glass again. Great work, JC!

Their website had detailed information on all of their coaches, trailers, and fifth wheels, which made it easy to narrow down what we were looking for. I had a few follow-up questions about a fifth wheel, and they responded right away. When we went to see it in person, Juan walked us through every detail of the fifth wheel. He was incredibly knowledgeable and explained where everything was and how it worked. I was honestly a little overwhelmed--this 39-foot, 2022 Raptor was much bigger and fancier than anything I'd ever owned (my previous RV was a well-loved but aging 2004 Bounder!). We made an offer, signed the paperwork, and waited about a week for everything to be ready. During that time, we had Riverside Hitch install the new B&W hitch we needed for towing. They did an excellent job and offered the best price we found. When we returned for delivery, the Raptor was washed, hooked up, and ready for our final walkthrough. The loan documents were prepared and the financing process was incredibly fast. We even received a better interest rate and lower payments than we expected. We had looked at after market warrantees but the company they offered was a better price and way better coverage. We were in and out in about an hour, which was a blessing since we had driven from Colton and had to tow this beast home for the very first time! I pray for KARV's continued success. They truly earned our business, and I've already recommended them to three friends and family members who are looking for newer RVs. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them again!

My girlfriend, a couple of friends, and I went up to Big Bear last year, and I forgot I promised the man that helped us, that I would give him a Yelp review. So I'm doing it now, better late than never. Anyway, the experience we had at Big Bear Auto Repair, was terrific! When we were driving up to our cabin, the check engine light came on, so on the day we left, my girlfriend and I took her car in the morning to Big Bear Auto Repair, and had them diagnose the issue. I'm a car guy and know my stuff and I couldn't find anything wrong with the engine or anything else for a matter of fact. So when we took it to there, the fellow who helped us, Dave, scanned it, told us that the issue was that the car, basically needed better gas to adjust for the change in air pressure. He made it fun and put our minds at ease and told some funny jokes as well. Later on we went to NAPA Auto Parts and bought some Fuel Injector Cleaner and put it in the car, fueled up and left, and there has never been an issue since! read more

I have lived in Big Bear Lake full-time for about 16 years. I have used various repair shops here, but I will only use Big Bear Auto Repair. I don't say this just to flatter them, but to say that they are the best group of mechanics I have ever met. I have had them do numerous difficult repairs on my 1996 Ford Crown Victoria, and they fix it right. And the other comments about them being friendly, well, that is true - but they also have a team of mechanics with more knowledge than you will find at other shops. Once again above and beyond service. My F-150 was running poorly and the scanner pointed to the fuel pump. Once the pump was out the debris was cleaned out of the tank and the fuel filter changed. Upon test driving after the repair a sound in the steering was noticed and worn ball joints were diagnosed. An extra day to do this unexpected repair was understandable and now the truck runs and drives like new again! Thank you Danny and Steve! read more
