When I first called to inquire, they didn't rush me off the phone--they took the time to go over different tire options and pricing, which I really appreciated. They were super friendly and helpful from the start. Even though they had to pick up the tires down the mountain, they still got me on the schedule for the very next day. Prices were very reasonable, and when I came in, the team got the tires installed and the alignment completed within the timeframe they estimated. STAY AWAY from this establishment. Regrettably, I encountered an issue with my vehicle's braking system. I visited the location for an inspection, and I immediately regretted the decision. While I do not attribute blame to the mechanics, I hold responsible the front desk personnel, as it is evident they are in charge. It should be noted that they caused my BATTERY TO DRAIN. I informed them of this issue, and their response was that it was likely due to the door being left open too long by their staff. They refused to accept any responsibility. Although they assisted with a jump start, no further assistance was provided. Subsequently, I took my vehicle to O's Tires across the street. The technician confirmed that my battery was drained and mentioned that I would need a replacement,. This diagnosis proved accurate, as my Subaru failed to start shortly after I drove it off Gino's parking lot, within less than five minutes. This location is highly disappointing. Several days later I asked if they could tighten a nut on a towing component and they did - and refused to accept payment. I made an appointment to get my tire checked out, I had a small leak caused by a screw in my tire. A worker had me pull my truck in. He didn't even take my tire off to check it out. Literally a minute later he lets me know my tire cannot be patched I need a new tire... they quoted me 450.00 for a new tire..my tires were literally brand new .I went to another tire shop outside of big bear and they quickly removed and fixed ...so much for taking care of locals.. costed me 10.00 to patch. Easy for an owner to make a suggestion from an office... I guarantee the repair was done proper and legally. Just felt like the service there was a joke.... I am up in Big Bear this week and I brought my boat with me. During the day today, I saw my tire pressure dropping on my left rear tire on my suburban. The guy at Halloway's marina recommended Gino's and so I ran over there with my truck. Gino's took me in immediately and fixed the tire which had a nail in it. I got a flat tire with a nail in it on Fourth of July. A friend help me change the tire with my spare and this morning Tuesday morning, I called Gino's to see if I could get an appointment to get it fixed. They said they were pretty booked, but they would squeeze me in at 2:30. I was there by 2:15 and Gino himself was behind the counter, which was a rarity, but because they were short staffed, he was in. They repaired my tire and remounted it and put my spare tire back up underneath. When I asked my total, he told me it was the new customer special, which was free. I thought he was joking at first, but he was completely serious. I contacted Gino and they agreed to issue me a full refund. I would have liked to return the incorrect tire to them once I'm back at the Big Bear Lake, but I have already traded it in when I replaced it yesterday. Therefore, I asked them to deduct the trade-in value from the refund. I still wish I had received the correct tire in the first place. Horrible!!! They take forever and have zero customer service skills ... they're lucky to be the only tire shop in big bear ... someone looking for a great business opportunity?! Come to big bear and open a tire shop ... to go on further no you are not sorry you were superdisrepectful and stated why would you know anything mark would be doing?! We are at the big bear area for a short vacation. This, we realized the rare tire had low tire pressure. We came to Gino. Unfortunately the location of the nail was not repairable. Tyler was great. He explained everything, and gave us a few different options. Plus, the safety recommendations for each options. I will say, they truly think for their customers and seat at our position. They understand we do not live in the mountain and didn't even try to push the sales. Ended up, they helped us to put on the spare tire. We drove down to the Costco and had all 4 tires changed. So my car was stranded dead in the water in my driveway in Sugarloaf. I called one repair shop and they said they could look at it next week. That wouldn't work. So I called Gino's and Tyler quickly and professionally answered the phone. He said bring it in tomorrow morning and they would get right to it. They quickly and correctly figured out that it was a clutch safety switch that had failed. I just picked up my car, which is back in action. They finished it quicker than their initial estimate. I had used Gino's for tires and Spike Spyder chains a long time ago. Will not hesitate to use them again in the future for any auto matter and highly recommend their services!!! read more

Add me to the long list of cars getting nails in the tire on the way up the mountain...on a holiday weekend no less. I was stressed and had no clue how to resolve the issue with most garages closed. Got a recommendation for Gino's from Licona's Towing and was at the office when they reopened Tuesday at 8AM. By 8:11AM I had paid and was walking out the door with my tire repaired. Just drove 470 miles home on that repair, and I cannot thank the crew at Gino's enough! Tyler and the guy that opened the gate (sorry I didn't catch your name) were upbeat and greeted us enthusiastically (even though we were those crazy customers waiting for the gate to open). Amazing service. I got a 3" screw on the drive up to Big Bear in one of my tires. I was able to make it up to our cabin but failed at plugging it myself, and had my car towed to Gino's. Gino's crew was amazing. They got to my car within 15 minutes, took the tire off, patched it and reinstalled it quickly. I was in and out within an hour and able to spend the rest of the day skiing. The price was super reasonable, less than the cost of my ski rental!!! read more

My Niece needed a tire checked out on her 33 ft RV since it was not holding air. Too heavy to jack up so we inflated and headed to Gino's. They had a jack that allowed them to remove the tire and found no damage or leak to the tire. But found a leaky valve stem which they replaced for free. To start with I am an ASC Master Collision Tech and an instructor at UTI . I have been in the industry for over 26 years believe me I know what I am doing. I installed new struts on my girlfriends Toyota Venza. I installed the lug nuts to factory specifications with a torque wrench per Toyota guidelines. We needed an alignment and had had a good working relationship with Gino's Tire and even recommended them often to others. The car was aligned and within two days my girlfriend was driving the car up the hill on the 330 and one of the front wheels just came off and the car fell over. We were lucky no one was hurt. Having owned and operated auto businesses I asked Gino if he would replace the studs and lugs and align the car. He stated that the lugs must have been loosened by someone who had it out for me. (The lugs snapped from being over torqued with an air impact) He refused and stated his guys never take the wheels off for an alignment and he had a video to prove it. I tried again the next day and he again told me he had a video so I wanted to see it. He told me to F off and yelled other profanity at me and told me to get a lawyer. I contacted the auto repair enforcement division of California known as the Bureau of auto repair. They attempted to investigate - he stonewalled them and even told them to leave. The inspector brought up the video to Gino and he stated that it is a video of how to align a car not of my car being repaired. THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOUND HIM AT FAULT AND LIABLE THIS IS ON RECORD WITH THE BAR Before this incident I had only positive interactions with Gino. I don't understand why he was so hostile toward me and my girlfriend. To tell you the type of person I am I didn't sue and just repaired the vehicle and moved on. read more

I've tried several mechanics in Big Bear and I'm finally sticking with Gino's. All parameters I can think of when choosing a mechanic - they got it right. Customer service is top-notch. Prices are super reasonable compared to other places here. Hell, Subaru stealership wanted to charge me $300 for some non-existent oil leak, and at Gino's they pointed out this oil leak doesn't even exist! 4 1/2 years ago when I moved here I had an issue with my car and found myself at Gino's where a lovely, kind, professional young man repaired my tire and calmed my nerves. In the time since I have sponsored repairs over the telephone sharing my credit card number with Gino's knowing that I could trust them to charge me exactly the amount on which we agreed. Today I was back again with my tire pressure light ablaze having checked the psi in my four tires a few times with nothing amiss when the Gina's associate reminded me that it may be the spare on which some cars have a sensor...
