I placed an online order earlier in the day for some brake fluid. I'm up at 4am so I have much better chance at follow through if it's ready for pick-up rather than me going to the store, shopping for the item and waiting in line. I'm honestly yawning just thinking about it... plus it's boring yet necessary car stuff and I'm a chick so there's that.... I shopped through Rakuten to earn my 1%. Yes, I'm fiscally wise aka cheap. ;) The checkout process as well as the email communication was stellar and my order was ready relatively fast. I stopped by Auto Zone after work and went in the store to pick-up my order. The gentleman who assisted me was both efficient and kind. He processed my pick-up quickly, was very knowledgeable and patient in answering my questions and grabbed my attention as I was exiting the store to inquire if I wanted a receipt. Came here for a battery exchange because the aftermarket alternator I had purchased a year back had been overcharging several of my electrical components. Always buy OEM, even if it's remanufactured! Or at least, a very well known, reliable aftermarket part. Anyways, the battery happened to be stuck due to the battery hold down kit (a fancy way of saying a big long bolt and plastic wedge that hold down the battery securely) had rusted so badly (again, low end aftermarket product) I couldn't remove the darn battery. With the assistance of Shane and Lele, two of the employees at the Auto Zone, my battery was eventually able to be removed and replaced. If it hasn't been for their diligent and persistent efforts, I would have undoubtedly had to pay a mechanic to take the battery out. My battery terminal connectors also needed replacing (yeah, my car is a hot mess), and they both geared me in the right direction, which included a brief explanation on how to replace the connectors with ease. I don't usually have such great experiences at Auto parts stores, but this one was surely memorable! Thanks guys! read more

This employees here are clueless, the older gentleman at first had clue how to find my headlight bulb for my Kia Soul day the Soul doesn't show up in their system!!?? How???? Then he asked a female employee who told him my 2020 Soul was too new for them to have a bulb!!! What???? Finally the older gentleman looked up the model number on old bulb and found a hopeful fit for my car! Only reason I'm giving them two stars is because of him, the lady was dismissive and when he showed her how he found it she just shrugged her shoulders and said ok! Poor service! Thank goodness for rockauto!Walked in and asked for Dorman tailgate cables and was told isle 6 left hand side.I had to pause and just think wtf is guy saying.So I played along went over to the isle and looked and just as I thought the guy didn't know what tailgate cables were.Turned around and headed for the door I wasn't even gonna bother trying with the guy.As I'm leaving he asked if I found everything and I was honest and said I need tailgate cables not bunjee cords.Whoever have them 5 stars is a damn liar. read more
