For those of you that perform your own oil changes, they do accept used oil and filters here. Just go to the end of aisle 4, then make a quick left and you'll see a huge blue oil container. There isn't a receptacle to put your used filters, so just leave it on top of the container. And make sure you bring a rag with you in case you spill any oil. As far as pricing goes, make sure you check their weekly flyers for deals. Their pricing is competitive with Pep Boys but the jury is still out on whose aftermarket parts are more reliable. I've been using Duralast brake pads for years and have no complaints, but I know others swear by Napa or Pep Boys parts. If you have to make a major repair, like a timing belt or catalytic converter, you should always use dealer parts. The reason being is that the part is made specifically for your car and will be made better and last longer. I know most people would prefer to save money and buy a cheaper part, but you'll end up spending more in the long run by doing that. This place is madd slow they literally have one person doing everything while the other workers are eating shit. The store manager checked us out and he was so rude he didn't greet us and when i asked him a simple question he just stared at me like i was speaking Chinese. I asked for help looking for a product. The guy showed me where they might be and he immediately said we don't have it. He barely looked. I said it was in stock in this store and then gave me a "not really my problem" face. I asked where else it might be and also asked if he could check if it was in stock in the system. The store itself is well stocked and in a convenient location. So the structure and it's contents get 5-stars The employees, on the other hand, leave much to be desired. My 70 year old father went there to buy a tail light bulb. After several minutes of trying to install it himself he went inside to request assistance. The store was empty and they were standing around discussing how to successfully execute insurance fraud. They rudely blew him off and told him to go to a mechanic. It wouldn't bother me too much, except my sister has been there to ask for all sorts of assistance and as you guessed they happily help. I had the absolute worst experience at the autozone on 8950 sw 137 ave. I had purchased a bottle of power steering with stop leak back in June which I did not have to use. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the receipt. I came in the store and went straight to the cash register with the power steering fluid bottle in my hand and told the cashier Marlon M that I wanted to return it. I guess he wasn't listening and instead of returning it he was charging me for it. I explained again that I was returning it but I didn't have the receipt. He asked for my number and found my name in the system. He scanned my drivers license and gave me a merchandise credit for $6.94. I then went to the back of the store to buy a 5qt tank of motor oil. When I got to the register there was someone in front of me so I stood in the line. At this time I hear the other employee, who said that his name was Danny tell Marlon "so that nig&&r stoled that and then returned it" . I thought that comment was quite inappropriate, specially since Danny was taking care of a lady at the moment. When it was my turn to pay , Marlon tells me that I had stolen the bottle of power steering fluid as I came in and then went to return it. I became very upset and asked him to check the surveillance videos and he said that if he did he would see me taking the item. I then asked him what sense does it make to steal a $6.94 item to buy oil worth $31.99. He then responded that people do that. I responded to him that I don't do that. Marlon then proceeded to tell me to just get out of the store. I then walked out as I didn't want to create a bigger scene than this guy had already done. I'm a professional with a doctorate degree and I have never been so embarrassed or humiliated in my life. I really feel that Marlon should be held liable for his actions that totally ruined the rest of my night. Danny should also be coached on how to speak in front of customers and the possible repercussions of using the word "nig@@r". These guys have no idea what customer service is, I don't mind that they are clueless about cars but the fact that they are rude is not acceptable. Just went on to check on a part. They did not have it in stock but the parts attendant named 'Andres' wAs very helpful in offering to locate a store that carried the part I was seeking. Unfortunately the nearby stores did not carry the parts in stock so he even printed the part no on a paper and informed me to pass by a competitor with the part number as they stocked it as well. There were 4 employees working at the time. One taking care of the return, one stocking, and the other two hanging out doing nothing. No one said anything to me. Seems like no one spoke English. I came in for a battery change and I waited for quite a while. I don't mind if it was busy but I was just waiting to have my battery changed as the lady in the counter was entertaining other customers that are coming in. I just realized that the lady is the same person who will put my new battery. Finally, the lady came out and I followed her to my car. I was watching her and I realize that she's struggling and I tried to be nice by helping her, to speed things up but all I got from her is "I don't need your help! I do this everyday!" Before I left I just told her nicely that "You'd be more successful in what you do if you start asking for help". I am a supervisor in one of the big hospitals in Miami and I still ask for help.
