After a dozen calls looking for a business that could do the work, we were finally referred to Spring Menders, who said they could do the job. It was well worth the two-hour drive to their shop in Norfolk to have James tell us the king pin problem did not exist but one wheel bearing reservoir was dry and needed to be replaced. The other needed fluid. He explained the issue thoroughly, even showed me all the parts involved. The work was completed by early the next morning at a fair price. He referred us to a tire dealer who installed the new tires at Spring Menders' shop, and we were safely on our way. We are thankful we were referred to an honest guy who clearly knows his business.

In the past six months I've had several of their FREE services conducted on our family autos. Most parts stores have similar services they offer, so it really comes down to how the service is conducted and pricing. Several months ago my wife needed new wipers and just this morning I elected to get a new set myself. It seems obvious when you need new wipers they are not working well. However, they are willing to inspect if you like. They have all kinds of different brands and price levels to accommodate. My recommendation is to never go cheap, it's not worth it. Even going with a better brand they only last around 10-12 months. Today I came in for a battery test which was conducted quickly and efficiently with a paper read out showing the battery still had some life, but was in a precautionary area. No pressure to replace. I elected to hold off on replacement until after Christmas. I did decide to get new wipers which the clerk put on my car. They are not allowed to accept tips. The store is not only convenient to my home, but I have found them to be very good, especially the service items they provide for FREE! I will be back.

As I called for help a nice man offered assistance. He told me he had a repair shop and I could have my car towed there. I check with my insurance company's roadside assistance, and they approved. He gave me a ride home in his car and he lead the tow truck to his shop. He then came in next day, a Sunday morning, and repaired my car at a fraction of what the dealership would have charged me. Since that night I have gone to Daniel's for new batteries and they were tested and installed promptly. Once again, at a substantial savings over my dealer's repair shop. Daniel's Automotive Center has earned my loyalty. I will be a customer as long as they are there. It is a bit of a drive from my home in Kempsville, but it is worth it. Good, honest, hard working people should be rewarded.
