Every time I decide to give this place a second chance, I'm shown exactly why I dont shop here. This location has got to have the worst management possible to be able to have the cashiers act like that. My question is, if I'm being helped by someone why does another cashier have to interrupt and join the conversation in the rudest way possible? The cashiers have no manners or costumer service skills whatsoever. I did have a nice cashier helping me today until like I said, we were rudely interrupted. This is exactly why O'Reilly's is better. AutoZone on Wilson Way in Stockton, California. I called in a few days ago looking for a part for my car. This AutoZone surprisingly had the $54.99 Flywheel I was looking for. All the other AutoZone's in Stockton let me know this location had two in stock. I came in today for the part and I was being helped by Parts Manager Mario. I told him I called and they would have my part ready for me. So he got the part fairly quickly. The cool part my Flywheel was on hold for a few days. A lot of places just won't hold parts that long. Parts Manager Mario showed me today excellent customer service skills. I liked the way he showed my Grandpa a lot of respect and thanking him for his service for our country. You put a smile on my Grandpa's face, that's a wonderful thing to do. They do offer a Military discount here. My Grandfather who's a Korean War Veteran was with me and showed his ID and we got a little discount. My second visit of the day, I was in need of some engine cleaner. The place was jammed packed with customers. Nobody was at the front register, and everyone was being helped by the AutoZone staff ay the information/customer service area to ask for the parts. Parts worker Peter who was helping several people noticed me waiting in line. Then he quickly came to me and rang me out. I was pretty impressed by his multitasking skills. The people that work in this store can't even order a part right. I told them what kind of car I had they ordered the wrong piece I had to drive all the way across town to pick it up .... I have a appointment to have it installed tomorrow of course I can't now . I have the wrong piece I had to go back to the auto parts store where they wanted to argue with me about it and steel I have to wait To have the part installed on my car I would not recommend anyone go to the store if I could give zero stars I would. This place is a dump, but perhaps that is to be expected for Wilson Way. I wouldn't have gone there except it had the part I wanted in stock (and I felt like completing the repair that day). I show up and people are working on their cars in the parking lot...meh. I look for the part, but for some reason the parts are NOT shelved in numerical order...so I have to scan dozens of options for a small 5 digit number. Now for the "ghetto" play I was treated to while waiting, and waiting in line: First, some scumbags walk in the store with a backpack, and then walk out without buying anything. One sets off the door alarm. Obviously this scumbag is stealing something. But the funny thing is, this guy must be an experienced thief and/or knows the employees suck. There are approx. 6 employees working at the time. 3 women attempt to confront the guy...verbally. But the guy is playing dumb and is pulling an OJ "putting on the gloves" routine with his pockets. Then a couple of guy employees come over, and one asks him to just drop what he has and leave. But our steely and experienced thief apparently knows this guy doesn't have the balls to stop him either...so more fake rummaging thru his pockets. The guy employees now give up too...and the thief walks away with whatever he stole. So not only were the 1/2 dozen people in line (10 feet away) treated to this exhibition of incompetence, but we had to wait an extra 5-10 minutes for this stupidity to play out while 5 employees were distracted by this nonsense. (Note to Autozone and its employees, the "anti-theft" exit is based on this thing called "science", so it's much more reliable than some scumbag's word that he doesn't know why it's going off. Even if you don't want to stop thieves, you should just call the police next time). So yeah, never going back. Next time I'll buy it online...from someone else. read more

Had to replace my 2005 Toyota Prius Hybrid auxiliary 12V battery. Called all around Stockton Autozones and they didn't have my specific battery. Only Autozone that had my battery was Wilson Way. Pepboys tried to rip me off by charging installation fee and almost double the price Autozone would. When I went into the Autozone store the manager said they did not replace batteries and I told her someone over the phone told me they would and have the tools. I due not have any tools and thought I was just out of luck since my car has to be jumped everytime to start because battery was dead. She then had one of the employees Tim who worked there come out to help. Tim was just about to go on his lunch break and didn't end up going to help me out. He went out of his way to do this without any issues. Keep in mind it is like 100 degrees outside and this poor guy was sweating and just doing his job. I highly recommend anyone to go to this location. The whole staff was super friendly and helpful. I asked Tim if I can treat him to lunch and he said no worries brother and its ok. I will be coming back and hopefully upper management sees this and understands that Tim is just an amazing employee but also just a great human being. Thank you Tim and Autozone because you save this customer a lot of money. Please give this man a raise!!!!! read more

I'm giving a rating of 1 not because your #1 but because I ordered a part, a $400 part it was due in the next day at 1pm so the next day I called first employee said YES it's here so I went to pick up my part at 215pm and guess what NO part. Can't find it, system says it arrived.... so employee ordered it yet AGAIN so hopefully it will arrive. All of the Autozone parts are stored and ordered from here in the Stockton area supposedly and I believe them; it's a pretty big building. Anyways, the guys there kinda suck at service (of course doesn't all auto service??) and the lines are sometimes long and slow. I would just order the parts from somewhere else or online if you know what you're looking for. read more

This is the only store in town that I would never go to again. The autozone by my house is a lot nicer! I went today to get some light bulbs for my headlights. I called in this morning to make sure they would hold the ones I need so they did. When I got in they said they didn't have the ones I needed in stock! Like how does that happen.
