Asian lady helped me find the correct size for a vacuum hose that I needed to smog my car. She even offered to cut off a small piece so I can try it on to see if it fits. She was very helpful and I ended up being able to smog my car. I was happy with my experience. I bought a valve cover gasket for my BMW 328i. It didn't fit and because I opened the package to verify the size, I was charged a restocking fee. Even though the gasket did not fit my car. I've been going to this place for years. Horrible customer service in my opinion. read more

These guys are good. They are extremely knowledgeable and have always had what I need. The people behind the counter are actually very capable and professional. The first time I was in they were able to find a fan belt that I needed and I was on my way. The last time in I purchased 3 bulbs for three different vehicles. He knew exactly which ones I needed. And one was an odd bulb for my wifes Mini Cooper, he knew it just by looking. I also purchased wiper blades for my pick up and they offered me two options. When I turned around he was installing them for me......just to make sure that they fit well!!! Who does that anymore? I own 7 sevice vehicles for my business and 2 personal. I went in today, because they were recommended by auto zone, to see if they had a y pipe connector for a coolant bypass on my 1994 Honda Civic dx and the lady was very rude. She wouldn't even bother to look up the specific year or model of my vehicle. Her only response to my questions were "no, we don't have that part, no I can't look up that part." They seem to have some harder to find parts that aren't stocked at Autozone, Kragens, or Pepboys. So if you need to get your car back on the road quick it might be worth seeing if they have the part you need. Parts, fluids and tools are all on the pricey side compared to other big chain stores and especially online. Some of the Honda Fluid I saw was actually even more expensive than the dealership so minus one star for that. I'm all for supporting smaller businesses but when I can get the same parts for 1/3 of the price online or at another store I'd rather do that. I had a slight issue with a part that I purchased there which wasn't their fault nor mine. I was told they usually don't take parts back but bring it back ASAP which was a little irritating since it wasn't my error and wasn't convenient to bring it back soon. I made the part work regardless with some old parts mixed with the new parts so I ended up just keeping it anyways. read more

This place is a life saver. I had driven all over town trying to find an upper radiator hose for my STi. No place had any and only Napa could even order one. Autozone, Pep Boys, Kragen are of no use to me anymore. Global had the part IN STOCK! I am never going anywhere else to get my maintenance parts anymore. The hose was made by Gates too, which is Subaru's OEM supplier, which is a huge plus as well. Definitely deserve 5 stars. read more

I Found out about Global Auto Parts on the Akebono Website, They directed me to their Location here in Stockton since they are an authorized dealer for Akebono parts. I was looking for BMW e90 Brake pads and they happened to have them in stock, including the front & rear Sensors. The prices are a little higher than what you will find online, but remember they had the parts in Stock & I really needed the brake pads, so it was definitely worth paying a little extra than having to wait for the orders to ship. I knew what I needed so I didn't really need help with anything on their part, but their shop looks very customer friendly. I'll definitely be coming back to Global Auto Parts in the future for anything I need for my BMW. 5 Stars! read more

Well stocked inventory, keep many hard to find parts for imports on hand. Some parts are kinda pricey, but MOST are competitively priced (on par with AutoZone and Kragen). Either way, if you are working on a project that you want done NOW, paying an extra buck or two beats having to wait for the part to come in at the other auto part stores in town. read more
