An array of oddities indeed and some interesting art/artists. Many items in formaldehyde jars, bones and furs used in creative and Macabre. Bar inside the venue has alcohol and coffee offering. Coffee for me. After going through the whole venue we went to check out the food area also available to us but not needed. Never knew they had this cafeteria. Nice place for all types of venues whether work or personal event, check them out.

First off I must let you know that my son and daughter-in-law were married last year and due to COVID restrictions were not allowed to have a large reception. Well the restrictions were lifted and the party was all set to go. My wife began the planning process over a year ago meeting, texting and talking with Cami who was the Heritage Center manager. She helped me plan the reception decor and food options. We decided on the New York Buffet which included prime rib, shrimp ziti scampi, parmesian crusted chicken, garden salad, roasted garlic potatoes and and assortment of steamed veggies. All the food was delicious, however the prime rib and roasted potatoes were over the top outstanding. We had multiple complements! Kudos goes to the chef. The decor was beautifully displayed with blue bows on the white covered chairs.

The staff do a phenomenal job in making the room beautiful. The food was wonderful, the service was excellent. The servers were top notch--and practically invisible--throughout the night. We were incredibly happy to have had our wedding at the Heritage Center. The one reason for the 4 stars is that Kim, the manager, was very difficult to get in touch with until the week of our wedding. While I understand when people are busy, I didn't feel that my questions were out-of-line or overboard, and it was supposed to be a pretty important day for me. I found the best results were obtained by arriving in person because emails and voicemails went unanswered. TIP: Spring for a package deal, the chair covers and bows were fabulous and made the room seem that much more elegant.

My daughter worked with Jennifer and chose the menu, so I can't name all the things, but there was something with salmon, potatoes, and asparagus that I'm happily eating the leftovers of, and some amazing quinoa with roasted veggies. Service for drinks was like waiting to use the ladies room the line was out the door they had 1 bartender working an event for 150 people which wouldn't be bad if she could hustle but that wasn't the case. Food wasn't bad the turkey was processed like lunch meat it wasn't horrible but how much is a real turkey especially when your paying big bucks to use this place as your venue. Parking stinks not too many spots to park cars. There's also this creepy porcelain doll at the door.

We had our wedding reception at the Agora Grand in August of 2016 surrounded by friends and family…read more We could not have asked for a more perfect venue. (Note: We may be a hair biased, as the groom and his family were parishioners at the former St. Patrick's Church which the Agora Grand has acted to preserve.) The space is naturally beautiful, classic Gothic architecture that draws the eyes up; with the accent lighting in the windows, bar, and ceiling, decorating beyond some nice centerpieces was unnecessary. The layout worked well for our rather large reception, but could still be comfortable and close for a smaller group. The dance floor is centrally located, so getting your guests out on it is that much easier. Our DJ was able to hook in to the built-in sound system quickly without any trouble, and the dance music easily filled the space. We did experience some issues with the acoustics for speeches given through the system, as the natural acoustics of the space are beautiful, but were not compatible for the speaker setup. The Agora Grand staff were apologetic and have since resolved the issue with a completely redesigned speaker setup, so this should not be an issue for future events in the space. As far as the climate control of the space, there is a central air system that kept the space, with many enthusiastic dancing guests, quite comfortable in the middle of the August heat. The choir-loft-turned-balcony-lounge is well appointed and provided an excellent space for our bridal party and parents to relax before getting announced into the reception. The bathroom up there was an added, and much-needed, convenience. The bridal suite itself made for a perfect dressing room for the groom as well. Overall, if we had to do it all over again, we would hands-down use the Agora Grand as our reception venue. We have even contemplated hosting other family events there in the future (milestone anniversaries and birthdays). It is a great space and the staff is second to none and really creates a first class experience for their clients.

When we first visited the Agora it was still a work in progress. You could see with keeping much of the beautiful architecture it was full of history, elegance, and charm. The updates of the lighted bar, concessional, and the unbelievable balcony lounge added that special touch of class. Having the ceremony, the reception, and the Inn all at one location is most convenient. The chapel is simply tasteful with the stained glass windows giving beautiful natural light and the open ceremony area is like a blank canvas you can do as little or as much as you would like for decor. We opted to only have a few lighted trees and lanterns along the couple steps as it's beautiful on it own. The reception was just a short walk around from the chapel, staying right inside the building. When you walk into what used to be St. Patrick's church, now the Agora Grand Event Center you are just blow away. The high ceilings, columns, balcony lounge above with an amazing stained glass window takes your breath away. The lighted bar, windows, and ceilings add that special modern touch. Not to mention you can pick the lighting color to work with your wedding colors. We chose a theme with rustic and elegance that worked perfectly. Really, you can do simple or extravagant at the Agora and win either way. The balcony lounge will not disappoint. Pure elegance and charm with original wood, leather sofas, crystal lamps, and exceptional view over the reception area. There's a suite with a jetted tub, mini bar area, and bedroom to get ready in. We took full advantage of this which was so worth it. The Agora Inn is right there so we chose to rent the rooms for the wedding party. After such an eventful busy day it was nice for us to all go to the Inn and just relax and unwind together. Very relaxing atmosphere to just reminisce on the amazing day we just had. The Inn has historical charm, quaint rooms, with lounging areas on the first floor. Not to mention the wrap around porch on a beautiful night. All in All if you are looking for the perfect fairy tale wedding this is the place for you. Words cannot describe all the details of the Agora. Andrew the owner is fantastic to work with. He had a vision to make the old St. Patrick's church something amazing. This venue exceeded our expectations. Andrew worked with us beginning to end. When I say worked, he worked! The sign is barely visible from the road, the space is very small, and the wedding planner had no clue about wedding traditions. For example, she has the bride's family sit on the right instead of the left and the bride's family came in before the groom's family for both the ceremony and the reception. In addition to the wedding planner being incompetent, the wait staff is very rude. For some reason, I was carded. I am nearly 30 and didn't have my ID with me. The bartender dumped out my drink and refused to give it to me. My family got drinks for me and when they went to the bar they were asked if everyone at the table was over 21, and they said yes (because that's true). A bartender very rudely came to my table, grabbed my drink, and got in my face and yelled at me saying that I knew I couldn't be served. Everyone told her I was over 21 and she didn't care and proceeded to shut the bar down. Also, keep in mind, the wedding party had champagne toasts and most of them were under the legal drinking age. In addition to her extreme rudeness, the waitress was not dressed appropriately, her pants were too tight, her shirt was cut in poor places, and her red bra straps were hanging out. Furthermore, the wait staff removed the Buffet as soon as the last person was walking away, instead of letting people get more. I recently got married and we were able to keep the buffet open as long as we wanted and all of the extra food was boxed for us. I would not recommend this venue to anyone under any circumstances.

I love the style and how well they blended the natural environment and elements of our venue into the shots. There's a great balance between the details and the documentary style shots, and candid portraits of the wedding party and guests. Leading up to the wedding, we had no problem getting our questions answered and paying through their online invoicing system. We were able to visit the office and meet our photographers ahead of time and the whole experience was wonderful. We were welcomed with warmth and cupcakes! They pay attention to the details of the whole experience. This is a top-notch company. I had two disappointments (which is the reason why I didn't give a 5-star review. It would be 4.5 if I could!). The first is that photog team did not set up any fill lights for the formal portraits. I should have asked about this ahead of time, but I thought it was standard for professional portraits. At least at every wedding I have been to, there were a few diffusers or flashes set up even if the shooters were photojournalism/documentary style wedding photographers. The faces and eye sockets are more shadowed than I would have hoped. Also, in retrospect, we weren't getting any fun alternate angles for the group portraits, like looking over our shoulders, holding out our bouquets, holding hands, or moving to have a different background such as the lake in addition to having trees as the background. Alas! The second disappointment is that despite two photogs being there for over an hour while there was live music at our reception, we didn't receive a single image of the amazing seven-piece band in action. I would definitely recommend emilie inc. - just make sure you communicate about exactly what your expectations are ahead of time. Once the wedding schedule gets rolling, it is hard to remember your photography wish list. There are more important things to focus on, like being present for your loved ones and celebration! :)

Emilie even called to talk to me about my vision for the wedding on her family vacation to Disney!
