Every time I go here I want to like it cause the food is decent but the staff only wants to cater to the locals it's so awkward and just weird vibes!!! I was trying to order and some bartender on the other side practically ripped the menu away saying we're on a "nosh" menu, okkk?! How am I suppose to know that??? The other bartender gave me the lunch menu. I asked her to get me the "nosh" menu she literally turned her back & ran off. No words, no comments, no confirmation.... Just a nasty dismissive attitude. She never came back & ignored us. Definitely NO customer service. Our other bartender made excuses for her then proceeded to bring up his wife & kids - NOBODY IS HITTING ON YOU, my friend & I are actually just friendly and wanted a decent lunch. I ordered chicken nibblets with Jamaican jerk sauce - ZERO spice, ZERO kick, why are you calling it that when there are ZERO Scott bonnets in it?!?! Just odd & totally misleading. We visited Krista's for dinner after a day of traveling and checking in at the nearby Perkins House for an overnight stay. We were able to get seats at the bar which was fantastic. Service was stellar the entire night. The staff was so friendly, knowledgeable and hard working; a very popular and busy establishment. We had draft Pacifico beers which were nice and cold. We just had to try the baby pork shanks appetizer with zippy peach BBQ sauce served atop fennel and cabbage slaw with grilled peaches. Absolutely splendid dish! For entrees (which includes a salad and focaccia bread) we ordered the herb encrusted prime rib and the chicken saltimbocca. Both were extremely gererous portions. The chicken was moist and flavorful and the mushroom cream sauce was heavenly! The mashed potatoes and fresh veggies went perfectly with this dish. The prime rib was surprisly tough and chewey, but once we notified the staff, they did everything to try to make it right. We finished off with a limocello digestive. We were well taken care of and enjoyed the ambiance of the space and the vibes at the bar. The restaurant and restrooms were spotless. Small parking lot or on street parking. Stopped in on our way to camping to meet new people and enjoyed an amazing lunch and exceptional service! Only downside was that the restaurant is a bit noisy. I enjoyed a pastrami sandwich that was sooo good, Wayne had a Rachel that was just as good. Our new companions had fish tacos, all perfectly prepared. Go here for delicious true homemade food! Get the Buddha bowl! Hub had the pastrami and loved it and even the fries were fresh and home cut! We sat outside this cute quaint spot which is located amidst a little downtown antique shopping area and were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed this place more than the fancy place we ate at in Portland! Early birthday dinner at one of my favorite places. We had bacon wrapped scallops as an appetizer. Scallops melt in your mouth. We both had the pistacio crusted baked haddock over lemon basmati rice. Also came with broccoli spears, asparagus, carrot and orange pepper. So much food. This came with the house salad which is to die for. Made with spring greens topped with hand it onion crumbs, dried cranberries, sliced almonds and balsamic vinaigrette dressing. They also give you their house bread; which was rosemary spiced. My parents live nearby and have wanted to try this place out for over a year. Came to visit so we made a reservation. The place is cute, got a couple appetizers. The chips were good, the mussels were tasty. I split with my dad and I got three closed mussels which means dead aka don't eat. Weird they wouldn't have noticed before serving? Meh whatever, didn't say anything. Entrees came next. Me and my mom got scallops because they're my favorite sea food. When I'm back in Maine I need scallops. Great they had them on the menu as a special.... Damn, I'm not one to return food but one bite and something was off. I look over at my mom from across the table and I can tell she's thinking the same. They weren't just bad, they had a horrid ammonia gas taste. I've never had scallops this bad. On top of it they were paired with a pumpkin puree (gross) with cold quinoa. If the scallops were good I would have eaten them, not touched anything else and not sent back. We both sent back, I wasn't that hungry anymore but my brother gave me half his steak and I ate some of my wife's food. My mom ordered some fish chowder (that she said also was not good) Disappointed. They didn't seem to care much or try to make anything up to us. Do better. read more

This was my first time to Krista's and I hope it will not be my last! The portions are HUGE and I'm pretty sure this is the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. The only change I would make is I got it with peanut sauce and next time I think I would go with a different kind. Service is friendly and quick and the inside is very cute and comfortable. This great little place tucked away in Cornish, Maine is definitely worth the ride if you're not a local but make sure you have a reservation, It took us two weeks to reserve a table for six. The food is creative, fresh and nicely presented. Portion size is more than generous and prices are very reasonable. Everyone at our table ordered a different entree and there wasn't one unhappy camper in our group. The seared scallops are to die for and I highly recommend any scallop dish they happen to have on the menu. They were cooked to perfection. The prime rib was huge and my brother-in-law couldn't get through half of it. Again, cooked perfectly. The Brussel sprout appetizer is a great choice as is the fried calamari. This is such a cute little restaurant. Very old building and the floors are slanted . It has a lot of charm. Food is amazing and waitress Julie was awesome! They have gluten free rolls for those who have dietary issues. I could barely fit the harvest sandwich in my mouth. The harvest sandwich is turkey cranberries cheese and apple slices It was so big, so delicious. I took half home. It is also served with some homemade pickles and delicious hand cut french fries. I've loved eating at Krista's. Ordered a Thanksgiving prime rib take out. OMG!!! Doesn't the chef taste the food? They dumped A LOT of black pepper in several of the sides. if a chef can't taste a dish to see if it's over seasoned, there's always measuring spoons. The food was delicious and the service was awesome! It is a small restaurant with a nice vibe that makes you feel "at home". Our group of four adults each picked a different entree and each one was delicious and the presentation beautiful! I had the flank steak special and it was so yummy! It came with grilled mac & cheese and grilled zucchini. Oh soooo good! The portion sizes are generous so we did not order appetizers since we wanted to save room for dessert. You could share a meal if you don't want a to go box. We also had a bottle of the "woop woop" Shiraz, red wine, which was very good! One person ordered a cocktail which had rye whiskey, ginger, and some other flavors and it was a delicious drink! Our server was awesome and very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu items. For dessert, we ordered the Almond Joy chocolate cake which was perfectly delicious! They had a good assortment of desserts and they all sounded yummy! The only thing we had a slight issue with was we were first seated at a table right next to a wall air conditioner which was on (we were there on 8/23/25). We all were cold with the air blowing on us so we asked to be moved to another table and luckily they could move us and they were very accommodating. I recommend you make a reservation before hand. My friends said that sometimes you have to make a reservation a week, or more, in aadvance during a busy/holiday season. Thankfully we made our reservation the day before and got a table for the next day for dinner at 6pm. We hope to return to Krista's again! read more

I absolutely love Krista's! They take dinner reservations but not lunch, and they can get pretty busy on weekends. They have great cocktails and great food. Huge portions! Went in to enjoy a good meal--I've been traveling around Maine before visiting my daughter at her summer camp and was craving something fulfilling and this place hit the spot! Their bowl of chili was delicious and the accoutrements were fresh and balanced. I asked for sour cream and a couple of lime wedges to amplify the flavors but it was yummy and quite fun to say I was enjoying chili in July. It was a very large serving, I had leftovers. Mimsy and I visited this charming little New England town and a local antique shop owner recommended Krista's for lunch. The atmosphere is very cozy - love the couches in the bar area - we were seated in the dining room right away. The lunch menu features some good pub food and some vegetarian options too. Our server and other front of the house staff was attentive and friendly. Nice beer list. Mimsy got a Reuben, I hit a build-your-own cheeseburger. If you can finish either one of these, you deserve a medal. They are huge! The burger is 10 ounces, and the corned beef in the Reuben was very generous. They brought out the desserts for us to look at but we were very full already. Fries were nice and crispy. Overall a very pleasant lunch. The dinner menu looks very interesting. I went here for a dinner party with about nine of us and we had a great time. We had a reservation and our table was waiting our arrival. Once we all sat and had our menus we placed our drink orders and reviewed the menus while our drinks were prepared. The service was awesome. Our server came back often to see if we had questions. We placed an order for shared apps and had our drinks and plates in front of us before they arrived. Once we finished the apps we put in our dinner orders. The dinners arrived hot and everyone received their meals together. I order the seared sea scallops that came over spaghetti squash and spinach. There was a sauce that was spread over the scallops that was a bit over the top. Looking at other's meals I saw that they too were covered in sauce. I thought the presentation of the meals was compromised by the amount of sauce squeezed over the top. Everything from the steaks to chicken to the scallops appeared to have an over abundance of sauce which covered up the beautiful meals. Apparently this is the way of the kitchen however It was way too much for me so I had to scrape it off and dip on the side. I think side orders of the sauce would be much better. The meals and apps were enormous and so many of us took home the leftovers to enjoy another time. Nice place, cute decorations, good food, good service. read more

I spent the summer in Maine and went to Krista's multiple times even though it was a 30 minute drive!! Serving sizes are large!! I never finished a meal in one sitting! The drinks are light and refreshing. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Service was great every time I went. Food was consistent! I've been here a few times for different occasions and have enjoyed it every time. Most recently took my mom here for her 75th birthday with some friends. Food was delicious as always, the portions were HUGE. Had to make a conscious decision to only eat part of my meal to save room for dessert. Desserts are home made in house and to die for. From the beginning I had heard great things about this spot in Maine. Had never been there didn't know what to expect. First off, tough parking, right on a small main street. Not a problem. Reservation right on time, got seated right away. Our server Will was very attentive and explained the menu to a tee. Great cocktails and a great menu, small, but had a bit of everything. Meat, fish and veg and gluten free. Our drinks arrived and he took our orders, enthusiastic about our choice. The meal was delicious and more than enough. Very hot, not stuck under a heat lamp. He checked on us without being invasive. Deserts were epic, and we had to take them home. As soon as we got home I dived into my peanut butter chocolate cake. OMG. Overall I would go back. It was a memorable meal with great attentive service. I would recommend Krista's to anyone around the area, or make it a destination spot. Stopped by for lunch recently and wanted to try it out. Started with a bloody mary which was tasty but the glass was full of ice so it went down quicker that i wanted it to. Also at $10 for Cornish I thought a little overpriced. Second drink was a diet coke $4. Ouch. Lunch menu: sadly no seafood except for a lobster roll ($39) which was way overpriced. Wife settled on nachos since no seafood options. I got the roast beef sub which along with hit pepper jelly and fries, was really good. ($16) . So why three stars? Entire menu is pricey. Drinks overpriced and lack of seafood options. Also next table got hamburger which I overheard him say 10oz of meat in a burger was way too much and unnecessary. read more
